This is a hole in the wall but definitely authentically delicious! Everything is homemade. The chicken dish didn't taste as fresh as I would've liked, but im was very impressed by the freshness of the falafel. Probably the best I've ever had. The pita was good but not the shwaest I've ever tasted. Great service though.

Nice to see there are middle eastern options in Greenville. Food taste great, falafel taste fresh and not hard and dry like some I had before. Shish kafta is very well season but smaller than I expected I would give them more stars if their portion is bigger. Reason I said that is Detroit has a lot of Arabic restaurants but their portion is usually 1.5/2 serving for the same price and that's what I am used to.

It was good and service was nice in a clean, spacious place. I enjoy the food and selection.

I had the chicken shawarma and it was delish. I was kinda sad that the hummus was plain with no other flavor options and the pita bread was cold. The salad was great. The baklava was ok, overly syrupy/sweet and the coconut pineapple cake was not to my liking, it was moist like a tres leches cake. The lemonade tasted like it was from a plastic jug (I ordered without mint.) The clerk was super courteous and she allowed me to replace it. The cafe is clean and spacious with a nice piano there. Relaxed atmosphere. I'd go Again if I'm the area but I wouldn't make a special trip out of my way.

The place is uniquely decorated with colorful paintings and furniture that create a very bright atmosphere. There's also lots of windows and natural light and pretty music playing in the background. The place feels clean and open. The atmosphere is very nice Bathroom was not too clean when I went to wash my hands. I would've been sad if I'd had to use it. Wait time was surprisingly long (and my table was the only one in the restaurant) but it's probably not normally that slow because our waiter apologized for it a lot. The food was great! They have rice plates, sandwiches, and more. I had the gyro plate entree with falafel and baba ghabouj as sides and I loved it. I personally would recommend hummus over the baba ghabouj though. Our waitress was also very kind and friendly.

Fresh food, large indoor dining, and lots of variety. Bateeni Mediterranean Grill is one of the popular spot, and you'll want to check their busy times because it get packed with people. The deli cases have fresh foods prepared daily that you can order for dine-in or to-go. Hummus is a garlic delight, and the chicken kebabs / skewers are a perfect complement (the white creamy mixture on your plate is garlic, and it's unbelievably good). The indoor spacious seating is nice, and the tables are spread apart, so you can enjoy your meal. Parking is in a small lot or shared with other businesses. Once again, be sure to check the busy times, or you may be spending time trying to find a place to park. High-quality food, great customer service, and fresh food ... This is a great place to go! For my appetizer, I had Falafel, which is deep-fried ground chickpeas with parsley, onion, and bell pepper. For my entrees, I had Chicken Kabob and Mediterranean Salad. The salad is freshly chopped vegetables, olive feta cheese, olive oil topped with house dressing. For my drink, I had a fresh lemonade with mint.

Large parking lot as the building sits in the front of a strip mall. Staff was very friendly. Service was very good but it was (maybe) 20% full on a Saturday night at 630. Marrakesh claims to be Mediterranean and they are somewhat correct. I consider Greek, Turkish, Italian to be more Mediterranean. OK, I'll give you Moroccan,, but no way Indian. India is in Asia. ( I know this sounds a little like bragging but I've eaten at many Greek & Turkish restaurants in my lifetime (high end to little, casual cafes), so for those who gave it 5 stars...they probably gave the Olive Garden 5 stars too) The menu is not big and has items from all the cuisines I mentioned above ( except Italy of course) The FOOD.... Apps --The Hummus was just pretty good. but the pita they served was dry like "store-bought". --The Grape Leaves (Rolled grape leaves stuffed with ground beef, parsley, and rice) were just OK too. --The Spanokopita; ( a Greek dish) a mixture of cooked spinach, feta cheese, and onion wrapped in phyllo dough.. was very good. Entrees --The Lamb Chops ( you get 4 of them) are the best bet here. Served with rice or salad. It may be the most expensive dish on the menu but well worth it. ( I did find it odd the server never asked how we wanted it cooked but they were juicy and delish) --I had the Three Meat Combo and choose three items: Chicken Tawook, Lamb, and Sheesh, served with rice and salad. All the meats were very dry. --Maqluba (Mediterranean rice casserole with a special blend of spices, chicken, cauliflower, carrots, and potatoes, served with salad) was tried by a few at our table. It's a huge portion of rice with stuff in it (it was very inexpensive at $16 but then again it was mostly rice) There was an item on the menu ( stuffed Cornish game hen) but they were sold out by 630pm on a Saturday night (odd). Desserts I found it odd that the menu only lists 2 desserts, yet when I asked there were approximately 5 more, including the currently popular Dubai chocolate cake or ice cream ( I forgot which but wish I chose it.) I'm glad I asked because our server never mentioned any specials. Warning: do NOT order the baklava. It was as dry as sand. Worst I ever had and I've had many. All in all the locals surely will like it because it is different and I doubt it has much competition. But if you are visiting and eat this type of food a lot back where you're from, buyer beware.

