I was recommended this place when my car first started having trouble back when I was 17-18 yrs old. I've been coming back since because they like to get things straight to the point and will give respect where respect is due. If you're aware of this area and understand the way things work, you'll understand that you won't be treated like royalty if you're a jerk- be respectful and they will make sure to get things done for you or try to help you as best as they can. I stopped by again today to get my car looked at and get things changed out. They got me a new battery, checked out my tires, and helped ensure my car was ready for my early morning commute to school. If you're new or lacking in car knowledge, they're very understanding as well. I highly recommend this place if you need a part. Even if they don't have it, they'll try to help you find somewhere that does AS LONG AS YOU CAN KEEP A GOOD ATTITUDE. (Part new from auto parts store $700) Remember to take cash!! It's a bummer that they suck because they're the closest junk yard to me. I've had a few bad dealings with them, but after today I'm done. They told me they had the part I needed and that it was in good condition. When I got there I had to wait almost 10 minutes and they finally brought one out that was no good. They brought out a second one, no good. Third one was good, but then I discovered that it was from the wrong car and wouldn't fit. Fourth one was also wrong. It was a waste of almost an hour. I have been having some problems with my power steering so every so often or once my steering gets rough I have to add fluid. I know I know I need a new car but its ok all my car needs is a little TLC and its good to go Lol. Nevertheless I take care of my car. On this particular day I had checked my power steering fluid and forgot the canister cap on the floor or on top of my motor at a gas station. I was in the La Puente area and yelp helped me find this place Basset for used parts. Sure enough I called and a guy by the name of Henry got my vehicle info and asked that I call him back in 15mins which was no problem I was in no rush and needed to be fed. Called him back and Henry said come on down I have your cap.... I walked in and Henry was at front desk and he had my cap!!! Happy Customer. Thank you Henry Sidney and Allan. This place is horrible and bad customer service all around. I first called them to see if they had a full transmission for a 04 Acura TL 3.2 they said yes they have it out of the vehicle. I paid $750 plus a $100 "core charge" witch most junk yard don't do. Anyways I picked it up and and installed it but didn't fit quite right in the vehicle, so I got curious and looked up the vin number of the transmission they sold me a 05 Honda Accord 3.0 transmission. I went ahead and called them and found out someone made a mistake and gave me the wrong transmission. Comes to find out the transmission for the 04 Acura TL 3.2 was still in the vehicle. They made a promise saying they were going to have it out the vehicle by the end of the day. I later called to see and update and they said "so sorry we got backed up with work I couldn't get to it today" so I was already upset and just asked for a refund, I had to force them to give me my refund by the way. So we came in conclusion for me to bring the wrong transmission to them the next day in the morning and they will have my money for a full refund, Next day I showed up with the transmission early morning like they had mention. The guy in the front said he don't have enough money for the refund yet if I can come at 12 noon. I said ok I got no choice right so I will be here at 12. Later showed up at 12 took forever to get my refund. On another note while I was waiting for my refund I seen about 5 different customers really upset if they customer service. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT PLACE EVER AGAIN AND I WILL LET IT BE KNOWN ON HOW THEY DO BUSINESS! read more

Really helpful and nice folks down there. I called to ask about possibly raising my car since I bought it modified and lowered but it was scraping my new, bigger tires (lesson learnt.. measure first). I asked about coilovers since thats what I've been told to get, however they cost about an arm and a leg and I told Alan about my situation and he said I just need struts which are a fraction of the price of coilovers. He could've easily taken advantage of my lack of car knowledge but he didn't and said I could come on in and pick them up anytime. I went the next day and he remembered our phone conversation and helped me out right away despite it being a busy day. He even referred me to a shop down right down the road that would install it the same day and got an estimate for me.
