Then a couple months ago I realized that The DUNKIN DONUTS drive through was open!! (I guess they had been open throughout 2020 but I didn't get out much.) The Dunkin Donuts iced coffee is SO very good! And the crew always makes it just how I like it Even though I usually go in the late afternoon, they are very patient in telling me which donuts or pastries they've still got. I can't believe I was paying those other guys so much money for their precious burnt espresso drinks and overpriced pastries--when I can get an EXCELLENT Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and a donut for less than the price of an iced coffee at that Seattle chain. Oh yeah, and the Dunkin folks who work the late afternoon drive-through are fantastic! They always make my long drive home from Bastrop SO MUCH better! Thanks DD gang!

I didnt say anything bc it didn't look like much so i drove home and it went all over the ground I called when i got home and explained the situation and the lady said she could give me more napkins and then hanged up on me.

They are known for their kolaches and pastries. They also have an assortment of goods including clothing, beverages, deli and a whole host of snacks. Arguably one of the greatest foods ever invented. Atleast in my world. How can you go wrong with bread filled with sweet or savory fillings? Hruska's is about halfway between Houston and Austin and a perfect rest stop to fill up on gas, use the clean facilities, grab a snack or indulge in their amazing baked goods. They are steeped in history and have been around for decades passing along the family recipes. It's obviously improved structurally over the years from a country store and looks like a modern gas station now. It's always pretty busy every time I have stopped in, but they are a well oiled machine and keep the masses moving with excellent customer service. They have all your gas station essentials like snacks and beverages. What sets them apart is their bakery. Here, they label their kolaches as the traditional fruit filled variety. I like them, but they are never my first choice. I love the ones with meat inside. Here, they label these as pigs in a blanket. They have a large variety of both. I usually go for a regular sausage and cheese, but over here, they sell a delicious pan sausage kind. On top of all their sweet and savory baked goods, they also sell burgers on the grill. Their burgers have made it to the Texas Monthly Top 50 burger spots. I have yet to try it. Overall, this is an always stop place for me. I highly recommend stopping here to stretch your legs and enjoy a delicious pastry while you're at it. I will definitely be back.

I came to this location today to get something quick for Thing Two prior to her heading off to…read morecamp. This is a small locally owned shop that offers doughnuts breakfast wraps and kolaches. Thing Two elected to get a fruit filled doughnut, which I believe was supposed to be a kolache. The fruit was inside the doughnut as opposed to a true fruit kolache where the fruit filling is exposed on the top of the kolache. I elected to order a breakfast "burrito." Burrito is in quotes as what I received wasn't a burrito but a taco. Why? Because burritos be definition are thicker and larger than tacos, reaching 10 to 12 inches with an oblong shape, and this was not that. This burrito included egg, bacon, and cheese on a store bought tortilla. The burritos were sitting in the same area where the doughnuts were, and mine was placed in a microwave to warm prior to presenting it to me. The service was friendly, but the products offered here aren't extraordinary (and misleading by product definition) but not terrible either. The two items purchased came in just under $5.00. Credit cards are only accepted here if the purchase is over $5.00.
