One sales associate eventually helped me after finishing with another customer, which I appreciated. However, two other associates behind the counter did not acknowledge me at all. What made the situation particularly concerning was that when white customers entered the store, they were immediately greeted and assisted. As a Black customer, the difference in treatment felt noticeable and uncomfortable. At a brand like Diptyque--where customer experience is part of the product--this kind of disparity is unacceptable. I've visited Diptyque locations in multiple countries and have never experienced this level of disregard. This visit felt dismissive and unwelcoming, and it has significantly changed my perception of this location.

I understand that you may only have one employee sometimes and need to close for break. But first, your handwritten sign is unprofessional. Have something professionally printed - you can afford it. Second, 30 minutes from when?? Stating an arbitrary number of minutes does not tell your customers when to expect your return. Do you really think it serves your customers well to not know if you are returning in 2 minutes or 30? I did not wait and will take my business elsewhere.
