    Playscape

Boring Bodega is kind of random but in great ways. Since it opened we have seen it evolve and grow which is great. There is now 2 playscapes outside, mini golf, pickleball courts which are $1 per person per hour and corn hole. There is a food truck and plenty of picnic tables and shaded spots to sit. Inside there is a mini market with healthy food options, beer and wine. You can order food as well: they make their guac on site and it's actually delicious. They have sandwiches and plenty of options that are very reasonably priced. Coffee and lattes as well. There is a newly added bar to sit at and watch sports. Free video games and foosball and ping pong are a hit with the kids too. We had a neighborhood meet up there last month and it was a great option for people to roam and do their own thing and plenty of space for large groups. Excited to see what else pops up at the bodega!

The little market inside carries a ton of high quality food and snacks, local and imported. Even some dog and cat items that are really priced well! Fair pricing from food & drinks to cheap games rental, this place is a gem! Two outdoor pickleball courts, a jungle gym for kiddos and nearby covered seating under pergolas. Lots of free parking. They sell shirts and bags that are high quality too for $15-50. We got two shirts and love the shirt quality. Thanks for this gem, Elon!

Such a fun place with a lot of free entertainment for kids and families we like coming here on Sundays for pool. They have a bar and they have pretty good food and a little convenient shopping with interesting, unique fines, and outdoor spaces for kids and a Pickleball court the Staff are, generally friendly.

Stopped by this place on the way out of town. What a cute shop. They have a tattoo place inside. The pickle ball courts here are only $1 per hour, which is an insane pricing. The food that's made to order is delicious - tried the smoked salmon on bagel here. Otherwise it's a normal little grocery store/bodega.

Stopped by to check this place out after spending the night in Austin after hearing about it on other social media sights. Kind of cool to see out in the middle of nowhere and close to what I believe was a SpaceX facility. It's a cool little tourist spot and probably convenient for locals or employees. We grabbed a few cool snacks, had a coffee and hit the road.

Not boring at all.. well depends on your geekdom. A friend tried the italian sandwich and said he's definitely go back. I had an excellent Starbase beer and picked up some fun merch.

I'm so happy we have this new spot to hang out and have some family fun. From video games to pickle ball to coming in and getting your haircut or manicure. Or you can just sit down and enjoy their coffee and snacks. Soon they will also have a bar. Can't wait to see what else they'll be bringing to this side of town. So lucky to be just minutes away.

Stopped by for a sandwich, got the Gambino. Tasted great. Customer service was on point. Very clean restroom and a nice vibe overall.

Cute cute cute. Omg they had this random perfume bottle when you walk in it was so funny I did think it was boring because of the 'sugary treats' everywhere but they were obviously paired with boring products like scary shampoo and cat treats that no cat would ever eat lol. The barbershop wasn't even open on New Year's Eve!! Omg so funny!! So Boring!!

Really fun despite the fact my mom kicked my butt in ping pong! It had the food and drink we wanted and the selection was above and beyond.

FINALLY I decided to make some time and check it out. It was a Saturday afternoon around 10 AM. When looking it up here on Yelp I noticed it has the location much further out in Elgin or so, but it's actually right next to Old Kimbro Road. Walking up to it, it's a beautiful truck with all of the menu options all over it. I was greeted by a very nice woman inside who took my order. I ordered an iced latte with vanilla and a breakfast bagel sandwich. The coffee was delicious--creamy and sweet as it should be! And the breakfast sandwich was also great. The bagel was soft and dough-y, and the bacon and egg had good flavor. It's a generous size as well! I didn't expect to get as full as I did with it. I took it to go and I loved the business stickers and packaging! Overall had a great experience here and will definitely be back. Skip Starbucks and Go Local!!! You won't regret it!!

They have their menu posted all over their truck and a small sign above their window advertising their new cold brew. I took two. The total came out to be just over $8 (I did ask for oat milk and vanilla syrup in both) and added a tip to support my local business. The coffee was on the sweeter side and had a creamier taste. My dog and I waited at the swing table briefly and the woman offered my dog a dog treat in which she happily accepted. Great service and great coffee close to home. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying new things on their menu!

They have gluten free options as well as vegan options and options for those who can have gluten. I went there for three out of the six days that I was on vacation in that area. I had originally wanted a chocolate chip cookie, but they didn't do just regular gluten free ones. However they did have gluten free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. I'm not a big fan of peanut butter, but I thought I would try it since I was really craving a cookie. I had just the one, and it was so so so good! It didn't taste overly of peanut butter which was a win for me! It had just the right amount of peanut butter and chocolate chips. It was crispy around the edges and chewy towards the middle. I went back that same day and got two more of those cookies. The other days I went I got the same thing. One day, I did try their gluten free apple butter bar which was just as amazing! Service was fantastic! Each day I went, there was someone I hadn't seen before working. Each of them were super nice and friendly. The bakery itself had a very calm ambiance about it. It had a lot of space inside if you wanted to eat your meal or dessert inside or you could get it to go. I also love how Tough Cookie Bakery supports the LGBTQ+ community. There was a pride flag painted outside of the bakery, and that just made me love the place that much more! I would definitely recommend Tough Cookie Bakery in Bastrop. I can't wait to go back once we're back in the area at the end of this month.

The only letdown was finding out that the ice cream isn't homemade or unique to the shop--it's just Blue Bell. Now, as a lifelong Blue Bell fan, I'll never turn it down, but with a place that has so much originality and character, we were hoping for a menu that reflected that same spirit. Still, it's a cute spot and worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.

Going into the seating area, there tables and some little nooks to meet a friend or work from. It's a place you can find the hours pass. The only downside is side is the lack of a sign at the front entrance that the owner is feverishly trying to get approval on. It's a bit disheartening to see a small business owner have to wait to have something approved that would increase their visibility and have their business grow. I am not sure what official dept in Bastrop that takes care of it, but they need to do it for this great little place to be more noticeable. They also hold special events here too.
