There are so many layout options for your ceremony and reception, plus having so many different spaces for our wedding party to stay in was the perfect way to recreate my surprise engagement in Italy with friends. Before the ceremony, I managed to sneak away with Christianna into the meditation room for a little session, and it was *magical*. It's so easy to get caught up in the craziness of your wedding that there can be a tendency to rush through every moment. Christianna has such a gift being able to center people and gently remind you of the importance of your wedding. The short time I spent tucked away meditating with her was so incredibly helpful. Reinstein Ranch - Ceremony behind the Reinstein Ranch barn - Horse Boarding Near Me - Livermore, California

Off the bat, this place is a dream come true. This was the second venue my now husband and I had looked at after we got engaged. The second we step foot on the property we knew that was the place we wanted to get married. Christianna and Albe are such warm, genuine people and made us feel instantly comfortable. It was made clear from the get go that we would be able to do virtually anything our hearts desired. That's what we wanted in a venue, being a creative couple we needed and wanted a venue that would allow us to think outside of the box and stay true to ourselves.  The fact that there is PLENTY of space for your guests to stay is another huge plus. There's a bunkhouse with 4 bunk beds, 6 yurts and 3 rooms in the main house. There's also ample amount of space to have guests camp as well! Unfortunately we were one of the many COVID couples and had to postpone our beautiful day from April 2020 to August 2020. Christianna was SO incredibly understanding throughout the whirlwind of a process. She sensed how anxious I was dealing with everything and leading up to the event, that she reached out a few times to offer a meditation - so helpful. She was also so kind to let us have a soft hold on a date for 2021 pending another postponement. Luckily, we were able to move forward and it couldn't have gone better.  Albe was out of town the weekend of our wedding, so it was just Christianna and while she was helpful and there to answer questions, she also kept her distance at the same time which we appreciated - we never felt suffocated or pressured. All in all, we are incredibly thankful that Christianna and Albe opened up their home to our family and friends - truly a magical weekend and magical space. This is one of the most beautiful spots around Livermore, and I enjoy taking Blondie there not only for the lessons, but just to relax. And I can't be distracted by my Android, because there's no coverage! Bring a camera for some truly stunning shots. Anyway, the lessons seem to be going well. Blondie loves the horses, and they appear to be well cared for. Lucy is her instructor, and we started here because 1) we could try out a single lesson to see how it went, and 2) an easy payment plan beyond that. This week, Lucy is letting Blondie bring a friend. This venue was perfect in every way! My husband and I wanted an authentic rustic wedding with a huge barn and to be able to stay the whole weekend... check, check, and check! We knew that this was the perfect venue before we even went to see it in person! There are so many great options for ceremony and reception options that you can truly let your imagination run wild with ideas :) Our whole wedding celebration was magical and everything we ever dreamed of. Once we arrived at the ranch on Friday, the stress was gone and the fun started! Having everything happen in one incredible location is the way to go (in my opinion) and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Last year, my husband and I worked at the ranch on an amazing Indian Wedding! The staff and everyone we encountered at Reinstein Ranch were warm and welcoming! The ranch itself is a large space with a barn and ton of potential - the perfect space for a unique wedding! We decorated a tent and also an outdoor Mandap and it could not have been more beautiful! Everything about this place is AMAZING! Cozy cabin, horses everywhere, epic scenery, a hot tub! I came here with my girlfriend and our dog Presley to get away from the city for the weekend. We had our wedding at Reinstein Ranch in Aug. 2015, and it was magical. The place and the people can't be beat. Starting with the place: it's an amazing mix of 100+ years of preserved ranch history and modern touches. We got married in their cathedral of a barn, with late afternoon sun streaming in between wooden slats. Afterward everyone watched the hills get more golden as the sun set behind them. And then the twinkling cafe lights came on and horses and cows made their way through the pastures. It was breathtaking. Our guests continue to rave about the place and the moments it created. My groom and I each had our immediate families stay in the ranch house too. They loved it for its comfort and amenities, and beautiful antique fixtures. It was a nice way for our two families to spend time and space together. The groom and I stayed in the small hetch hetchy cabin and it was so totally sweet, perfect, and comfortable. And now, the people! We were lucky enough to be one of the first couples married here, and working with Christiana was easy and fun. She is a joy -- full of life and responsive to our ideas and questions. She went above and beyond for us before and after the wedding, helping us to find the right vendors, and coordinating them seamlessly the day-of. During the wedding she found little things to make us feel awesome. She saw a horse boarder with a newly bathed horse, and asked if we could take pictures with her. We did, and totally treasure these photos now. When late into the night dessert hadn't come out, she went and served our pies. Her brother helped us tear down and clean up after guests left at 12.30 am. Super hard-working, professional, good-hearted people. I feel so lucky to have met the Reinsteins and to have had them with us on such a big day. I feel like I should start boarding a horse at Reinstein Ranch so I can go back all the time :) read more

