I was going to give this BBW a lower rating, however the lady (dag I forgot her name I think it was Nia or something short like that redeemed herself). Anyway, we go into BBW in forest hills to get some items. We meet Tiffany she is absolutely delightful. She helps us out & tells us about a sale they have going on & shows us all the items we can purchase for the sale price. I won't go into the long story because at the end thankfully we bought more stuff and interacted with Nia again and she helped us the way she was supposed to the first time. The ladies who work here are welcoming and helpful. One lady brought me a basket to help carry the candles that I was buying for a friend. I walk in with a couple of my friends in dire need of uplifting vibes. We walked in and sniffed each item to see if it brought us joy. The presentation inside here is beautiful. There are so many different hand sanitizers, lotions, body sprays, and just so many hues and scents. A sink is available to wash your hands and testers to try each of the aromas. Almost spent like half an hour just looking at each item and seeing what we liked. We weren't rushed at all. :) I really feel that I came in with a bad mood and left with an amazing sunny feeling. I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop by for some hand soaps. There was a special promotion going on for hand soaps (4 for $20, or 6 for $26). Well, there was a sale going on for pretty much everything, and even though I still had a couple of extra bottles at home, I just had to check it out. I walked in thinking that I wouldn't be able to find any of the scents I liked, and walked out with a ton of hand soap, a happy heart but an empty wallet jk. But the shopping basket was really heavy! Ended up getting 6 bottles of hand soap, a candle (even though I didn't need it), and one of those pocket bacs for hand sanitizers. I swear Bath & Body Works be a trap, but it's a trap I'm willing to fall into XD Oh and hands up for the staff and the service! As soon as you walk in you are transported to a secret wonderland filled with smell goods and delectable aromas. BBW is my happy place, my sanctuary if you will. Every single time I come I spend no less than $30. There's always a special going on. Whether it be buy two, get one free or buy three, and get two free. I could of sworn I've written a review for Bath & Body Works on Austin street years ago... but here another one. So my wife and I went on a hand sanitizer run, not just for ourselves but for our son's class. His pre-k class ask families to donate hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, paper towels and tissues. So we went to nearly every drug store in our neighborhood, hand sanitizers were sold out everywhere. We walked into Bath and Body just to wash our hands and then noticed they sell travel size hand sanitizers. Not ideal for a classroom of kids because they run through fast but we got it for our son. It's a neat and cute and it attaches to my son's backpack just fine. I also sampled some of their lotions, pretty darn excellent for dry skin. It didn't leave a sticky residue. read more

I must say, the customer service in this location has always been exceptional. I have the best customer service here. More than any high end department store, or small mom and pop business. My boyfriend has even made a comment about the employees. If we were to open a business, and look for people to hire, the first place we would run to is this location. I came here to make an exchange. The staff is excellent at multi-tasking, and eager to help without being completely on top of you. The cashiers seem happy to be there, and happy to help you find the best deals possible. They seem to have a lot of sales. My review is for customer service at this specific location. I've contemplated in the past to review this store, and always felt like meh! Not worth it. But probably my recent encounter with a staff member at this store was like a cup that runneth over. It's a real shame that kids now a days don't appreciate being given the opportunity to work and make money of their own. Customer service at this store is 50/50. I never really know what type of attitude I will be getting on the day by a worker in there. For the most part, the workers at the front I've encountered, have been helpful, but then there's who's ever at the register. I'm assuming they alternate posts on some days? but for some reason more often than not, who's ever at the register are the ones that always look bothered and interacting with them is almost always a negative experience. It has been years since I have trekked to a B&BW store and the products and company's direction has greatly changed to adapt to the 2000s era. Customer service is on point with sales associates ready, willing and able to meet and greet acknowledging patrons and informing of sales. I was acknowledged with smiles, warm welcoming respectful demur and well informed of their products. I saw staff faces and smiles my entire visit which is immensely refreshing and brings optimism. There are less testers than I remembered my past visit nearly a decade ago. There are also less options for body butter. Winter has greatly damaged my skin to constant dryness that I needed a visit to attain skin lotion. For medicated non-scented skin lotion, do not visit Bath & Body Works as their lotions are extremely watery, diluted, greasy and does not absorb into the skin. I was hoping for aloe vera or vitamin E non-scented body butter, but I've come to the realization my specific needs require a pharmacy. For the sensitive allergic Bath & Body Works store is not for you as you enter the strong stench of scented hand sanitizers, scented candles, lotions, etc are all overwhelming. I did not know hand sanitizers has evolved into a prosperous business with scents and vivid colors. What piqued my attention was the aromatherapy area of bath gel as I needed something for stress relief to achieve a phlegmatic disposition. I yearned for eternal phlegmatic. While browsing their various products one sales associate I've encountered expressed good news that their aromatherapy was 50% discounted for a sale. I was not going to miss a sale opportunity for a bath gel. read more

