Would leave zero if the app would let me. This store does not stand behind it's own return policy…read more There policy as listed on their website states, "Not every decision can be a winner, and we understand that. That's why we like to keep it simple: if you are not 100% totally, completely, and unconditionally satisfied for any reason whatsoever, let us know! Here at LionHeartHobby.com, you are in safe hands." Purchased and item that you can't tell satisfaction without using it, and then their excuse was, "we can't take it back because it was used." This is why Amazon is taking over, price was lower and returns are accepted. No reason to support a local business when their prices are higher, and they lie about their return policy. Their return policy should just state Caveat Emptor, because when we say if you are not 100% totally, completely, and unconditionally satisfied for any reason whatsoever, let us know, we're just gonna tell you to go pound sand. And those safe hands don't even exist. Any business that can not stand behind it's policies is just lying. And liars don't deserve to be in business.

It's not a five-star business... yet! But with as friendly and enthusiastic the fledgling shop…read moreowners are (and their keen grasp of social media), I'm certain they're off to a great start! It's their first week of operation. When I heard about it, I had to stop in because I'm a big tabletop gamer and all-around nerd. You'll find them just past Barton Middle School if you're heading south, sandwiches between a few other shops. The shop is small at the moment, consisting of two rooms of merchandise. One has a lot of in-the-box model sets like fighter planes, vintage automobiles, and the like, along with paints/primers/etc. needed for assembling them. The front room has a lot of fun board game titles such as Pandemic and SmallWorld, even classics like Cribbage and Dominos. They've just begun stocking Dungeons & Dragons stuff-- I couldn't resist... I bought another set of dice and some cool miniatures! Danielle and Rudy are vibrant and excited, willing to answer any questions, listen to feedback, or even just have a friendly chit-chat. They want to know what their clientele is interested in purchasing, so if you don't see what you're looking for, let them know!

I'm a sucker for anything British, even if it's a gaming room. Who doesn't love a board game cafe?…read moreThey had me with the architecture. Pure Tudor elements and vibes. They've got a huge outdoor patio with a Tardis and lots of seating. Inside they've got a couple of different rooms. You enter in the coffee house/bar side that has counter and table seating. They have a wide variety of tea, coffee, cocktails, 30+ beers on tap, n/a, sodas, etc. The center of space is a shop with gaming items, plushies, books, etc. Off to the right is a very large dining area with several cove-like Tudor booths. Perfect for large gaming teams and events and rad that you're able to have a meal or snack while playing (no outdoor food or drinks allowed). This is a perfect haven for D&D peeps. The British theme runs throughout the entire space including the menu. My boyfriend and I shared a Bavarian pretzel and brisket pie. The brisket pie was incredible and made feel like I was back in the UK at a local pub having a bite. Absolutely perfect. I'm not a gamer and you don't have to be to appreciate this inclusive, welcoming environment. It's eclectic, charming, & tasty!

I love this place so much, it's such a vibe if you just want a chill night playing board games with…read morefriends, but I will say that their food game needs a little help. They have an extensive menu with fun seasonal drinks (including mocktails!) and a variety of food options that are kind of Western European themed (think England and Ireland), which goes along with the theme of the place. I got the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with English Chips and while the sandwich was okay (can't really go wrong with cheese, pesto, and grilled chicken), the chips stole the show for me and will for you if you like thicker/potatoey friend fries. As for their fish and chips, they were fine, but the fish was more breading than fish and was on the sweeter end, which I didn't expect, but didn't hate either. We also tried their Ranger, Bard, and Cleric mocktails, and I have to say that I was a little disappointed as the drinks were extremely overpriced compared to what we got... the Bard was essentially a fancy glass of Trix cereal, the Ranger was cucumber soda, and the Druid was sparkling lemonade, all priced at $8 per drink. I can appreciate that they have mocktail options, but $8 for a cup of cereal is too much for my taste ‍ They get four stars from me because the ambiance, concept, service, and experience were fantastic, but the food quality and prices need some work.
