Let's get down to business. I really like the aesthetics of this bathroom. It's got high vaulted ceiling, its got a very cabin-esc vibe to it. The doors are made of inauthentic wood based derivative material. Very dreary in most parts, low lighting. Very old fashioned. Now the important stuff, the door crack size is unusually large. The stall to floor height is standard for your American based bathroom designs. The only reason i can think that this is for is so you see if someone is in there. i just want to say thanks to Bass Pro shop in Pearland. We were in the middle of Lake Houston on Sunday and our boat key broke in half. We called Bass Pro for suggestions. They ask us what boat we had and did we buy it from them. I told them I bought it from them. They asked where I was. I told them the middle of Lake Houston and they said they would hook up a boat and bring me a key. I said I could troll to Lake Houston Marina and he said he would meet me there. Nice amount of clothing for men and women. Really good selection of sunglasses also. This visit, the fudge shop was closed due to Covid-19, which wasn't the purpose of my visit, but if that's your thing- now you know. Lots of boats, kayaks, and canoes. Clothing options for men are outdoorsy like real tree camo, Carhart, Columbia sportswear, flannels, fishing shorts, and shirts. Good selection of footwear and waders. The employees and representative their are not helpful and has no knowledge of their product and the club cards. I was there to sign up for a card for 0% apr for 12 months and all they told me was that I had to buy something over 500 dollars for the 0 interest to go into effect. What they didn't tell me was it started may 12- April 1st. And now I've spent 2 days, many hours trying to get the promotion. It is not worth shopping here and upset that their employees has no knowledge on anything, at all. Will be doing my shopping at academy sports and outdoors from now on, lower prices and has way better staff in their departments. Please stay away from this over priced and horrible place. read more

I have been to bass pro shops from coast to coast this was my first truly negative experience. The positives great location, store size, products and decorum. The negatives: Hour long waiting at gun counter holding the next number. They use a take a number system. I understand it can take sometime to do paper work for purchases etc but the system in place is inadequate. The part which made me walk out was the attitude of sales representative when a customer who took a number asked if they were using the system. This sales representative responded in such a harsh defensive manner several customers simply walked away. It was a simple question with a simple answer no reason to become defensive and raise your voice to a potential customer. Second issue was no sales representatives on the sales floor. The wife wanted to buy a set of sunglasses but we could find no sales reps anywhere. Overall worst experience at a bass pro shop I have ever had. I would have given higher stars but the sales reps attitude was just horrible. I attempted to locate a manger but when I made eye contact with one he ran off into the office. read more

If I could put zero stars for customer service, I would. We came here ready to spend quite a bit of money on some new salt water fishing gear. My first impression of the store was positive. I loved all the mounts, the huge fish tank, and what seemed like a massive selection of hunting and fishing items. What outdoors person would not be in heaven in a place like this?? Well.. As soon as we walked into the fishing section, we noticed two employees talking and goofing off at the counter. We walked up to the counter to look at the reels, spent about 10 minutes up there, and not once did the employees--who were about 8ft away from us--ever say a word to us. Another employee appeared, who wreaked of smoke, barely smiled at us, and kept walking on past us. We walked every aisle in fishing looking at rods, lures, etc., for probably 30 minutes and never were approached by an employee. Funny how they helped others during this time but totally ignored us. Maybe it was our stellar good looks, or that we smelled bad from two days of moving down here, or we had on Under Armour instead of Nike,...who knows. But I do know that when I go into a competitor's store (Academy, Gander, etc.), I am bombarded with "Can I help you?'s" Not here! We went to other parts of the store, and it was the same treatment. It wasn't until we got to the camping area that we were finally greeted by a very friendly gentleman. This was probably an hour into our visit to BP, and we weren't even interested in camping gear, but at least one employee there got it right! Wish I could've bought a tent or something from the man, but we came to BP for fishing gear. Left the store empty handed and went to Academy a few miles south of BP. We were greeted and treated with great customer service, who went out of their way to help us find what we needed. Needless to say, we did NOT leave Academy empty handed and will be making the trip there instead of BP. read more

First time going into this store trying to find a gift for my father and when I went into the appeal section it seemed as the the Floor manger on the night shift, Pam I think (had to ask) was just so disrespectful to her staff just seemed to be barking orders left and right every corner I turned to be one employee. I'd never felt more disrespect for a staff member but obviously I couldn't talk to her seeing as she's in charger. Y'all need to fix that asap. read more

