Chip City, the illustrious chunky cookie haven (they have thin cookies too!) where even a self-proclaimed non-cookie lover like myself can be wooed by the sugary sirens behind the counter. Now, let's be clear - I'm not exactly the Cookie Monster. In fact, I tend to sidestep cookies like they're a suspiciously familiar ex-friend at a party. But Chip City managed to lure me in with the promise of artisanal delights, merch to make your heart sing, and a staff so kind that I almost believed they'd bake me a cookie on the spot if I asked nicely. * Mint Chocolate Chip Cookie First up, the mint chocolate chip - definitely minty, definitely chocolatey. This cookie does exactly what it says on the tin, staying true to its name, which is something I always respect. That said, it was a bit on the sweet side, but if you're a fan of the classic mint chocolate chip combo, this one will hit the spot. Mint? Yes. Sweet? Yes. Worth it? For sweet-toothed mint chocolate lovers, absolutely. * Banana Cream Cookie My unexpected favorite of the bunch. Less sweet than its counterparts, this one struck the perfect balance, like a well-conducted symphony of flavors. I'm not saying I've converted to cookie fandom, but let's just say this one had me seriously considering it. The sweetness was just right, making it a delightful, albeit surprising, experience. Dare I say it? I loved it. * S'mores Cookie Lastly, the s'mores cookie. This one was a bit too on-the-nose for my taste buds. It's essentially a chocolate chip cookie with a marshmallow twist, hitting all the American cookie stereotypes - sweet, gooey, and sugary enough to power a small city. For those who live and breathe sweet treats, this might be a dream come true. For me, it was a little too much, but I can appreciate it for what it is - a crowd-pleaser. Overall, Chip City may have just made a believer out of this cookie skeptic. The banana cream cookie alone is worth the trip, and the friendly staff and tempting merch don't hurt either. I still prefer it over Cookie Crumz across the street (for now... revisiting to try their banana cream cookie!), and if you're in the market for a cookie that could convert even the most reluctant sweet-tooth, Chip City's banana cream might just be the one to do it.

It's a bit pricey, there's a rewards program, but to be honest the size of these cookies, you can share one with someone else.

Finally had the chance to try Chip City! We were in the area for lunch, and I knew I just had to stop by after. The girls behind the counter recommended the lemon berry and the brookie. We ordered 6: chocolate peanut butter, chocolate chip, lemon berry, brookie, triple chocolate, and confetti. My personal favorite was the triple chocolate! I love the texture of these cookies - warm, gooey, and sweet. Be warned, they are pretty big portions so very filling!
Amazing smell as soon as you enter the store, great service, and bc the cookies have quality ingredients. The vanilla ice cream is amazing! Not too sweet, you can taste hints of vanilla beans, smooth texture. Perfect compliment to the milk chocolate chip cookie. The blueberry cheesecake cookie is also to die for!! So GOOD!!!

Today I tried out the Brookie and the Cookies N Creme which were equally delicious. The service was extremely quick and friendly as the line began to form outside. My only wish - PLEASE make the annual black and white cookie a more frequent menu item!!

The reason why I'm not giving a five star rating is because we basically had to guess what the cookies were and what was in them because there weren't any signs explaining that.
Chip NYC cookies are XL goodies! They don't have all their shareable specialities on a daily basis as it seems they focus on four varieties on any given day. Most of the time there is a chocolate chip, whether milk or white chocolate, which suits me just fine. Time it right and when they come straight out of the oven hot and chewy, they are really awesome! Pro tip: Don't forget the milk to wash it down else you'll be thirsty. Parking can be hit or miss but there is a municipal parking lot nearby.
I'm really glad that Chip is still open for takeout with the current situation of things. I came here to grab some cookies and was super excited to try to Key Lime Pie seasonal flavor- and yes, it lived up to the standards I held it too. It has the key lime pie filling in the middle with white chocolate chips and I believe also crumbled graham crackers but not sure on that. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and although I would've liked the key lime pie filling to be little bit more tart, I would still get it again. I also got the chocolate peanut butter (one of my all time favorites) and the chocolate chip. For some reason the classic chocolate chip wasn't as good as I had remembered it to be (I mean it was still amazing don't get me wrong) but it was a little too cake-y. Basically, I would go to Levain's for the OG flavors and Chip for the fun flavors. On a sidenote, shout out to the staff for being super accommodating with my annoying package some individually requests and whatnot. I will definitely return to try some more fun/seasonal flavors.
Parked at the municipal parking lot and my girls were so happy there was a chip city. The vibe was nice and the place clean, we got cookies and cream and s'mores. Didn't realize I had earned a FREE one. my lick day today lol read more

I've used Too Good To Go many times, so I know to expect surplus -- not perfection. But this wasn't "imperfect." It was straight-up failed cookie dough -- underbaked, collapsed, and basically a sticky mess that looked closer to compost than food. Even worse, there were multiple bags ready, and this was the one they chose to give me. That says a lot. A late-night spot where I could grab a chocolate chip cookie and coffee. This spot, like its counterpart off 30th Ave, is very small, with hardly any seating. I literally was in and out within a few minutes of buying my cookies. Well worth a quick stop if you are inside the area! read more

