They kept us informed every step of the way, and put our repair at the front of the queue to get our kids home to us. I cannot say enough good things about this shop. That turned out to accurate info, as the work on our vehicle was able to done right away -- Not having to wait was much appreciated, BUT, what really impressed me was that the "reminder" sticker placed on my front window, once the work was completed, indicated the next recommended oil change was listed at a 7500 mile interval. That is the number that our car manufacturer recommends, but my previous quick oil change location had always recommended it be changed at 3500 miles. I raised concerns about that number with employees of that establishment, but was given some B.S. corporate answer -- So if you are looking for GREAT and honest car service, I suggest you check out Smet'z, in Ashland (OH).

When the vehicle arrived, staff asked "did you make an appointment for this?" Yes, yes we did. It is obvious the staff was not well experienced with the vehicle we brought in and instead of saying it was out of their wheelhouse, they attempted a repair. The issue was NOT repaired. The mechanic replaced a brake line that was not leaking, was not the source of the leak, and had already been replaced recently. When driving home, the brakes failed. When we contacted the shop to let them know the leak was not fixed and that we checked and it is the same exact location of the issue we dropped it off for we were told yes they did repair it. It obviously broke somewhere else and the would look at it again but would not comp us any of the previous WRONG repair or any work toward the new repair. I understand they took time to work on the vehicle, however they didn't repair the problem and then tried to tell us they did! From now on, I will take pictures of the problem before hand so I can prove it was not fixed. We have used this shop in the past with no issue, but this experience was SO bad we will never use them again.

"I won't take my truck anywhere else in Ohio. BEST prices." So, two referrals. I wander down some county road, past farms, hills, dales, hollers... There can't be a business this far back in the sticks... Hey. Wait. There's a bunch of cars. "Primitive." "Rustic." "Homespun." All these would be too fine, in their description. "Musty," perhaps. "Unpaved," certainly. "I'm sure glad my wife isn't here to see this," naturally. But the folks are nice, they put me about sixth on the list of repairs, and I take a seat in the waiting room. Two hours later, the mechanic comes out. "We couldn't save that tire, so we put on a used tire. There's no charge." Ass sphincter says what? No, really what do I owe you? "Nothing. We just put a used tire on there. Holy familial inbreeding. Now THAT is unusual. Guy from out of town, probably never see him again, and you toss him a comp? Now, I can die a happy man. I set an appointment as I heard it was the fastest way to get in and out and it took about 30 minuets from the time I got there till I was done. Very friendly people. The only downside is trying to call them to set an appointment. You can't get through on the phone at least I couldn't. Tires are of good quality and no problems with them.