Howeverrr, I finally made it here and wow! Marrakesh quickly became one of my favorite places in Jacksonville. I dined here with some girlfriends for a Christmas gift exchange and we had a table in the back, tucked away from the hustle and bustle and I thought the privacy we got was so nice. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the full bar in the center of the dining room is so aesthetically pleasing. We started with the falafels which were so good and the labneh with pita bread which was even better, definitely my favorite appetizer of the night. I kept going back for more. I am usually a gyro girly but for my entree, I did the three meat platter (chicken tawook, sheesh and shawarma) with the yellow rice and cucumber salad. UGH, I am salivating as I write this. Everything was delicious but the tawook was hands down my favorite protein of the three. Reagan was our server and she is so sweet! She really knows how to take care of you. I can't wait to bring my husband!

This dressing gave the rice a nice zest! I found the dolmades to be refreshing on a warm summer day. I think it's a nice to have in place of a side salad, or it could be shared with others, as an appetizer. I've eaten here about once a week and it's always a pleasure coming here. Most of the time, I've been on the run and wasn't able to eat in the dining area. My food is always ready, if I call it in, and it arrives quickly, if I place the order in-house. Overall, food is not pretentious, it seems like real food, flavorful, and the Greek entrees are delicately seasoned. I really love the moussaka! It's elegant, and the bechamel top layer isn't too heavy, even on a hot summer day in Greenville. It's a beautiful layered entree featuring eggplant, a seasoned meat layer, finally topped with an egg enriched bechamel sauce. I could eat their eggplant everyday, whether it's in the pita, or in a lovely slice of moussaka. I've tried the pastitsio, another layered Greek entree topped with bechamel, and I do like it, but it's not the moussaka, to me; I lean towards the eggplant. The rows of pasta in the pastitsio do make a pretty presentation. I have not had anything here, that I didn't like. The meat in the souvlaki and the Athenian chicken is always tender and moist. The salads have been fresh and the dressings bright and flavorful. The falafel and battered fish have both been moist and delicate, expertly fried. The pita bread is warm, consistently grilled. I love their creamy potato salad, it reminds me of homemade by someone's Grandmother. The staff is patient, pleasant, and provide great service; they have never forgotten dressings, or extra napkins, on my take-out. My food stays warm on the drive home. My orders have always been correct. The dining area has 2 sections, both are inviting and well lit with natural light from skylights and large windows. The decor is retro, and is feels authentically vintage; this restaurant has been in the same location for decades, since 1997. The natural wood grain of the interior tongue and groove wood was never painted, thankfully. This is one of the few Greenville restaurants, a keystone, that has been around for decades. It's an older landmark building in downtown Greenville. It's located next to the Greenville Museum of Art. Regular customers appreciate the team at Marathon.

We kept it simple and ordered the lamb gyro, seasoned fries, drink, and hummus appetizer. We just had waters, but they offer wine, beer, sodas, bottled water, and some other drinks. Fairly simple, but good size menu with plenty of options. There are plenty of seating options with tables, booths, and outdoor tables as well. While we were waiting and eating there were several to go orders. Steady flow of customers in and out. They also have a great music selection! After a short wait our delicious gyros arrived. The presentation was nothing flashy, but good. The fires were seasoned just right for me, but a little too salty for the wife. The gyros were as expected, delicious and a good size for us. The hummus plate was actually larger than expected, but a nice surprise. There was enough naan for sure. I did not take any pics this time. Overall experience was excellent honestly. We'll definitely eat here again. I recommend giving Olea Mediterranean Kitchen a try.
