This place is such an amazing venue and I have yet to witness any terrible performances here. The farthest away I've seated from the stage has been in the Mezzanine and you still get a great view of the stage. The acoustics are well done, so the sound has been great! If you are going to watch any performance in Fort Worth, this is venue to go to. There is plenty to do in the area and lots of free parking. I recommend parking at the garage on Taylor and 3rd, grabbing sushi at Piranha before a later show (7pm/8pm) and taking a nice walk through Sundance Square to the Bass to get the full downtown Fort Worth effect. I grew up in Fort Worth, and the downtown area has changed so much (for the better!!) in recent years. The attendants who take your tickets are really sweet and all make sure to tell you how to get to the balcony so you can have full view of the angels that adorn the architecture of the Bass Performance Hall. It's a neat thing to do, especially if you have kids, at least on one of your visits. read more

I had the amazing experience of celebrating a swinging NYE here with Fort Worth's best musicians. We went all out and gussied up since we had our own box seats which comes with it's own coat room where you could order drinks from as well. The hall itself is ornate and elegant. It's beautifully done in art deco and the staff is wonderful at keeping it pristine. I love that it's such a classy place without being pretentious. It's wonderfully situated in dt Fort Worth which I love for it's affordable dining options before and after the show. :) They also have amazing pricing for students who wants to have the experience without breaking the bank! read more

I adore this venue! I have gone to some wonderful concerts at Bass Hall in years past. One year I even saw Eric Benet and Boyz II Men! Now that was a soulful groovy performance. Talk about classy! What I love the most is the quality of sound. It's also a very beautiful theater. Great for a date night. Also so many restaurants in the area to catch a bite to eat before or after. (Dracula) The building is just simply gorgeous, the acoustics are wonderful, and I love Fort Worth, so all in all an incredible combination. Enjoyed the FW Symphony performing Dvorak this afternoon and was once again amazed at what a nice venue this is. Pros: - friendly people - comfortable seats - great sound - beautiful architecture - EASY access - shockingly fast to get in and out... right off the Hwy, park at 1:45, in our seats at 1:52.... out at 4, on the Hwy at 4:10 - just awesome! Cons: It is in FW... wish it was closer! The FW Symphony was on fire today... every piece brought down the house with whistles and "bravos"... and performed in a great hall. I consider myself the biggest cheerleader of Fort Worth and the Bass Hall is one of my favorite places to recommend. It's always on my list of top must see places that I tell out of towners and those that are showing people around town. I grew up loving the Bass Hall, constantly attending performances since I can remember and still watching The Nutcracker annually. The performances are beautifully done and I've never left without a sense of amazement. The architecture and design is phenomenal. See it during the day but if you can see a bit later show in the afternoon and can leave when the sun goes down I highly recommend that so you can see the angels outside lit up in all their glory. The angels have golden horns that you can't miss. Make sure that when you're watching a performance to look directly up to the ceiling where you see a beautiful art. The staff is very polite and the bartenders make a mean drink. I love everything about the Bass Hall and yes ladies you can have your wedding here! read more

I've always enjoyed Bass Hall. Some performances I've attended include the symphony, Miss Saigon, Dionne Warwick, The Nutcracker, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, and A Night of Queen. Always a great time. My only concern is that sometimes the seats can have obstructed views and the bathrooms are located too far down. The architecture is gorgeous! Parking is easy too. Amazing place! This is one of the most beautiful concert halls I have ever been to in the US. Not only is it large but the decor gives a feeling of being in one of the grand opera houses in Europe. There are stairs everywhere to get to your seat but the very kind ushers will tell you where the hidden elevators are to make your passage to your seat easier. Every since I saw the huge angels on the outside of the the building, 7 years ago, I have been wanting to come to a concert or opera to see the inside. Beautiful, just beautiful! The acoustics were good, but then my seat was 13 rows from the stage. read more

I thinks the best suited shows were the opera and rock band but if you ever have the opportunity to attend an event here, it's definitely worth the trip. read more

Saw the Greater Tuna play there at Bass a couple of years back, have to say we had great seats. Box seats dead center of the stage. My ex had gotten the tickets after I mentioned to her that I had been in Texas for 20+years and have never seen it. The acoustics were awesome! The whole experience was great. Would do it again for sure. Don't know if I were to let kids see Greater Tuna unless you explained some things to them first. read more

The level of any performance is enhanced by Bass Hall, the sound environment is amazing, almost anyplace you sit gives you a perfect sound perspective. Pay attention to their events calendar religiously because they have some of the most unexpected performances just show up. It's a beautiful building/venue for a show and/or performance. There is an outdoor balcony area that although is small and narrow - it's nice that there's that option. I don't know of very many performance halls that have a balcony. The bar service is really quick, and you can even bring your drink in the theater, in a to-go cup that they offer. Ive been multiple times always have a wonderful time. My family always goes during the holidays . Last year i left my wallet with my phone credit cards cash etc... when i realized I had left it behind the building was already closed. I could see people inside but they couldn't see me.. a very nice and sweet lady happened to see me. She came to my rescue and can u believe it my wallet was still where i left it. This is one of my favorite performance halls in the DFW metroplex. Plenty of places around the venue to grab dinner before a show and the venue itself is clean and beautiful. I've been here a number of times and it doesn't seem to have a bad seat in the house. I've sat in the orchestra for The Nutcracker Ballet and Carmen, and in the balcony for Phantom of the opera, regardless of where I sit, it's a great view and a fantastic time! Love this place. Not too big and they have a great variety of shows. Tickets can be quite expensive depending on where you sit, but a nice experience. I've seen several shows here and they were all great. The boxes were nice. They started allowing you to bring drinks into the hall, but you have to buy a special cup. It'd be nice if they added more bathrooms somewhere, you always wait awhile to use them at intermission. The building from the outside is gorgeous. read more

