Le Labo Georgetown was a disappointing experience. I stopped in to purchase a new fragrance, but the two sales associates were engaged in a personal conversation. I wasn't asked if I needed help, offered any recommendations, or guided through the fragrances--which is a big part of the Le Labo experience. Customer service felt inattentive and unprofessional. Shaquana is probably the BEST sales rep I have ever came across in my experience of retail shopping. She was very welcoming, personable, and patient while I smelled each fragrance all while being indecisive on which fragrance I really liked. She has a great personality that makes you want to spend your money. That for me is an A++ in my book. read more

You can smell this amazing experience from down the street! Follow your nose and step inside a slice of heaven. The staff was very friendly and helpful with picking out a scent selection! We literally drove out to DC to visit Le Labo since there are none in the city I live in. We went to the Georgetown location. We stopped in on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Both times we were greeted warmly and was able to shop around for as long as we wanted. The store smelled amazing as usual. This location is right in the middle of Georgetown and there's alot of other shops around. We had a great experience here and would visit this location in the future! read more

I usually get my Le Labo fix at Nordstromie, but I was in the area and decided to give the gtown location another chance. I've been once before and experienced the whole patronizing/condescending service from the ASSociates before so I was lowkey scared to go again in case I got yelled at, but honestly Kyle was so kind and personable from the beginning I felt like I was at Nordstrom. He was so thorough with everything and I ended up walking out with my long anticipated Thé Matcha bottle! It'll go great next to my Rose 31 and Kyle even got me to take note of the Neroli 36 (that's next on the list!) read more

I was a little scared from the reviews about this particular store and I'm glad I stopped by. The staff was warm, inviting and efficient in giving me a sniff of the perfumes as well as explaining them. Now the only questionable thing was the "private parking" situation... there's a lot nearby AND it's private but it's def not free. All good tho and worth a quick stop in. I hope they took the other reviews into consideration and simply upgraded the team as necessary cause the gal & gent that were there were explaining and spraying. Sales associates from hell. There really is no need to yell at people to not touch shelf products saying they have testers in the sink. Also when someone asks if they have samples at the store - no need to yell "7$!!!"either. We know the price, we ask if you carry them, thanks. Just don't be condescending when you try to sell products. Visitors will still come and bring you business, I guess. But to all my locals - go to Shaw location, cause Georgetown sucks. read more

I went for a refill of my current summer perfume. The sales associate who initially greeted me was very pleasant and wonderful, however, her associate was very rude-barking the price of a perfume I was asking if they carried, (the scent I liked was in candle form, I wondered if it was also in a perfume) then threw some kind of liquid on the floor from behind the counter in front of me. Mind you, a perfume was already being mixed for me, my purchasing was a forgone conclusion. It's a mixed customer service situation, choose the friendly face. Bri was outstanding, and took great care of me! The thick accented lady was horrid, and I nearly calmly told her so to her face. I wanted Bri to have a nice morning, so I didn't. read more

This was my first time coming to this store. I had a great time especially with RJ who showed us the ropes and was patience with us as we smelled many fragrances. I've previously had negative experiences at this location with unfriendly, condescending workers, but Christine and Glenn were engaging and kind. I walked into this Le Labo location excited to shop. I am a longtime fan of Le Labo's products and branding, and my home is full of their items as it is; it is not cheap but I thoroughly enjoy the products so to me it's worth it. We weren't greeted when we walked in, but I didn't think too much of it - I have worked retail and understand the fatigue that comes with it. It's hard, especially in a busy area. Things took a turn when I was admiring their display (not touching it, but rather looking from FEET away), and one of the two working sales associates *ran* across the store, got in my face, and reprimanded me at full volume. "MAAM THAT IS OUR DISPLAY IT IS NOT FOR YOU" she yelled. Everyone in the store turned and stared. I was deeply humiliated and all I'd done was stand there. I have never, in my life, been yelled at in a store -- let alone a luxury one. When I decided I was ready to check out, neither of the associates would help me. I stood there for ten minutes as they looked me up and down (I was dressed no differently than anyone else in the store), and instead of offering to complete my purchase, just stared at me. I abandoned my mission and left feeling utterly horrible about myself. What had started as an opportunity to treat myself turned into a degrading and painful experience. The behavior displayed by the sales associates was reprehensible and I am sad to say that I do not feel comfortable returning to this location. read more

