Crose Nest made GORGEOUS spice blend vials for the favors at my wedding. We chose Black Lava Salt and a golden Mesquite seasoning, and Kinsey (the lovely owner of Crose Nest) layered them in glass vials, creating beautiful landscapes. You can choose from SO many spices, or create teas, bath blends, etc - so many options for cooking, drinking, and pampering! Kinsey put each vial in a beautiful linen drawstring bag, and hand-stamped our custom wedding stamp on the front of each one. Our guests were delighted by these favors. I can't recommend this service from Crose Nest enough!

Last visit, they had assorted small candles starting at $1, medium candle jars were $12 (2 for $20), and large candle jars were $15 (2 for $25). When I know I'm having company over at my place, I will purchase some scented candles as well as some air fresheners to make my home smell very nice and inviting. So I loved my basket of six large candles to the supposedly open register, and I told her I had a coupon, she told me rudely that the wood wick are not included without even looking at the coupon. She told me that she doesn't have to read the coupons to know what it said. So I did not want to argue, I told her I would put back the wood wick ones and get three more of the regular ones. She offer did to put them back, but what really got to me was as she was putting back the wood wick ones back, she made a very unprofessional comment saying that" people like me had no respect for people working at the place and always made a complete mess of the shelves". Ymittos Candles is truly an old school business that has been hand crafting candles the same way…read morefor over 100 years. Talk about being authentic! they make hand dipped taper candles which have been primarily used in churches across the country, however these superb candles work just as good in your home or at your business. Recently they have been making lots of candles for use in movies and on TV. If you visit them you will find out that their products were used in Pirate of the Caribbean movies and the Lincoln movies. TV shows include Turn and Salem. Anyway, a visit there is always welcomed even if it is kind of "rustic " looking. They are helpful, and it is cool seeing how candles are made. I recommend the 100% Beeswax candles (they smell great), I have also purchased pillar candles that seem to burn forever. This is a hidden Gem in Lowell, and a place I used to visit often when I lived in Boston. A One of a kind find.

I love this shop! I've been in a few times to browse their crystal selection and left with a…read morehandful of goodies. All of the staff are kind and thoughtful. For COVID, customers must wear a mask inside. Most recently, I had a reiki massage with Angela and she was wonderful. I felt safe, comfortable and relaxed. This was my first session with reiki, but one of many massages. Interestingly, during the appointment I felt like I usually do during a regular massage and thought I couldn't "feel" the reiki. After getting up and walking outside, I was washed over with a sense of calm and almost buzzing like feeling. I hadn't felt like this after a massage before. Angela advised to drink lots of water and eat clean to help the energy flow through. I went home, meditated, ate a clean dinner, and slept soundly that night. Thank you! I will definitely be going back for general browsing but also reiki sessions :)

The vibe in this store has changed. It used to be fun shopping, but no longer. The end caps are…read moreuninteresting and the prices are crazy high. Latest visit, a few days ago, had a line of customers with one register open. There were 4 employees all trying to troubleshoot an issue at one register. When one of them finally looked up, she attempted to sign onto a second register, unsuccessfully. One of the first group went over and they ultimately discovered the caps lock was on, which was preventing the sign on. When we finally got to the register and were ready to check out, the cashier was asking for phone number and name. We were not interested in joining the club but the cashier explained if anything needed to be returned, this info was needed. Fine, the phone and first name was provided, then she proceeded to ask for last name and address. I spoke up and asked why this info was also needed? She said "well, it will be needed if you have to return something". We respectfully declined, turns out none if it is actually needed to make a purchase. Do they really have so many returned items it makes sense to get all that info at the time of purchase? or maybe, just maybe, this was also needed for future marketing? Also, the line was getting longer and little ones in line getting restless. This cashier clearly had trouble reading a room as no one wanted to wait as she attempted to secure additional personal information from each customer not already part of their program. I'll not likely return to this store.