My husband and I got married at the ranch in August 2019 and it was the best decision we made to celebrate our wedding and bring all of our friends and family together there. When we first got engaged I was so worried that we were going to fall victim to the cookie-cutter, corporate wedding industry and that my wedding would feel like a blur. Thank goodness we found the ranch! From our first visit, Christianna and Albie immediately made us feel welcome and encouraged us to make our wedding celebration as personal as possible, ensuring us that at the ranch we would have freedom to create a unique celebration that was a reflection of our relationship. The warm welcome and introduction were great, but of course I was also blown away by the gorgeous setting, rustic barn, and charming grounds that the ranch had to offer. We opted for the 3 night package which meant we rented the ranch from Friday evening all the way until Monday morning (with planning support from Kirin at TLC events - she's amazing!). This was the perfect option for us because we wanted to host multiple events for our all of our guests - including a pizza party rehearsal dinner on Friday night, wedding + reception on Saturday, and bagel brunch on Sunday. Throughout the entire planning process, Christianna and Kirin were accommodating, helpful, and creative - all to help us put together a weekend that was truly magical and surpassed all of our expectations. From a quiet meditation at the beginning of the weekend, to yoga on Saturday morning, the excitement of our ceremony + reception, and some quiet time with family on Sunday afternoon, we were able to truly be present and never felt rushed. When I look back on the weekend now I'm so grateful that we found the ranch and were able to provide a space for our friends and family to gather across multiple days to help us enter this exciting new chapter in our lives. read more

If you are looking for a warm friendly place for horse boarding or training, you have to check out Reinstein Ranch! After visiting and/or boarding at other locations around the Tri-Valley area, I have to say I LOVE this ranch. It's a low key place where you and your horse can be taken care of and feel welcome. Other boarders are friendly--no "barn drama." I've gotten to know a number of people who have horses there and its been amazing. Lots of help if you need it--everyone talks to each other, pitches in, etc. Outstanding riding trails on the ranch (600 acres!) plus a covered arena, extra large outdoor arena and three round pens. For boarding there are lots of different options from stalls to paddocks to pasture. I've boarded my own horse here and I've leased one of their horses. I can't imagine boarding anywhere else! read more

