Awesome sticker and Bones unicorn Model

I'm going to start off by saying that I know nothing of comics so this review is mostly for individuals who like board games and quirky items. Upon walking in I was immediately greeted by a friendly worker (her name escaped me) and was told if she could help with anything. It is huge and full of small trinkets for anime fans and they even have a wall full of books that kids can get into. My boyfriend found an awesome Bones Unicorn model I could paint(4.50) , and while browsing before leaving I found the cutest sticker(.25). I will comment that some things are wee bit on the expensive side of the spectrum. I totally would've grabbed a Kiki's Delivery Service necklace if was maybe 10% cheaper. So my friends, the store is an all together a well stocked nerd shop with fun personnel that are just as fun as they are helpful. Though I read a review that said otherwise, I recommend that you come in and look around.

Today was my first time and here, and no store (or anything, for that matter) has ever made me miss…read morethe 90s more than the time I spent in here. Everyplace I walked, there was a blend of past and present. PlayStation 4 & 5 games, alongside rows of nostalgia that ranged in clothes, toys, accessories, movies, you name it. This store embodies 90s pop culture, and not the hip hop side, but more the alternative (which is what I felt more represented me). I found a dvd I've been looking for months, in just a matter of minutes. The movies are all alphabetized, yo! It's like a thrift store, but so much more. If you were a child of the 80s that lived through the 90s, you will probably appreciate this place . My dvd was only $1.99!

While hanging out in Folsom the other day, my husband and I decided to visit The Cave to see if we…read morecould expand our growing Funko Pop collection. I really liked that the Folsom location had a way bigger selection of Funko Pops than the Arden location. There is so much stuff to look through in general at this location, since it's roomier. I specifically scoured the shelves for some Funko Pops to take home, and came across the cutest Jurassic World one (shown below) that I just needed to buy. I also discovered a beautiful Elvis Funko, but that one I decided to hold off on for now. My husband bought a Mewtwo Funko as well (not shown). Most of the Funkos were in really good condition. There was a Stranger Things Funko that I really wanted but alas the previous owner had damaged the box. From a collector's standpoint, the prices are fair. Of course this location had other collectibles and items for sale, such as clothes, records, and whatnot. I've got plenty of records at home and only want to purchase very specific records these days, so I didn't really bother to look in their record aisles. The staff were friendly and chill. I will definitely return to check for more Funko Pops in the near future!

Very frustrating, as I don't know the number of any of the people who work there! I just wanted to know if they would take donations of records, books and magazines. Being Cal's books, that's kind of a Facepalm question, I know, but I just wanted to get a real person on the line, and am unable to do so. Selection: absolutely Prices: Not bad at all Location: Not the best, but I'm use to going there, so no big Service: Meh - I'm not expecting people to fall all over themselves for me, but when I can't even get someone on the line after numerous calls makes me wonder if there isn't room for improvement in that area.

Even more refreshing, Cal's has a progressive, queer-friendly vibe--something of a rarity in Redding these days. Some used bookstores really blow your mind. Cal's is one of them. The shop has served the Redding area since 1974! The power of the used bookstore, my friends. Incredible. There need to be more spaces like this--open, welcoming, somewhere to expand your mind. It's especially important these days. And most especially in places like Redding. Give Cal's all your money!!

I remember as a kid I was an avid reader, but for some reason I thought comic books were really lame…read morebecause they weren't real books. They were just pictures with a few words and wasn't even close to what I was doing knocking out multiple books in a week. Sometime in my 30s though that all changed. As I got older,I came to appreciate the high quality of the medium,in regards to being able to have such complex stories work with such high quality artwork. So I started collecting comics and became a frequent customer to A-1 Comics in Roseville located on Sunrise Avenue. The top two things I love about this location are as follows. -Their employees really give excellent customer service. They are very helpful in assisting the customers in finding whatever they are looking for. A-1 has two other locations in the Sacramento area and multiple times I've been in Roseville and they were sold out of what I was looking for and they took it upon themselves to call their other locations to check if they had what I wanted-that's excellent customer service. -Second thing that truly stands out for me about A-1 is they aren't cheap on inventory-every week when new releases come out, they always have plenty of copies so that as many customers as possible have a good opportunity to get the issues they want-not all comic shops do this-others keep such limited inventory that they sell out too fast-A-1 rarely lets that happen. This Roseville location pretty much has its own parking lot,so there's always has plenty of parking available for its customers. In closing, I really do recommend this shop for all your comic needs-it's a pretty awesome place filled with pretty awesome employees and I always look forward to heading back out there.
