The entrance can be found near Laughlin Road. I enjoyed the scenery at sunset, the clouds lit in a beautiful pinkish hue, and being surrounded by nature, tranquil ponds, and views of the windmills on the hills. As soon as I entered the dirt path, I was greeted by a rabbit who soon hopped away, but not before I snapped a couple pics. There were also gnats and mosquitos in the air, the sounds of crickets chirping, and of course grazing cows. When I made it back, I found that same cottontail had returned to the exact spot I initially found the cute and cuddly creature. It was like deja vu. Other things to note... there were a couple picnic tables near the parking lot (Laughlin Ranch Staging Area), a restroom, and surprisingly good cell phone service on site.

My long time friend Dave Duffin (R.I.P.) petitioned to keeping Carnegie open for public use as a member of Carnegie Forever organization and has enabled our non profit organization (Oasis for Kids.org) to continue our 50 plus year tradition of taking youth ( boys and girls) there to learn how to ride safely, about safety riding gear and to have fun on motorcycles while respecting the land. This January 2026 the Park Rangers used rice hull to fill in the ruts from the rain erosion and made those areas very slippery instead of using DG or a more tractable filler and some trails had granite rocks as filler so that was challenging also. But overall, you cannot beat the low cost and huge number of trails, beginner tracks, MX tracks and picnic facilities with bathrooms as a great place for families, friends and riders of all ages to enjoy the outdoors together! Kudos to the Park Rangers for being very responsive to rider accidents as we saw some young kids go up a steep trail on a quad with no helmets on and flip over needing to be taken by stretcher down the hill for medical attention. (Rangers can be contacted via Cell phone emergency channels as cell reception is poor for calls.) Walkie Talkies are recommended for group rides . Enjoy Carnegie OHV Park! Also, the instructors ALWAYS look unhappy and have a sullen attitude. They don't make any effort to discipline misbehaving students either. They do the bare minimum with a very grumpy look apparent on their faces. They're nice over email and scheduling but it's way too crazy and crowded. The coaches attitudes don't help either. Lots of other places for the same price with a more positive, professional and supportive staff that smile!

When I inquired with Kazio about their ability/willingness to work with neurodivergent kids, I was told it was definitely an option; my daughter just needed to be evaluated to see if she would benefit from a private lesson or could do a group lesson. During the evaluation, I thought for sure my daughter would need a private lesson; NOPE I was SUPER excited because it meant the coaches are really willing/able to work with a neurodivergent kiddo AND my daughter could be with her peers. All of the coaches here are fantastic! My daughter really loves coach Malik and coach Madison; they are great with her, ESPECIALLY Madison! Madison is patient, encouraging, understanding and helps my daughter believe in herself. Although my daughter hasn't progressed like many neurotypical kiddos her age, she has made progress her way and I'm very PROUD of her! Every week my daughter looks forward to gymnastics and can't get out of the car fast enough to run into class. Thank you so much to ALL of the coaches, especially Madison!!!!!

SUMMER CONCERT REVIEW: The city of Dublin hosts free weekly summer concerts from June through…read moreAugust at Emerald Glen Park on Thursday evenings. This also coincides with their farmer's market. I came here last Thursday to catch "Pop Fiction", a cover band. I arrived at 5:40 PM, 20 minutes before the concert, so I walked around to check out the farmer's market. There are food trucks, fruits, veggies, seafood, pastries, and lots more. The concert is at the Amphitheater, which has a couple tiers of lawn area. Early birds take up the back section and set up their tents and tables. We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.

There was excitement coming from the park and waterpark. There were tons of local vendors. I truly enjoyed all the sampling at the farmers market. I've seen a coyote, lots of squirrels, and plenty of birds. Oh, and in spring, the cherry trees on the lower slopes throw on their gorgeous floral finery. If timed right, residents can take family photos. The park is often calm on weekdays. But it can get quite crowded when baseball or soccer leagues hold tournaments and/or the community room is rented out for a party on weekends. Parking is often impossible at these times.

It's incredibly windy here, so keep that in mind. Today, I traveled the bike trail--not particularly fascinating, except you're getting a good look at the water. The park has one primitive bathroom in a large parking lot. Probably anglers find this park attractive.

This was a fun family outing for me and my family. There were people bank fishing and in boats. There is no shade, so keep that in mind for summer. Its paved for bikes or skating (careful for rocks).