Ms.Vannessa at forest hills location at bath and body is excellent. Patient ,educated in the products, friendly and her energy is just fantastic. I live minutes away and shop there only because she is at that location. The staff also is pretty well but I must say Ms Vanessa is the best decision that Bath and body hired and I hope she stays there and she grows with the company and she gets a great bonus because she goes beyond customer service. 5-stars cuz I love more sophisticated scents as I enter this newly renovated location. Not the sweet scents that are highlighted during other times of the year. I am surprised to see and smell another new batch of candles. Scents highlighting flannel, winter, cocoa, balsam, maple pecan, etc. Products are organized by scent. Candles and home in another section. "Test me" items for you to sample, are situated near center of each shelf or display. I absolutely love the clean and bright redesign. read more

I like this Bath & Body Works. The sales people are always friendly and helpful. They have many great smellin' products to choose from and decent sales. However, I'm removing a couple of stars because of something that happened during my visit yesterday. After I'd made my purchase and paid with cash, not credit or debit card but cash (I have to stress this. You'll see why), I was then told to "press yes" on the screen. Pressing "yes" allows them to use your personal info for "marketing" purposes. The cashier also asked for a phone number. Way more often than not, companies who do this sell your personal info to companies who then bombard you with scam calls. Fortunately there are ways to stop this (National Do Not Call Registry and call blocking, etc.) but some companies find a way around it. Hopefully, B&BW as well as other stores that do this nefarious practice cut this crap. Raving about my excellent customer service experience yesterday. I didn't get her name but she was extremely pleasant, very helpful and just wonderful. She worked yesterday 10/25 at around 2-3pm at the Forest Hills store. She was an older lady not a younger employee, she is roughly in her 50-60's. Here's the deal- I'm really a fan of Molton Brown hand soap and lotion. That said, I still shop around, sniffing and slathering if I suspect a product might be worthy. I'm dismissive of most of the concoctions I come across, but the Vanilla products here are OK. They're not Annick Goutal Vanille Exquise but they work well when I want to layer my fragrance. Don't order and Candles from Bath and beyond because when they shipping it's broken they do not cover their candles with bubble wrap they just put it in a box as is we spent too much money on these candles to not get a proper items correctly. I went into this Bath and Body Works looking for a product in one of the lines Bath and Body Works carries. Even though they have their own products, they carry secondary lines such as Dr. Wexler, C.O.Bigelow, and Frederick Fekkai. Unfortunately, this location only carries the aforementioned and none of the others found on the company website or the flagship store in Manhattan (hence the 3 stars). Staff is friendly and helpful. Of course, as with every B&BW, there are testers so you can sample the products as well as a sink so you can wash off said products. They always have a promotion or a few running as well coupons which can be found online or receive via email/mail. Today I had a coupon for $10 off of a $30 purchased and if you purchased $40 of merchandise, you could purchase their VIP bag (filled with goodies) for $15. Semi annual sales are the only times you will catch me in any bath& body works. I was coming from the gym and saw the famous semi annual sale sign outside and stopped in. I picked up a few hand soaps and wall air freshners that I love. It's usually crowded during these sales but I truly understand and tend to be more patient. The staff are always friendly and helpful but the best part is the deals you get during the sales. This store, despite the sleek update of their formerly funky middle-America Ohio gingham and lace image, gets my vote. They always had an excellent bath skin care line, and, unlike Body Shop, they tend to out-cycle product lines and fragrances less frequently. So, if I want, the same fragrance I used 5 years ago, chances are good it is still available today. Harry Slatkin is B&BW's fragrance master. It now seems their Slatkin & Co. candles are a good value. I was pointed in the direction of a few I like. When I asked a question, I was told by the (very professional) associate on the floor, to just wait until the holidays, and a scent just like the one you are asking for-like a Vanilla Sugar Cookie-is likely to appear then (but just FOR the holidays). I have tried their hair care line over the years, but my hair needs the really big guns, so I can tell you it is no match for salon products; but then, neither is The Body Shop (anymore). But a smart yelper knows when they can use a product that is not the main specialty of the store, and when it just doesn't do the job. read more
