Awesome place! Great displays! Aquarium is stocked and full of large mouth bass, catfish, and assorted others. Plenty of items you love to use on your outdoor trips, hikes, camps, and excursions on the water.

The folks at this Cabela's are absolutely wonderful! They found and held an item I needed for my husband's birthday for me until the next day. Then when I came to pick it up everyone was very welcoming and friendly to my dog and I. As well as respectful of space when she was nervous, until she warmed up! They found where the item was being held for me rather than having me check with different departments and brought it to check out for me! I would absolutely drive 2 hours just to shop here again because the customer service and just plain human kindness was phenomenal! Thank you all and keep it up!

I go to Cabela's often enough, for bullets as they are by far more stocked than Bass Pro Shop. I love Cabela's. (and I've not reviewed it yet? hmmm) Pro's: 1. Fish Aquarium. Come here before dishing out an admittance to the aquarium in KC. 2. Indoor shooting range. 3. Gun section...Rugers, Sigs, Walther's Oh my! 4. Mule Deer Museum. I don't hunt, but I love the Mule Deer Museum. 5. Store events 6. Bullet prices and stock Con's: 1. I love their clothes. I wear a size 10/12 pants. Their blasted tactical pants never fit. I always buy clothes when I go there, but I truly feel their tactical pants are made for 16 year olds. 2. Don't even try to buy a gun here if you live in MO. What a hassle. 3. Their C and C handbags cost more by far than Centerfire's. 4. The onsite restaurant is lame. 6. Too far from my house, but I go there anyway. Parking is always good, but if there's a soccer game, be prepared to be grilled by the parking attendant. Watch their website for store events. Bargain Cave, always check back there, as well as their clothing clearance.

Yay and store for people like me! If you have never been to a Cabela's before, then close your eyes and conjure up an image of a Bass Pro Shop. Ta-da! You now know what it is like in a Cabela's. If you don't know what it is like inside of a Bass Pro Shop or a Cabela's, then there is a good chance that you are not an outdoors kind of person or that you are a communist. This is the kind of place where you can buy anything and everything that you could want for hunting, shooting, fishing, camping, hiking, etc... It is like a big 5 or a dicks sporting goods only a whole lot bigger and a whole lot more interesting. Yes, I would recommend this joint to friends and family.

Came to see the dog jumping competition and was not disappointed. The store is massive...you can go in and come out a few hours late if you're not careful. Service is always helpful and they had plenty of check out lines open.

This place is unbelievable! One of the other reviewers called it "paradise for hunters, hikers, and fishers". I would echo that and even add lots of others. This store is huge and has various gadgets, gizmos and displays that could keep a curious person interested all day. Definitely anything and everything for hunting, fishing and hiking, but I would expand to say almost anything outside from clothes to cooking, boating, camping, etc. You just need warm clothes, or want to know more about animals, or want to eat good food at their restaurant inside the store, or want to buy a present, or want fudge, or want to do archery, or etc etc etc. I guess most of those generally fall under hunting, hiking and fishing, but the store is so big I feel like it needs more description than just that. If you are in the area, I definitely recommend you check it out.

This place is insane. You think Tri-City was the pinnacle of sporting goods stores? NOT! 180,000 square feet of just about any damn thing you would need that could possibly be considered a *sporting good* You want some deer urine? They have that here! *I know deer urine is actually not that exotic an item for those of us who are familiar with the slaughter of deer and other wild animals every year but the city slickers might be impressed* Even if you aren't looking for a camoflage poncho to wear when the weather gets moist this is still a tourist spot with lots of things to see. They have dead stuffed animals everywhere. It made me really sad to see the dead stuffed monkeys. I love monkeys. I didn't really shed any tears for the badgers or wild boars though. They also have an aquarium with lots of river fish. They have humongoid catfish! Some of these bad boys are well over 100 pounds. I'd love to make some fish in chips out of those mofos. The line of people checking in their guns at the front door is pretty sweet to see. If you flick a lit cigarette at them one of them is sure to pick it up and start smoking. Beware of poo flinging.