I declare this the best outdoor store in the Houston area. Hub and I drive all the way across the metro area to get here, honest. Why? Well, there is no Bass Pro Shop near us and this is such a nice store with nice people working in it. That's why. The name may be a bit misleading. This chain of stores is about much more than Bass fishing. They sell a huge amount of goodies that would interest an outdoor enthusiast. They also have candy and toys that make you smile and bring out the inner kid in everyone. They have a cool selection of clothing for outdoor activities or just chillin' and hanging out. I love the clothes I have gotten here. The imitation stream is neat and so is the aquarium with local freshwater fish specimens. I always enjoy them and the animals seem well cared for. The thing that sets this shop apart, in my mind, is the service. Everyone we have ever talked to has been professional, knowledgeable, and nice. I do not have a problem getting someone to come over and talk to me about anything. This is not the case in a that other store which rhymes with dander mountain. The selection of boats and motors is pretty cool too. We like that there are examples of different kinds of boats that you can climb into and imagine yourself yachting around in them. I totally dig the party barges. The selection of fishing equipment seems good, and reasonably priced. That is where I spend most of my time. I will not say that they are a cheap as Acadamy, but they are cheaper than other places. They also have a large section devoted to fly fishing, which is awesome. The fly selection alone is worth a look, even if that is not your cup of tea in terms of fishing. The artistry that goes into the flies is interesting and amazing. The archery and firearms section also is large and nice. I'll let others more fluent in those sports address those sections. I am not an expert. If you want to kill some time, see some fish, and find some sporting equipment, head on over. Get some candy, watch some fish and sit in a boat. It will do your heart good. read more

3 stars because the whole place is very cool. They've got anything you need and the set up is bad ass. The employee I worked with was very racist. When I told him what I was looking for something for my dad, the first question he asked was "Is your dad a U.S. Citizen?" Confused I said yes and he proceeded to walk me to the counter. I didn't know why that was important but I then moved on and started asking question about the different products. He knew nothing about the merchandise and didn't even make an effort to at least find out about it. Then he proceeds to say "All I know is the buyer must be a U.S. citizen and that you can't take the products outside of the United States." 1. I'm the buyer. So why did he ask if my dad was a US citizen? 2. If it was so important that the buyer be a US citizen, you'd think that they'd ask for an ID at check out or something... Very offended. I bought something there that was supposedly on sale for $17, so it was quite a surprise when I found the exact same product at another store the same day selling for $9 at regular price. I went back to Bass Pro to return the item. I was told that on this particular item, there was no returns or exchanges. The woman at the service desk was being incredibly rude, and claimed that there were signs posted indicating that all sales are final. I asked to see these signs. We searched for 10 minutes and found no such signs in the 2 aisles where these items were stocked. Finally, a stock boy found a single sign about half the size of a sheet of paper, hidden clear on the other side of the department around unrelated items. Bass Pro refused to refund my money and they refused to price match. Having a fake clearance sale is bad enough, but the way they refused to remedy the situation guaranteed that I would never buy from this branch again. Stay away from this one. read more

