Although the store clerk, Ada, was very attentive to me and enthusiastic about the products, she was not candid when I asked her why some candles in the classic 22-ounce glass jars had white labels on the bottom while other jars had white labels. She replied that she had been told what the tan labels meant but could never remember and therefore could not tell me. Two days later, while I was at another Yankee Candle outlet store, an HONEST store clerk told me that the tan labels designate IRREGULAR candles. It is a serious violation of state consumer-protection laws to misrepresent whether merchandise is irregular or second-quality. For this, I am deducting two stars from what would have been a five-star rating.