As always, Chip delivers on your cookie craving. It was late Sunday night before closing when a few of us came into the store and enjoyed the last few cookies of the day. The peanut butter was THE BEST and it is so great that there is oat-milk as an option to wash down the delicious chunky cookie. I have had the chocolate chip and confetti one at this location and others, always reliable. On the way back from a trip, I drove past Astoria and had the munchies for some freshly baked cookies from Chip NYC. Although this little gem is hidden on a side street in Astoria, it can be easily spotted due to the lines out the door. This shop is small. Walking in, you see the counter with the 4 cookie flavors of the day. Behind that is the actual open kitchen where the cookies are baked. We were lucky to get cookies fresh out of the oven... crunchy on the outside, but soft and moist on the inside. Ambience/ decor: minimalist hole in the wall bakery. Food: one of my go tos for freshly bAked cookies. TLDR: take a trip to Astoria for these fresh cookies, but take it to go, as seating is limited to 3 stools. read more
I first discovered Chip NYC after seeing it float across my Yelp feed. Being a fan of cookies (and most other desserts), I decided to bookmark it to try whenever I found myself in Astoria. That time came the other night, so I decided to head over to Chip after finishing dinner nearby. There are actually a number of Chip locations - two of them being in Astoria. Judging from pictures this seems to emulate the same types of cookies seen in bakeries like Levain - big, warm, slightly crispy and nice and gooey on the inside. I was closest to the 33rd Street location so I made my way towards there. The bakery has a simple setup - walking in there's a small standing area to take orders and a few stools facing the outside window to sit and eat. It smelled amazing - I really could have just stood there and sniffed my heart out for a good while. I wanted to bring the cookies home, and looking at their menu I saw they had a special price for purchasing five cookies. Since they only had five flavors available at the time it worked out perfectly. The flavors I picked up were chocolate chip, cookies and cream, matcha ruby, salted Nutella, and Funfetti. I was informed that when you buy five cookies you get a sixth free - so I picked up a second chocolate chip. I decided to sample each type and have to say they were all great - big, warm, and full of flavor. My favorites were the chocolate chip and salted Nutella, though that Funfetti was pretty nostalgic and fun. Was it better than Levain? Ehhh I'm not convinced, but it's pretty damn close. Overall, Chip NYC is a winner - they properly execute the big cookie variety (I've been to places that fail), and they have a number of flavors to choose from. This is not everyday food for me, but for a special treat it's definitely worth it. read more
Ive never had a better cookie. It's that simple. This place is amazing and every cookie I've tried has been "oh my god" good. The cookies are huge, I can't finish a whole one in one go (but to be honest we usually get a few and try a piece of each one). Perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The best is when they're warm. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They post a menu weekly and only serve 4 different types of cookies fresh daily. My whole family loves these cookies. read more
There was a limited edition cinnamon roll cookie. The line started at 10:45pm. Wow I swear these cookies are delicious. The line was worth the wait. $4 a cookie is worth it. The inside of this spot is small. Its not a place to stay, more like a grab and go. The location is very very clean. The lady helping me was extremly nice. The customers were poliet too. Everyone would go in by twos whenever a group of four would come out. Experience: Service here was excellent! The lady who gave us our cookies was super friendly. When we drove past, this store was busy, but by the time we had lunch and came around, there was no line. There are always foodies coming around to take pics with their cookies here. I've been wanting to try Chip NYC ever since I saw it on the foodbabyny account. I tried the triple chocolate, chocolate chip, and blueberry cheesecake. I brought them home and toasted them and had them with milk. The cookies are so yummy even the next day. The way they melt and fall apart are perfect. Love the recipes they have and hope it never changes! I got the buy 5 get one free deal. They also sell tins here and oven mitts with their logo. The storefront isn't huge, but its very clean and the cookie display lamps keep the cookies warm. There are 4 trays in the window of 4 different flavors. New, fresh cookies come out frequently. They only had 4 selections of cookies (chocolate chip, double chocolate, confetti, lucky charms). The chocolate chip cookie was soft and warm. It didn't taste too milky or too sweet. It's not really a dine in place, it's more like a grab and go. I would come back and try the other flavors as well. I love the smell of fresh warm cookies and these cookies definitely made my car smell like a baker's oven. There is a municipal parking lot next to this Chip location but you can pull your car in the front to grab your cookies and go. My mission to get in and out with a box of cookies took less than five minutes. It would've been faster but I had to decide amongst White Chocolate Macadamia, S'mores, Chocolate Chip, and Oatmeal Apple Pie. They have four choices of cookies to choose from in rotation. The deal is $4 each, buy five get one free, and save on taxes if you pay in cash. read more

I think I've now been to every Chip except the Manhattan one. Each location is pretty small, with little to no seating space except for the LIC/Queensboro Plaza one. Everyday the flavors change, and the menu can be found on their Instagram or their website. The people who work here are always friendly and happy to serve you! read more
These cookies are ginormous and delicious! They have a ton of flavors to try from and clearly have a great business marketer working for them since they offer different flavors on a rotating basis. You have to check their website to see which 5-6 cookies they are offering each day. Usually chocolate chip is available all the time since it's the most popular. All their cookies come in a brown take out box with their Chip logo sticker. A quick rundown of the flavors I've tried from best to worst: Chocolate chip- standard, devious, lots of chocolate chunks Blueberry Cheesecake- sweet sugar cookie with a cheesecake filling but didn't really taste the cream cheese, it's the thinnest cookie out of the bunch, blueberries complement the white chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate- not a big fan of peanut butter but this cookie changed my mind! The peanut butter chips are very subtle and not too rich. The dark chocolate cookie is amazing! Cookies N' Cream- very crumbly cookie and a little sweet, it's got huge chunks of oreos inside. It tastes exactly like what you would expect it to. Strawberry Shortcake- DISGUSTING. It looks the most aesthetically pleasing but it has this horrible sour fake strawberry cookie inside and a god awful icing to match. I think it was a limited edition cookie so phew read more
