8/20/22 The Bath & Body Works I went to if it wasn't at Montgomery Mall. This Bath & Body Works is near the huge children's play pin and where Santa & The Easter Bunny picture taking would be. Since the mall is now at about 70% closed, this store is still going strong for now. Like the few and the proud store's still sticking it out, Bath & Body Works is one of these stores. The manager of the store appears to be of Hispanic decent. I heard her tell one of her employees work on his Spanish. Giving off the impression she wants all of her employees to speak her native language. I think this because of the tone in her voice to her employees. The employees were mostly Hispanic, but them seemed to be in good spirits. Until I started talking to one of them. Then I saw a different side to one of them. It seemed the standard level of civility begins and ends with ringing people up. Anything else is the middle finger. I wonder if the last guest she had helped was still on her mind, because her, another employee and the manager were at the cash register trying to help the female guest. Mmm, I guess I will chalk this up to a one time fluke. I ended up buying 5 hand sanitizers for $8 bucks. I like mixing these hand sanitizers with my non-scented hand sanitizer. My current hand sanitizer is now a light Teal color. I use these small bottles of hand sanitizer to turn a 8oz bottle of hand sanitizer in to whatever color and smell of the small Bath and Body Works sanitizer bottles I buy. This comes in handy for my job. Hope this store doesn't close this year.i would like to revisit this store one more time at least. read more

I am not quite sure why this location has such bad reviews; maybe I got lucky when I went over the weekend. I missed the $5 candle sale but I was able to go for the 5 for $23 soaps. The store isn't as jammed packed as other B&BW locations; they didn't have the lemon kitchen soap and other scents. They primarily have the white barn selection only at this location. The staff was super friendly and helpful, so that's a bonus. I heard this mall is closing soon so something to keep in mind when you visit this location. read more

With about a week left until Christmas, we headed to Lakeforest Mall to pick up a few items. We went to Bath & Body Works to buy scented lotions. About 4-5 employees were gathered near the entrance, talking amongst themselves. No one greeted us. There were multiple patrons in the store and I did not see any of them being helped. From my experience at other Bath & Body Works stores, the staff would come to greet you and see if you needed assistance or a shopping bag to put your shopping items in. NOPE, not this store, not that day, didn't find that here. After seeing a sign stating buy 3 get 3 free, I was sold and walked to the entrance to get a shopping bag, the 4-5 staff members were still chit chatting amongst themselves, and still no one spoke. After smelling about 20 tester scents, we picked the 6 scents that we liked and headed to the counter. As we were purchasing the items, the cashier asked if anyone helped us, I said "No, and as a matter of fact, no one even greeted us", she said "okay". We didn't receive an apology or anything. It's a shame with all of the stores closing in that mall, you would think customer service would be on point. But, on a positive note, the store was clean and organized. Hence, the 2 stars. With all that being said, if you are looking for a more self service store with No Customer Service, this store is for you. read more

I went in to return some unopened, unused items I ordered a few months prior online because I realized I would never get to using them all (these items were/are still being sold, not discontinued). The employee was very polite and answered my question regarding whether they automatically destroy returned items. They do not if the items are clearly unopened and unused--these items go back on the shelves to be resold. This is important to me as I find it incredibly wasteful that many large chains these days destroy perfectly good, new merchandise when returned. The employee then carried out my return with the order confirmations since I did not have the original invoices--this was confirmed as okay based on company policy when I called the customer service line before making the visit to this store. Overall, customer service was fantastic. The employee that assisted me carried out the returns efficiently and did not make it feel like a burden. I understand customer service varies by who is working on whatever day, but I felt compelled enough to leave this review for the great service I received today. read more

I have frequented this store in the past with good experiences, so yesterday was a bit of a shock. The 2 star rating is reflective of the two employees, Amber and Shoaboda (not sure of the spelling there, sorry). I went in specifically to take advantage of the last day of the buy 2, get 2 free aromatherapy products. Amber and Shoaboda were busy chatting together at the front of the store, but did ask if I need any help. There were no other customers. When I asked Amber where the products were that were part of the buy 2, get 2 sale, she flatly said the sale was over. Shoaboda agreed, and said that if I was getting my info from RetailMeNot, that it was wrong. Even though the B&BW flyer I was emailed clearly showed the sale went through 9/21/17, I didn't want to argue with them anymore at this point, and decided to purchase 5 Wallflowers at the 5 for $23 price. I had a paper coupon in my purse for a free item up to a $14 value with a $10 purchase. When I went to check out, Shoaboda reluctantly pulled herself away from her personal phone call (on the store phone), and proceeded to tell me that my coupon was expired. Amber suddently appeared and also said it was expired, all the while apparently scrolling through the list of sales and specials on her phone in order to prove to me that the deal on my coupon was no longer good. When I asked Shoaboda to scan my coupon to see if it would work and she said that it would, but said they "would get in trouble", I had had enough. I told them I felt they were doing nothing to help, and that in the past, I had always been assisted with utilizing coupons and special deals. Amber hastily told Shoaboda to go ahead and scan my coupon "this time" and proceeded to walk away. I concluded my purchase in icy silence with Shoaboda. Message to you two ladies: If you don't like your job, get another one. And never, EVER again tell a customer a sale is over when it is not. Really suspicious behavior there. read more

I went in to the bath and body work in this location I wanted exchange something I bought few days ago the manager the black lady literally tell me no you can't with a bad attitude And also very bad customer service not even that you guys know there always some special discounts so I wanted to use a coupon to buy something else the manager tells me that I can't use it it's expired so I've decided to call other locations s ask them they told me I can use it.