Very frustrated with Bass Hall as I write this review. Me and my family are here to attend the middle school choir camp concert. I was turned away at security for my pocket knife. A very legal to carry in the state of Texas pocket knife. Could they be any more ridiculous with the security measures?!?!? Now I have to get my vehicle from the valet to put the knife in our car! This theater is stunning! I've seen everything here from the ballet, to Blue Man Group, Drumline the musical, Beautiful the musical, a Jim Brickman concert, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, etc. I've never had a bad seat, and the shows have all been spectacular. It's always fun to arrive early and grab a cocktail to enjoy on the balcony with the iconic trumpet playing angels. The theater is located in a great area where you can enjoy some great restaurants within walking distance. Bass Hall is a definitely an asset to the City of Fort Worth! read more

Video Games Live. If that didn't catch your attention, you're obviously not the nerd for me, move on! That being said... Bass Performance Hall was spectacular! For those of you that are unaware of what Video Games Live *is* allow me to explain. They took the Ft. Worth Symphony Orchestra and took music from video games [(such as: Final Fantasy (every FF that you can imagine), Halo, Warcraft, Starcraft (Starcraft II, you can imagine the excitement!), Metroid, Mario Bros., Punch Out!, Frogger, Asteroids, Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, and lastly, but not leastly - Castlevania)], mixed them together and came up with beautiful, beautiful noise. Now, of course there was much more than those titles, but I honestly can't remember them at this time. Anyway, enough about VGL, onto BPH! Bass Performance Hall is a beautiful building with outstanding acoustics. I truly enjoyed the entire experience, even my nice, comfy chair! My friend and I were seated in the box tier and the view of the stage was excellent. It is, of course, impeccably clean and despite all the silly, geeky gamers that took over this place for one night - it remained calm and clean; however... there was much geek speak to be heard for all! I can't compare Bass Performance Hall to much of anything except perhaps the Sight & Sound Theatre in Branson, MO - somehow that doesn't even seem to be a great comparison. Bass Performance Hall is a place to see and to be seen... UNLESS you're attending Video Games Live - if you dress appropriately you will feel grossly overdressed, but I suppose that is better than underdressed, no? Part of me wished I had worn jeans and a geeky gamer t-shirt; however, I feel I would have done the theatre an injustice had I not tried to look my best, so I won't complain about my overdress-ed-ness. I will definitely be checking for interesting shows in the future and look forward to going back, as a matter of fact I'm excited just thinking about returning! I was harassed by the elderly door staff because my purse was less than a quarter inch "too wide" when she pulled the gussets out. I have brought the same bag to this theatre this year without incident. I had to walk a half block (after recent knee surgery) to leave my purse with security & give a trashy sack for my belongings. When I walked back, I saw three ladies with larger purses walking right through. I spent $300 for ballet tickets and was treated like a criminal. I asked to speak with management and got nowhere. My day was ruined and I will never be back. read more

Was one of my favorite performance halls in DFW until last night. It was extremely hot inside throughout the show. Many audience individuals were fanning themselves throughout the event with the booklets we were given. It became increasingly uncomfortable and it was obvious many were anxious to leave by the end of the performance. I have had many great experiences at bass hall, from symphonies, opera, to avenue q & the late great George Carlin. So I was so happy to take my daughter to bass hall for the first time. Though I let someone else pick our seats because we went with a group ... And based on SEATING ISSUES today My heart is broken because she never wants to go back. Bass hall; you got upstaged by other theaters. My daughter and I had a wonderful view ... of a pilar. A stinking Pilar. My daughter had a hard time seeing because she adjusted her seat so the girl beside her could see & she couldn't see half of the performance. A kind gentleman allowed her to sit in his seat for part of the performance; which during that time I got to see the magic light up in her eyes of what she had been missing ... but She doesn't ever want to go back. I actually only saw maybe 5 full mins before I gave up on seeing anything but the back/side stage stuff. My heart is broken ... If you have the choice of only the mezzanine area's on the side do not take the tickets. You will be able to see more on ground level if your 5'3'' with a 6'3'' person in front of you because you would at least be able to tilt your head. read more

So, I have nothing bad to say about the Bass Hall but that it's in Fort Worth. ZING! But seriously, we payed around $40ish to see Louis CK here and it was well worth it. Our seats weren't great but we weren't able to see the fire sprinklers on the ceiling either. The acoustics were great, Louis was clearly visible, and the place is freaking gorgeous. Marbled steps and floor, crystal chandeliers- sorry, Winspear! Parking was free as well. I guess downtown Ft. Worth also has a little more accessibility to post and pre show things. The Flying Saucer across the street was teeming with 20-somethings who were all here to see Louis CK. We were still able to walk to other places and HAD OPTIONS and no scary homeless people trying to get us. I'd make the trek to FW to see another show there, fo sho. read more

Just came here for the first time to see Shen Yun. First off, I LOVE that downtown Fort Worth has free parking after 5pm, so stars for being located in a place where parking fees aren't a thing. The staff was professional and courteous, so I have nothing but nice things to say about them. The performance hall is lovely and the seats were soft and comfy. My only complaint is it was freezing in there and I had to keep my coat on the entire time, but that's pretty typical for performance halls. We had a great experience at Bass and hope to return soon! read more

Lovely place. I recently went for a Christmas concert. The building is pretty new and well kept. The people were very friendly. You can get a pretty good view in a cheap seat. Minus 1 star for no dress code...I know times change and people like to be comfortable, but I still don't think blue jeans should be worn to the symphony. Call me a snob.... read more