One of the rudest and most condescending service people I've ever met, and immediately upon walking in. Left as quickly as I arrived, buying nothing. I had some very simple questions and instead of answering them or helping me, this French woman insulted me for asking what were apparently stupid questions--and this after not even greeting me when I walked in and said hello. She just stared at me without responding, and then rolled her eyes and motioned to me with a sort of "get on with it" thing. Didn't even bother to get up from the desk. Then told me "Le Labo" was French for "The Lab" in an arrogant tone, as if that was in any way relevant to our conversation (if you can call it that). I walked in yesterday to an uninviting "Hello". I ignored it because as someone who's worked retail in the past, I know how tiring it can be to constantly say hello in a welcoming voice. After the lackluster greeting, I approached one of the ladies in the store who was sitting behind the register and told her why I was in the store and kind of what I was looking for. She looked me up and down and said "the unisex fragrances are over there, get to sniffing". I was taken aback. I thought she was joking, but there wasn't a smile or laugh in sight. Instead of leaving, I went to the area to see if I could find something I liked. The entire time I'm over there, the second lady working in the store never addressed me. I will say she was going above and beyond helping the gentleman standing next to me. She explained the notes of the fragrances, the best use for each fragrance, and so forth, but never asked if she could explain anything to me or anything of the sorts. At this point, I'm feeling out of place. I decided to just gather the confidence to ask for help. As I was about to ask the lady behind the counter for some assistance, she quickly jumped out and told the second lady that she was going to the back for a bit. She never looked my way, in fact she put her head down and hurried behind the employees only door. Never will I ever step foot in this location again! They need to hire new employees that make customers feel welcome and ready to spend their hard earned money. Do better! read more

Idk who the two girls working today 4/292023 @4:30 pm but I was in there with my girls friend and her friend and there was a handful of people in there, but these two bimbos basically did nothing but stand behind the counter (fat one was on her phone the entire time) and the one with clown make just got upset at people for trying to smell things and yelled at them saying these are new not samples like the people are supposed to know I've had better help in bath and body works with scents and sampling then these to monkeys ooo Oo ahhh ahh these two reps belong at the national zoo couple blocks down read more

The young lady who works at the Shaw location (Inya?), was patient and helpful when my daughter and I patronized the shop. I had no idea what I wanted, and she provided many options. I wound up purchasing something for both of us, and will patronize in the future. read more

I purchased an expensive diffuser and it stopped working within a month. I returned it to Le Labo and they sent it away to get fixed, which turned into three months before I got it back. Within a day, it stopped working again. The saleswomen were not helpful at all. Now I have a useless diffuser. read more

Glenn, at the Georgetown location, is an angel. I initially spoke with him on the phone to discuss a concern re: a recent purchase, and he listened intently and offered that I come to the store to discuss. I came in later that day, and he presented a few thoughtful options (and he led me to my now new favorite scent). As he was assisting me, he also warmly greeted all other patrons. I just bought a few items from here today. One item was out of stock (no biggie) The staff was efficient (the lady was informative, the guy gave me flashbacks from Barney's ) and professional, but didn't leave me feeling like I had a wonderful shopping experience. I'll stick with buying this brand from Nordstrom, as the sales professionals there are extremely engaging, go the extra mile in talking about the products (which results in the customer actually making a purchase) and give samples too. read more

I went in prepared to spend quite a lot of $$$ and the woman behind the counter was so unsmiling and off-putting I just left. She did not have retail-friendly demeanor. My plan was to buy a gift for a friend of a big bottle of Santall 33, but will now purchase online from another source, which is a shame, because as a Georgetowner I want to support local businesses. I had a good experience at this store. The first visit was just to get a gift, and the second to get a gift for myself! The lady at the counter was polite and friendly and answered all my questions. Iza did my mixing and while she didn't interact with the customers at all, just with her counterpart who did talk with me, she did a good job making Another 13 and Thé Noir for me. It is recommended that you let the fragrance sit for a couple of days before using it to let the ingredients mix thoroughly. It is a relatively small space in this location and I wish it was more cozy like with the addition of leather chairs or something to add to the vibe. There is also a paid parking space in the same block so that helped get me in and out of Georgetown quickly. read more