Bass Pro Shop in Pearland, Texas My Dad wrote this and I'm posting it online for him. My purpose for being in your store was to purchase rifle shells that are hard to secure. You had four men behind the gun counter laughing and visiting who totally ignored me because it appeared to have been their visitation time. Having found the rifle shells, I proceeded to the cashier area. There were two young ladies with another lady at a stand up desk that I now know is the Cashier Supervisor. There were several customers waiting to be checked out and the clueless cashier was having difficulty with a transaction. The cashier requested assistance and the Cashier Supervisor had a "don't bother me attitude" regarding providing assistance. Attempting to checkout in your store is like driving in Houston rush hour traffic on a Monday. I put the box of rifle shells on the Cashier Supervisors' stand up desk and left, vowing to never return. I spoke with Manager Steve on 12-04-2017 at 4:50pm regarding the four men at the gun counter that were choosing to obnoxiously socialize instead of help a customer, the cashier that didn't know how to perform her job, and the Cashier Supervisor that chose to have a bad attitude when asked to do her job and didn't want to help customers get checked out. Manager Steve couldn't care less about this situation and the fact that he's lost a long time customer that has spent a lot of money in his store. I was asked at least 7 times if I wanted to sign up for the "Club Card". Which most do not tell you is a credit card. Not one person asked me if I needed help with ANYTHING in the store. Superb experience! I've lived in Pearland and the area for 5 years now (but grew up in the Houston area). This weekend was my first jaunt into Bass Pro!! First of all, I'm not a big outdoorsy type girl, and my idea of sports is shopping at the outlets. LOL However, I was in the market for a self-defense firearm and my husband and I happened to go in to look at their selection. The store itself is impressive, in both size and content. They have a man-made lake outside (for testing boats and the like) and and a waterfall and fish tank inside! If you are in the market for anything outdoors-related or anything remotely sporty, this is your place! The first time we went in was on Saturday. The firearms department was buzzing with activity. With the recent rise in Second Amendment controversy, it was no surprise that they were busy. Their selection of firearms was fairly extensive and impressive. It was a bit intimidating at first, but only because it was my first time in. However, I had an idea of what I wanted so I was able to zoom in on just those ones. The young men behind the counter helping us seemed familiar with the firearms and were eager to help. I was able to handle a few pistols in my zone of familiarity and when I wasn't sure about them, the young man that was helping us suggested I look at a particular one. It actually had everything I was looking for and quickly moved to the top of my list. I didn't want to buy it right away, so we put it back and decided to look at another store. After looking at Academy (their selection was not nearly as good or impressive), we went back the next day on a Sunday (today). Again, they were buzzing with activity (men, women and children were there) but we were able to get the firearms we wanted. Terry helped us and was extremely patient and knowledgeable. He led us through all steps of the buying process (my first!) and suggested we open a Bass Pro credit line to save 10%. He didn't make me feel inferior nor did he treat me any differently because I am a woman. (When I asked to see a pistol at Academy they automatically assumed I wanted to see the PINK one. I responded, "I don't believe guns should be pink.") When Terry asked if I knew anything about the gun, I told him "If it's good for law enforcement, it's good enough for me." He seemed impressed that I had done my homework and narrowed it down to that one, based on my reading numerous reviews and watching videos. I was confident in my choice and he was more than happy to assist me. While I was doing my transaction, my husband saw a pistol in the case that he'd been wanting for a while (we didn't see it on Saturday), so he decided to pick that up too. When my husband asked Terry if they worked on commission, he said, "No, just for the love of it!" That's when I knew we had someone who cared. We both left extremely satisfied with our purchases and would definitely go back! Now we just have to find ammo.... That's a whole other story completely. :) read more

Waited at the gun counter for close to thirty minutes yesterday evening. It was about 6:00 PM and the store was not busy. Myself and three other customers had taken numbers after having stood there for ten minutes or so with no acknowledgement from the employee behind the counter. Seeing only one employee at the time, already helping another customer - I understood the wait and didn't mind too much. However, a second employee showed up after we waited some twenty minutes and the employee that was already behind the counter told him to help someone else at the other end of the counter who had JUST WALKED UP and had not taken a number, rather than instructing him to help the next person in line. I'm hoping their customer service model does not carry over to Cabela's as I'll have to stop shopping at both. read more