The main attractions for me are the Ferris wheel, the aquarium entry area and the cafe (+ sweets store). However, they have so much more to offer. It has departments for all sorts of team sports, all types of outdoor and adventure sports like fishing or hunting, fitness, footwear, games, toys, apparel, home goods and more. Do not forget to have the pizza and fudge at the cafe after a long stroll at the store. Also on the second floor they have beautiful taxidermy animals areas which is a fantastic site. It can get busy on the weekends so plan your visit accordingly because it's hard to get parking outside the store. Overall it's a clean, huge store with super friendly staff and a must visit if you're in the area!!

It's totally one part corporate, crisp, functional retail goods store, and another part taxidermy animals, rides, fudge, and hunting & fishing gear like you'd find at Bass Pro. We took our kids here on a winter break, gray day and it was a lot of fun. First off, there's a mini aquarium when you walk in -- it's nothing to write home about, but it gets the kids attention and they realize right away this is a fun store. From there, you can't miss the gigantic ferris wheel in the middle of the store. Gonna be real, it's fun and worth the wait but also a bit nerve wracking. Something is just odd about quietly swaying at the top of a department store quietly for such a long time. My daughter was like, "Dad, I'm scared to look down!" and all I could think was, "so am I, kid, so am I." We both agreed it's pretty fun once it gets going. There's also a little bowling area where you get five frames for a buck, and ditto to a little arcade game area as well. There's toy stores, outdoor goods, quality brands of clothes and outfitting, and really a nice answer to online shopping. In fact, it feels like malls used to feel in the 90's but a modern spin on everything. We did eat here but I'd say skip it. I didn't find anything I wanted and when I went to finish off my kids chicken tenders I was super underwhelmed and ended up pitching them. I will say at this time they carry Sylas & Maddy's ice cream (best IC in the city IMO) so that was a nice surprise treat. What more could you want if out shopping with the kids?! It's a great spot to kill a quiet afternoon.

I took my Rv in for maintenance and repairs. Camping World (located just west of Kansas City - the…read moresame place where i purchased the camper just a few months earlier). When I asked about the warranty coverage, the lady at Camping World informed me that warranty would not cover the repairs and I would have to pay approximately $1,200 for the repairs. Months later, I was on the ohone with Good Sam warranty myself and learned that no claim had been filed (no phone calll history on my camper). And secondly, not all the repairs were made to my camper. Need I say more ? One of, if not the most horrible business transaction experiences I have ever made. Stay away from this place!!

The only reason this review is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because of Ezra and I truly hope…read moresomeone in management actually reads this. Ezra went above and beyond helping us when we grabbed the wrong electrical adapters. He took the time to explain everything, helped us get the right parts, and made sure we were comfortable hooking up our new camper to the truck for the first time. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers, which is more than I can say for most of the people we dealt with. He's an absolute rockstar and the only reason I'd ever consider coming back. Now for the part management needs to hear: the rest of our experience was unacceptable. The business or sales manager (not sure which title he hides behind) talked to my wife and me like we were stupid.. completely condescending and rude. I don't appreciate that one bit. Then during our walk-around, mind you this is my first camper and I know a little about them so at this point, I'm completely gullible. I specifically asked the salesman while referencing the thermostat, "I know we can't try everything out because it's winterized, but does it all work?" He looked right at me and said, "Yeah yeah yeah, the heater and A/C works great." That was a flat-out lie. When we got the camper home, I tried the heater and it didn't do a thing. After diagnosing the problem myself, I found broken parts that I had to order and replace just to make it function. The fact that he looked me in the eye and said it worked when it clearly didn't is completely dishonest. Camping World, if anyone higher up sees this, please understand Ezra deserves major recognition. He's the kind of employee that saves your reputation. But your sales and management team? They need serious retraining in honesty and customer respect. People spend their hard-earned money on these purchases, and being lied to right before signing papers is disgusting.
