The area it is in is a strip mall so there are other things around to take a look at. On one visit, my friend wanted to know the status of an order she had placed, and if the shop could change the name on her order. The guy behind the counter helped change the name no problem. He was super efficient and even checked if there was anything else that needed to be altered in the system on the shop's end. I thought this was really rad. They have the standard comic book store items. It is not huge, but it is well organized and they're willing to order any books they do not have in stock already. Stop in if you're in the area.

They have pretty much every bestseller; they do sell some new books too which tend to cost about as much as they would at any commercial bookstore but obvs buying a used copy can save you a bit. They do buy books and media materials but know you won't get much (around 50% of the book's selling price assuming it's in excellent condition seems to be the pattern I've noticed). The staff are always really helpful and knowledgeable. They have plenty of parking too. Will mention I have noticed the location on N Lamar tends to have more books in general (it's bigger!) but as a South Austin native I'm glad to have a location down here.

It is super convenient for me to pop in especially since there are other big box stores (Sam's), a local barbecue spot next door (Moreno's Barbecue), and even the movie theater (Cinemark) I usually frequent. The selection here is robust and they have a ton of options for everyone including vinyl records, cassettes, VHS, DVDs, paperback and hard back books, a nice long clearance section, and like others have mentioned - nice spots to plop down and hang out/sit for a minute. I come here often to check and browse the vinyl selection. They have a nice set of records that rotate in and out each week. They even have a collectibles box/bin the record area for you to look at that include some super rare records. Their selection ranges from used/previously owned to brand new albums. I have seen some classic rock albums that are reasonably priced. In terms of selling your books or media, I have only been here one time to do so and I came during the week. I had no issues with the offer they gave me as it was fair and the wait for the offer was not long at all! I wasn't even done browsing the store before they had an offer ready for me. Easy parking and super spacious store to come through to and check out. They are tucked away off the side, at the end of the South Park Meadows area, but worth a stop or drop in.

You'll find them just past Barton Middle School if you're heading south, sandwiches between a few other shops. The shop is small at the moment, consisting of two rooms of merchandise. One has a lot of in-the-box model sets like fighter planes, vintage automobiles, and the like, along with paints/primers/etc. needed for assembling them. The front room has a lot of fun board game titles such as Pandemic and SmallWorld, even classics like Cribbage and Dominos. They've just begun stocking Dungeons & Dragons stuff-- I couldn't resist... I bought another set of dice and some cool miniatures! Danielle and Rudy are vibrant and excited, willing to answer any questions, listen to feedback, or even just have a friendly chit-chat. They want to know what their clientele is interested in purchasing, so if you don't see what you're looking for, let them know!
