They listen carefully, show genuine empathy, and offer thoughtful solutions to approach the problem. Unfortunately, this visit left me feeling uncomfortable, dismissed, and taken advantage of. I struggle with significant anxiety around doctors, especially in clinical settings, and instead of feeling supported, I felt judged and spoken down to. The provider I met with had very poor bedside manner and made assumptions about me and my body within minutes of meeting me. At one point, she even commented that I was "getting bright red" while questioning me, which only heightened my anxiety. I was too nervous to speak up in the moment. What stood out the most was being told multiple times that I "never have to come back" and could just return to the Smithtown location. That felt unprofessional and dismissive--especially given that I had just paid a significant amount out of pocket for the visit. To make matters worse, I was informed that treatment would require a follow-up appointment, leaving me feeling stuck after spending money on a visit that ultimately didn't help me. Before that, the doctors he had been seeing could not make a correct diagnosis and prescribe the appropriate treatment. The doctor immediately determined what kind of disease it was and prescribed an ointment. A few days later, there was a noticeable improvement. I want to note that the doctor was very attentive, polite, and took his time. His staff is also amazing. I know for sure that if any dermatological or cosmetic problems arise in our family, we will only be treated by Dr. Applebaum.

I was told it would take up until 10 months before I would see the complete results. I was told I that I was given the strongest dosage and that it was a onetime procedure and that within the 10 months I would see the results. Well, it's been over 10 months and Nothing! I went back for the 10 month follow up 3/14/2026 as explained by the clinical director. After the tech took the pics, she asked me if I was happy, I said NO nothing's changed. I want my money back. That Monday the clinical director called me Jemima. She told me she saw a little difference, and she asked me what I wanted to do. I said I want my money back she said no but, I could come in and try a different procedure. I told her NO for 2 reasons 1) you told me it was a onetime procedure 2) that I was given the strongest dosage 3) I would still have to wait another 10 months to be disappointed, and besides every time I called which was too many times to count because I wasn't seeing any results. Everyone kept reassuring me to wait and give it 10 months it. I will be happy you'll see. 12 months later I still have the eye bags. It clearly DID NOT WORK FOR ME. Just in case you say I give a good surgery that was done the day of the service not the 10 months after which is what I had to wait to see the full results which is nothing.