Me and my fiancé,I mean wife*, had our wedding here. Every person we interacted with was helpful, responsive, kind and genuinely wanted us to have a wonderful wedding day. We can't believe how perfect our day turned out. Some things to note: we like the rustic ranch look so we didn't have to decorate much to make it look really good. Our wedding was in October so it wasn't too hot. There is a lot of dust, and the dress got stickers in it from our pictures but... so what :) not gonna use the dress again. Nothing to complain about. If your looking for horse boarding, look no further. Reinstein Ranch is a Five Star Boarding Facility. When I first came to Reinstein Ranch, I was welcomed by the owner, Thom Reinstein. He couldn't have been kinder. I told him my mare was at U.C. Davis, recovering from two surgeries after she was brutally attacked in pasture at another facility. I told him I was looking for a ranch that she could rehabilitate in a safe and sound environment. I also told him that I had been referred to him by my Veterinarian. Thom showed me around & assured me that if I decided to board my horse at his ranch, she would recover in a very good environment. He said he had a great group of boarders & their horses, and no drama! I have been there now two years. My mare has fully recovered and I can attest to all of the horses being happy & content. The boarders are all very welcoming & friendly. I have met the trainers, Dan & Kelly. They are awesome! I look forward to some brush up lessons when I'm ready. I have also had the pleasure of meeting both Zack & Christianna, Thom's son & daughter (5th generation). Both are wonderful people and very attentive. Thom and his family care about the ranch, it's horses & boarders. They are hands on (live on property) & are very involved in all the activities at the ranch. Reinstein Ranch provided the absolutely perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. We were able to create a personalized wedding, using this property as a blank slate. That is one thing for couples to keep in mind here: despite its gorgeous views, it is really a blank slate and you will need to rent and bring everything in for your event, including restrooms. As long as you are willing to coordinate all of the details and have a sense of play and patience in the process, this is a perfect place to create a truly special day. Christianna and Albe were a calming and nurturing presence throughout the process and demonstrated their care and dedication to helping us make our wedding truly special. This place is a real hidden gem. It has been updated while being authentically preserved. I stayed in the Cabin but you can rent the whole ranch house and have a beautiful, pastoral view from the rocking chairs on the front porch. My background is in TV production so I'm always on the lookout for possible shooting locations: this one is terrific if you're looking for a rural, horsey vibe. If I were getting married again, I'd ride up to the altar in a haywagon in my bare feet, and greet my groom as the sun sets over the hill above the windmill. The whole place is so versatile it would work for any kind of event, from a musical performance to an outdoor screening to a company party to a hoedown. Plenty of parking, plenty of space, plenty of peace and quiet, if that's what you prefer. Why am I gushing? I just like to see good places rise to the top. I discovered this place totally by accident: my brother lives 20 minutes away in Pleasonton. Last Thanksgiving, even though I adore my brother, I stayed at the Ranch instead. Nuff said. read more

From the moment we drove onto the Ranch, we felt welcomed. The historic ranch house has been in the family for 5 generations and we were able to meet three of the generations during out visit - and their hospitality definitely runs in the family. Tom and Christianna made us feel at home and welcomed us to their entire ranch with so much warmth. The location is a phenomenal escape from a busy metropolitan area without have to leave the metropolitan area. With historic cabins, farm equipment, fully active horse training and horse stables, out door deck equipped with music, a hot tub, and open land for a mile in all directions - I cant think of another location that is comparable. I definitely will tell friends and family about this location and look forward to visiting here more routinely at least 1-2 times a year. read more

Absolutely loved this venue for a full wedding weekend. This place is 10 minutes off the freeway but a hundred years away in time. Friends (of all ages) couldn't say enough wonderful things. It was 1) beautiful 2) flexible 3) large 4) fun, fun, fun! We rented out the whole facility (it's the historic Reinstein Ranch) for an entire weekend, hosted 40 people overnight on site (10 under roofs, 8 glamping, the rest camping), and put on 3 very special and different events (Friday pizza dinner, Saturday wedding/reception, Sunday brunch) ranging from 90-140 people. The barn, the farmhouse, the cottage, the dance/yoga floor, the fire pit, the big open spaces, the beautiful shaded spaces -- we used them all! Rustic yet elegant. We were a little nervous about heat (given Livermore's reputation), but timing the wedding for sunset and the gentle ambient breeze made it just right. Plus lots of great hotel space and a handy Costco only 6 miles / 12 minutes away. The host and helpers are a delight to work with. We could not have been happier. What a find! read more