Great atmosphere. Very helpful staff in the fishing section. The store is so amazing and overwhelming it almost has a theme park feel to it. I purchased gift cards for Father's day for my dad to shop in your store located at 1000 Bass Pro Drive Pearland, Texas 77584. Never have we been treated so rude by your store associate name Parker J. I never been embarrassed to the point that I truly wanted to return everyday he had in the cart and never return. One of the gift cards in the three pack of $75 was not working. Which we opened the pack in front of her. He also had an $100 gift card I purchased for him to scan on his phone. She made a big seem repeating saying loudly "I told you the gift card don't work you I don't know what you don't understand." At this point I was prepared to make the remaining purchase in cash and call the gift card company on Monday. She took the $50 Bill and marked it with the money pen. I guess the pen verification was not good enough that she continue to left it up in the light over and over as though I was giving her fake money. I guess the location does not get a lot of black customers but we were completely embarrassed. I will never recommend this location let alone your stores to anyone I know. I work in accounting and I work hard for every penny I make. My dad is a park manager for Harris county and i wanted him to get some fishing stuff. I would rather spend my money at Academy where the color of my skin does not matter. This was the worse experience and you guys ruined my dad Father's day. I visited your location on yesterday, December 10, 2015 to visit Santa with my 6 year old daughter and was wrongfully advised that I could not see him because I did not have a "bass pass". I arrived at your store at around 7:20 PM and immediately walked to the back where Santa was located at after walking through the turnstile (3 leg metal gates). My daughter, my friend and I waited in line for over approximately 10 minutes; it wasn't until after 7:35 pm that a Bass Pro Shop employee acknowledged us by asking if we had a "Bass Pass". We told him no, and he advised to us that this line was for "Bass Pass" ONLY and that they are all out of the Bass Pass and I would have to return on a later date because Santa was booked from 7:30 PM till 8PM. I advised to your employee that I know nothing of this, and that I was already in line before he broke the bad news to us. I also advised that Online it states that these passes are given on a first come first serve basis during the day and only serve as a fast pass or a skip the long line and the hours online are stated as 10am-8pm. There is nowhere in the store or online that states after 7:30PM are for "Bass Pass" only. I work till 6:30 PM, and had no trouble seeing Santa last year when I came to visit your place of Business at around the time. I was more upset that they would make up such ridiculous rules and the fact that I had to break the bad news to my daughter, who started crying because she was dressed in a Christmas gown and was eager to see Santa again. I immediately went to the front to advise the Manager on Duty, John about the situation with his employee, he actually agreed that this "new rule" is indeed correct, and how Santa is a contracted employee. John said that he cannot make Santa stay any longer than 8PM and without a "Bass Pass" which are given out as soon as you walk through the turnstile before 7:30 PM, he could do nothing. I told him I was waiting in line for 10 minutes before anyone approached me and that there was no one in the front handing out passes when I walked in before 7:20 PM. He told me that he must have missed you then and suggested that I can wait till 8PM, if Santa had time, he might take a photo with us but there were no promises or guarantees. I accepted this offer and decided to wait in line along with another group of people who were told the exact same thing. At about 7:50PM Santa took 3 photos with me, my daughter and my friend we thanked him for his time and left. Next year, I will save myself the heartache and pay Santa at the mall for a photo or go to Houston Plant and Garden World where it is also free! These new rules I heard of last night by your employee and management are just preposterous. The employees sound like they are ready to be off the clock, I guess it is time to forget about Christmas being an enjoyable holiday for the kids. I will also advise my friends and family as well as Yelp, BBB and all social networks to never come here. I arrived and was impressed with the store. The place is huge and well organized. Most of the employees were very helpful. When I arrived at the gun area, I got a sense of arrogance from two of the gun sales employees. Not very helpful, seemed annoyed that I even asked to see a gun. Most in sales know to attempt to ask what the customer is looking for, not happening today. Decided to go to Gander Mountain to look at safes. The employees had some trouble opening one safe I was interested in. But that was ok, they had nice personalities and great customer service skills. read more

Miraculously found the camping section and grabbed a flashlight. "Sir, you have to pay for that!" called a voice from the darkness. Who was that? I don't know, I couldn't see anything. Great store. Giant store. Like a candy store for hunter / outdoors-men like myself. I always head to the same place first, upstairs. Gun selection is always good. Knives are a plenty. Helpful knowledgeable staff. The archery guys are well experienced also. Bring your bow in and they'll rig it up while you shop. The clothing section is good and is always on stock in the seasons that are current. Dog section is good. They have a range of GPS and training items to choose from. Don't forget to bring some dollar bills for the shooting gallery. Clothing, footwear, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, kayaking, boating, and furniture. Look for event here also. We took our 4 year old Grandson there to see and take a picture with Santa on 12/12/18, well to our disbelief Santa told him that it was ok for him to touch Squeaky, his Elf On The Shelf, as long as he told us that he touched him, does Santa not know that according to the story that we read him you are NOT supposed to touch him under any circumstances, really confused our Grandson !!! read more

The customer service here is GREAT!! people are willing to help you out or teach you a few new things. I come here very often for the archery. Me & my boyfriend got into archery basically grew more into it. Bass pro archery department really helped us alot. I couldnt say more then thank you! I took the kidos here today to see Santa and Get Pictures made. This was the best experience with Santa Ever. Bass Pro really went above and beyond for this. They gave both of my sons a stuffed animal as a gift and they gave us great picture of my boys. They even emailed the picture to me and it was all FREE. read more
