This review is purely biased based by my nostalgic love of Pinkberry. At the beginning of the Froyo craze, I used to get the original tart at a local Pinkberry at least once a week. After the hype faded out in the 2010s, I thought I'd never see another Pinkberry again. Imagine my surprise when I saw this place across the street from where I was dining with a couple of friends. It was inevitable that I'd make a beeline for it right after my dinner. As usual, I got the original tart with my favorite mix-ins: a scoop of melted chocolate crunch, cheesecake bites, mochi, strawberry, kiwi, and blueberries. The froyo wasn't as creamy as what I was used to, but it was still really good and satisfying to my craving. Similar to most Pinkberries, the shop itself was a bit small in space, so it's more fitting for a quick visit. Too bad I don't live in NYC, otherwise I'd definitely hit up this spot (and the other Pinkberry shops) a lot more often! read more

I've tried every other ice cream spot on the block (Anita Gelato and 16 Handles), so naturally I had to give pinkberry a try. I ordered the dairy-free coconut, which is the only vegan flavor they offer. It tasted pretty good and had a nice creamy texture. I do find it to be expensive and I don't like how they serve it for you. You have the option to get with or without toppings for a standard price, but you're only limited to 4 toppings, and any additional topping is an upcharge. They put the toppings for you with a tiny scoop, so the price difference didn't seem worthwhile in my opinion. There was a line and multiple DoorDash orders going out, so the service was a bit slow, but not a crazy wait time. The shop was pretty small, but has the same frozen yogurt look as other places, with limited seating. Given that there is another frozen yogurt shop legit 2 stores away, I just wanted to provide a comparison. 16 Handles has more vegan options, but tastes more like soft serve ice cream compared to yogurt. It's cheaper, you can control the toppings to ice cream ratio, but it seems like there are usually kids/students around. Pinkberry only has 1 vegan option, tastes more like yogurt, but they're sparse with the toppings and it's more expensive. However, there wasn't any many kids, I assume due to the counter service rather than serving yourself the yogurt. They both provided similar experiences in terms of customer service. Both frozen yogurt shops, though entirely different experiences. I would return here if I wanted more of a yogurt flavor, but wouldn't bother with the toppings. This place, like 16 Handles, is not Ike neighboring upscale ice cream shops in UES. It's cozy, a 2010 yogurt shop vibe, and is solid for casual ice cream. I would return! read more

Years ago I tried Pinkberry, and the flavor was sour and bitter, so I never returned again until over the past month when I've been ordering their froyo as a weekly treat. Much better than it was long ago and loving my weekly Pinkberry froyo fix. My go to has become side by side swirl: salted butter caramel and chocolate hazelnut swirl with the following toppings: strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, strawberry bursting boba, baked almonds, candied pecans. The chocolate crunch is also good. I have the froyo picked up or delivered, and have not been in the store. DoorDash has been the better delivery choice over seamless. I order a large and save the rest for another day. I like how they put the toppings in small containers on the side so I can add as much or as little as I like. read more

I've been coming here for years now and there has been little to no change in the decor and customer service. The decor is simple, and relaxing. The air conditioner is set to the perfect temperature during the summer time so that you don't freeze to death while enjoying your froyo. The customer service is still as fantastic as ever! They let you sample what you want without rushing you or staring at you awkwardly. Conversation with the staff is always easy, light and positive. The vibe in the store plus the personalities of the staff always puts me in a merry mood (Plus the deliciousness of the froyo ofc). Don't think I could ever switch to any other froyo place because everything here is just so much more simple and easy to understand. This place gets really crowded in the summertime or when it warms up. You see a line that is out the door and down the street. I guess it's reasonable since it's the only pinkberry in the vicinity. Their original flavor is a bit tart but I feel that it works well with the fresh fruit compared to Red Mango. I am not a fan of the Green Tea nor the Coffee. Last night, I tried the Mango. It was amazing. It didn't taste tart and it was very sweet. It's def my favorite frozen yogurt. The beauty of this location is that I came here 5 minutes after 11 last night. Although they were closed, we asked them nicely if they can sell us a cup. They happily obliged. We tried a sample of the mango, loved it and decided to get a medium cup with strawberries and mochi. I'm sure it was very soon after they opened. I was immediately greeted by the man behind the counter. He was neat and clean. Although he never smiled he answered my questions about the non dairy soft serve. I asked for a taste of Coconut Milk the only non dairy flavor. I'm a fan of Coconut so I had no issues with this flavor. It was delicious. Here's my reason for three stars. After walking two miles I needed to use a bathroom. While I was contemplating my purchase two other customers that were together came in. I enjoyed watching them order. I let them go first. I know a small is over $5.00 and each topping additional. They each had at least three toppings. By the time they ordered it cost enough that I would be able to pay for a delicious brunch meal. I'm sticking with my original complaint of it being overpriced for the amount. Plus a half block away I can get soft serve and pay by the ounce AND use a bathroom. 4.5, it's pure. I've been to the one in Ktown in LA. It was great. The line was out the door. It's exactly the same in NY, but minus the line. Pinkberry is real yogurt, hence the name frozen yogurt. If you're looking for "soft serve" or "ice cream" you should go to "sizzler" or "rite aid." It's what real yogurt tastes like, not the over fructose corn syruped crap that we're used to. How how how did I let myself get into this craze?? Last week I spent $6.95..REREAD THAT...$6.95 for a SMALL cup of plain frozen yogurt with strawberries, bananas and granola. Though the cashier was quickly taking care of the ordering/paying at the register, only one poor girl was actually making the orders by herself, and she was not doing it fast enough. We were all pushing into the small quarters waiting (impatiently) for our yogurt. Because of the rush and the slow pace of the yogurt machine, I think she totally gypped me on the portion size...making the almost $7 price even more infuriating. Anyway, even though I was originally turned off by Pink Berryafter my first visit -because it actually does taste like real yogurt -it is this tart yet sweet taste, mixed with fresh fruit and granola, that I developed a taste for and now crave. I guess that's why they call it Crack Berry. Just a reminder: this is still more expensive than Tasti AND it's more calories than the big D. Also, there are only two flavors to choose from, as opposed to the six or four at Tasti... I'm just saying.
