    I love that this place isn't as long as a wait for Santa pictures with your family. My husband and I went with our 5 kids and the pictures turned out super cute.

    Was at the Starbucks across the street and decided to stop by Bass Pro to show someone from out of town, how pretty it is inside. As soon as you enter there's a large fireplace with cozy seats. This place is very aesthetic with waterfalls, stuffed bears, and live fish swimming. I love the tall ceilings, there's even a bridge that connects one side of the upper level to the other. Makes me feel like I'm in a cabin in the woods. I'd like to add, this business is veteran friendly. They sell items that benefit veterans. They even have reserved parking spaces for them. We made a small purchase and went on our way. If Uncle bucks fishbowl and bowling area was open, we would have explored how pretty that is too. Next time.

    Ample parking, with areas for oversized vehicles. Which is a godsend, for everybody. The store has just about everything an outdoors person could want. With displays. Somethings need to be felt or examined before making a choice. Floor sales staff are helpful. Granted some departments have more knowledgeable people than others. The Men's & Women's Clothing has an exceptional size range and styles. There are motorized shopping carts, if needed. Their Capital One credit card accumulates points that don't expire.

    From November 5th through Christmas Eve, all Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's locations are hosting "Santa's Wonderland". My family and I recently visited Santa's Wonderland at the Bridgeport location of Bass Pro Shops. We went for the first time last year and it was such a happy, stress-free experience that we decided to make it an annual family tradition. You no longer have to wait in long lines for overpriced photos and lackluster Santas. At Bass Pro Shops, customers can easily schedule an appointment online. You then show up at your scheduled time and immediately get a friendly visit with Santa and a free 4x6 photo documenting the visit. From there, you have the option of paying for additional photo packages. My family's recent visit to Santa's Wonderland was such a pleasant experience. We walked right in at our scheduled appointment time; no waiting at all. Although we are Jewish, we celebrate a secular Christmas in addition to Chanukah. (We happily display a Christmas tree in our house next to our menorah.) Santa Claus was just lovely and looked like he just arrived straight from the North Pole. My sons felt so comfortable around him and he treated them to some candy canes. He then wished us a 'Merry Christmas' AND a 'Happy Chanukah'. Our picture came out great and we decided to pay a little extra to have the digital version e-mailed to us. We will use it for our annual 'Chrismukkah' card!

    I cannot believe I have not stopped in here before! Humongous store, decorated with taxidermied wild animals and birds throughout in their natural settings-really something special and very tastefully and creatively displayed. While this store contains hunting, fishing, camping, boating gear equipment and clothing for any imaginable outdoor activity, it really has so much more! They have boots, slippers, clothes and all most reasonably priced and I was able to pick up some decent priced well quality items for myself. Fun to just look around! Old time candies, hot sauce, gift items. Plenty of parking, massive selection, great customer service. I would definitely recommend a visit.

    This will unfortunately be my last visit to bass pro.. upon checking an item I wanted to purchase, showing it as "in stock", I set off to the store. It is a 45minute trip for me. Upon getting there I was told that they haven't stocked the item I wanted to purchase for a long time due to local restrictions. I spoke to the manager who offered no apologies, suggesting I order the item and come back to pick it up. I asked why the "in stock" information was not corrected on the website, and never did get an answer... thank you bass pro for a wasted day!

    Very kind and helpful staff. The store was immaculate. They are very attentive, it's very well organized and everything is easily obtainable. Long drive for us, but it was a worth the trip. We spent far too much money, but I have no regrets.

    This Bass Pro Shop is off the 95, easy to spot and plenty of parking. My husband, our little girl dog (yes Bass Pro Shops are dog friendly) and I decided to make a stop here to use the restroom and also browse for a bit on Halloween evening. At the back of the store, right in front of the large aquarium tank, I was surprised to see a cute Halloween backdrop for children (and adults) to take photos in front of (but Bass Pro Shop always seems to do things around holidays for families). I just coincidently had my dog's panda hoodie in my purse (we went to a dog costume party earlier... and yes, I am one of those dog owners) and so I decided to put it on her and make use of the background. Anyways, as we browsed through the store, we had several friendly employees greet us and ask if we needed help with anything (I think they noticed our little girl first, which probably put them in a happy mood). I ended up purchasing a bag of hand warmers because the weather is just too cold for this native Southern California resident. The employee at the register was quick to ring up on item and then we were on our way. Service was friendly during our experience and the restrooms (which are right by the entrance of the store) were clean and adequately stocked with the essentials. For some reason, I really enjoy going to Bass Pro Shop, even when I am on vacation. I like to see how the store is laid out and decorated (each one is just slightly different). It is always fun to browse all the items in the store and always a bonus that I can bring my little girl with me when I shop.

    Nice sporting store , huge and with lots of selections , however the lady at the front door was the most ANNOYING thing ever , she kept on trying to sell us all kinds of things ..

    I love this place! It's expensive, but the quality and customer service sets a new standard. From grills and camping equipment, to clothing for any sport or hobby, or just fashion. I like their clothing and shoes. Perfect for active people. My favorite purchase from Bass Pro is a monocular that I use for bird watching that allows me to mount my phone and take great photos and videos of wildlife.

    The manager in the store is crooked…read more I recently bought 1/4 inch close body turnbuckles. Someone had stolen two off my boat. It turned out this size was too small. I returned to the store to get a refund, dropping them off in the front and walking to the back to see if they had the next size up. They did not. So I decided to order these and 5/16 of an inch--2 of them. Leaving the store and sitting in my car I stopped and paused a moment to check my receipt. I did not know what the cost was. I was stunned to see the receipt only covered the return of the quarter inch turned buckles and did not have the amount billed for the 5/16 turnbuckles. I returned inside and asked for a copy the purchase receipt and got a mumbo-jumbo, tap dance, and the manager refused to give me a receipt. Based on the behavior of the manager and his sketchy attitude I decided to cancel the order. I returned to the store told the manager I wanted to cancel the order. He gave me some bull story that one was shipped already which was impossible. This all occurred within 10 minutes. Next he told me he would need five minutes to take care of it and told me to wait outside. I thought that was very rude. I decided to go to the back of the store and buy some rope which I did and when I returned to the front desk I was again told I couldn't have a receipt for both the order and canceled order. A few days later, I saw the refund for the original purchase that I returned and then a charge for the new purchase but no refund. Since I didn't have a receipt I immediately filed a dispute with my bank. Since then I got a bunch of mumbo-jumbo about a restocking charge and shipping. What the heck? There was no shipping! There was no restocking. I canceled within 10 minutes. All because the manager refused to give me receipts. West Marines position is my $89 refund for the 1/4 turnbuckles was the refund for the 5/16 turnbuckles less shipping and restocking charges. It would be immediately apparent to anyone senior in the company, that the amounts support my case, not this bogus tap dancing invented story of the manager. And 30 years using this store. I have never been denied receipts for any purchase or return. This is a standard operating procedure for this company. The manager used this as justification to charge me for restocking on items that were never shipped and shipping for items that were never shipped. This manager needs to be fired. He has no integrity. Either that or he is being ordered by his superiors to screw people over this way. I suppose it's possible that he's under so much pressure to turn a profit that he undertakes despicable and reprehensible behavior. Worse of all I have been trying to contact the West Marine Corporate office and they do not allow an outsider to speak to a human being. I later found that my initial charge was processed after the return was credited. Not sure why. This all could have been avoid if I was given a receipt for my second purchase and a receipt for its return. I was entitled to both.