My daughter and her husband had a magical weekend wedding at the Reinstein Ranch. It was so much fun and the setting was perfect. Some of their friends camped there, others stayed in the house and bunk room and many in local hotels. Everything was outdoors. The rehearsal dinner under the giant tree strung with lights was so much fun. The wedding ceremony with the picturesque golden hills in the background was beautiful. Dinner was setup outside the barn and the tables were lovely. DJ and dancing in the palapa was perfect. Christianna even held a morning yoga class for them. All in all it was the best wedding and everyone was so nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend having an event there. You won't be disappointed read more

We had our wedding at Reinstein Ranch and it was gorgeous despite the freak rain/wind storm that came through on our wedding weekend. Christianna and her family are extremely warm and welcoming and truly want you to have a unique wedding experience, which is exactly what we wanted. We didn't want a cookie cutter wedding! They are pretty hands off which works well but you must have a thorough wedding planner who is familiar with the space to deal with the complexities of hosting an outdoor wedding. We were free to use the spaces as we wanted and Christianna and her family were available throughout the weekend to help out and went above and beyond the day before our wedding to help flip our wedding ceremony site due to the weather. The hills are magical and everyone keeps raving about our wedding because it was so beautiful and unique. My husband and I are still dreaming about our wedding here!! read more

For me and my friends (about a dozen of us), the ranch house served as a rustic, yet contemporary setting for the celebration of a birthday. The home is warm and inviting, yet open and spacious enough to provide a sense of opulence. We took advantage of every comfort: the wide open kitchen, the patio for our sunset drinks, the hot tub and the warm beds... everyone was comfortable. The ongoing yoga sessions brought a positive energy to the atmosphere, while the music room afforded a place for the creatives in our group to release a little bit of mental energy. The property is able to sleep a decent amount of people so our bridal party was able to stay with us and it was convenient to stay the entire weekend on site. When our guests showed up they were blown away. You have these beautiful barns and buildings and homes from the 1800's that make for the best pictures. The open space and rolling hills are breathtaking. there are beautiful rustic barns and and plenty of trails for riding. You'll have the real experience of feeling part of the ranch, I consider it my second home. Thom, the owner, is a real cowboy. He's honest, kind to all the animals and goes above and beyond. He has never tolerated any unnecessary drama, which in turn, has created a very special environment of sweet, fun loving people. California Ranch is a beautiful venue to really wow your guests. The ranch is pretty large with different settings so it provides many opportunities and creative freedom on how you want to plan your special event. I had my wedding here in August 2016 and our guests continue to rave about the venue. Our guests had no problem finding the venue, even though Tassajara Road (the quickest and most direct route there) was completely closed for road construction! Christianna was very easy to work with and was always available for any questions we had. She even gave us a private yoga class the morning of my wedding! We were able to use the house on the venue to sleep the night before and night of the wedding, to allow my bridal party and family to really enjoy the full weekend of festivities. The open valley behind the barn is one of the best back drops you could ever dream of. This ranch house was amazing! I stayed with several friends for my birthday after visiting some Livermore wineries during the day, and we all thought that Christianna was very welcoming and courteous, and that the house was fantastic. It's located in gorgeous countryside, and it was very serene to wake up in the morning and drink coffee on the veranda in front of the house, watching the horses walk around the fields. There was a lot of space, the kitchen was great for prepping and cooking dinner, and the hot tub was very nice. The beds were comfy and towels and everything you could need was provided and clearly marked. I only wish we'd had the opportunity to take Christianna up on her offer to tell us about the history of the house, but we were running late for our winery reservation and never got to hear more about the property. This place is so charming! I'd definitely want to stay there again, and I know my friends feel the same. read more

This ranch must be one of the most beautiful in Northern CA, in the spring when the fresh green meets the blue blue sky it becomes a magical place. There are plenty of trails to explore and space to ride. Thom and team clearly have a love for horses and for the environment. Their care of my horse has been outstanding. This barn is a chill place, with no A types, everyone is friendly and helpful. As a bonus, Yoga is taught sometimes at the weekend.
