I usually have my go to Bath and Bodyworks store that I enjoy shopping at for gifts, and things that make this girl super happy! I was in the Arden arcade area, Of Sacramento, and decided to pop into Bath & body Works and check out a new store to me. I truly cannot say enough positive things about this location! From the moment I walked into the store, I was immediately greeted, and a smiley bubbly assistant asked me if I needed any help, or if I was looking for anything in particular. It was lovely to browse to the store and not have a store associate on my heels, begging to help me like I've experienced in some of the other locations. Everyone at this location, including the customers, we're all smiling and enjoying their shopping experience. It made me want to shop longer than I already had. The store is extremely well organized, very clean, and stocked! They really stay on top of keeping everything in what looks like perfect condition. The Halloween candles and other Halloween items of course pulled me in, and I have to say that they have a whole new vibe this year. Yes, it's only July and more and more retailers have Halloween items out already. The shopping experience is definitely an A++, and my only wish is that the team that was working today, along with the items that they have stocked were closer to my neck of the woods. This location has ample parking and the staff was rather pleasant, I like a shopping experience where the staff asks do you need help and leaves you alone lol and that's exactly what I got here. This is the nearest location to my house for candles and smell goods without the overwhelming crowds found at the mall. Though the scents alone upon walking in also aid in the overwhelming over stimulation of the nasal cavity. The parking lot to this location is shared with man other businesses and small/tight for the space they have to endure- as a result I have witnessed many close calls when it comes to parking and backing out. PRICE: 26.50 for a full priced candle. Currently $10 off. Twice a year they are half off. STAFF: Always kind, friendly and helpful. EXPERIENCE: I'm always greeted upon entering and asked about my shipping needs. They tell me about the specials and all that. I rated 3 stars because all bath and body works are the same. I bought a $25.00 scented candle today. The sales associate called me "girl" about three times. She rolled her eyes with hand gestures head gestures throughout the few moments she helped me select my candle. She kept saying "yessss giiiiiiiiiiirrrrll". I am Black! The sales associate is White. This made me so uncomfortable I could not muster the strength to tell her to stop. I came back to the store about 30minutes after my purchase and spoke to her manager. The sales associate should be more formal with all customers. She was so fucking offensive. I was wearing $2000 in Tiffany's and had gone to Bath And Body Works after a nice Brioche French Toast Breakfast from a nice restaurant near by... so I was not feeling this ridiculous employee practicing her stereotype on me while I'm buying myself a treat. The sales associate was so tacky and frumpy. I didn't deserve to be treated that way. I will be speaking to customer service on Monday. When Black people call customer service or speak with management we don't just do it for ourselves, the Black customer does this to ensure the next Black customer gets quality customer service with respect and appropriateness. During Black American Slavery, when White slave masters no longer considered us animals, they would refer to Black American adult servants as "girl" and "boy". 50 year old men would be called "boy" and 90 year old Black American women would be referred to as "girl". Blacks were called Girl and Boy because we were not considered equal to Whites. We were considered above subhuman and beneath human adult by White People. I WILL NOT BE CALLED GIRL FOR ANY REASON WHEN I AM BEING WAITED ON BY CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONELL AT ANY ESTABLISHMENT EVER! If I'm not mistaken, this is the same associate who called me "giiiiiiirrrlll" a while ago when I purchased from this location. If it wasn't her, it was a different White employee to refer to me as "giiiirrrrlll" about a year or so before the Black Lives Matter Riots as a matter of fact. This is why sales associates refer to customers as Ma'am' or Sir, to avoid disrespect or confusion. I bet she won't say that nonsense to another Black customer after this review. read more

I love, love, love! shopping at bath and body works especially if it's a sale I cannot pass up. Especially the semi annual sale. I've learned how to get the most bang for my buck when shopping here. I always use $10-$20 off coupons and only buy the items that are 75% off if you see items that are 50% off leave it and wait a week or two trust me you will thank me. Every time I come here I'm always in her for at least 30 mins trying the perfumes, body sprays and hand soaps. I have a field day in here. My only negative is that while I'm shopping there is always that one worker constantly asking if I need help! Heck no I don't need help I'm in this store so much that certain employee know me by name yes I shop in here that much..lol! I always tell myself I'm going to buy certain item and end up buying way more. It's a bad but good addiction I have. I want to give this location 5 stars but because of a few pushy staff I had to deduct 1 star. This store is tucked away in Lohman's plaza. It is usually a pretty quiet store but today it was packed with people trying to get hand sanitizer. I'm a sucker, which also equates to a marketer's dream come true - so this store gets me every time. Returns aren't my favorite thing to do...but this staff was more than accommodating and didn't make me feel like I was a criminal for returning something. Upon entering their store, I was greeted by their staff, told the new promo's and offered help with my return. The sweet guy went out of his way to give me a fair price (for my return with out a receipt). I absolutely love their 3-wick candles, especially when they are 2 for $20. I'm a sucker for sweet smells and a deal, so combine them and I'm the happiest customer you could ask for. You have no excuse for smelling bad, B&BW can cover up any smell ;) read more

A great place to find hand soaps, skin care, and all things that will make your home, office, car, or any place smelling heavenly! They have an array of scents, some that are there forever, and the seasonal specials!! This particular location is great because all the sales associates are very attentive and friendly. They'll answer any questions you may have, and are willing to go the extra mile to help you out and make you happy. My one complaint is that sometimes when you find a scent you like (I.E. FRESH PICKED PEARS!!), they may discontinue it..FOREVER *tear* I had to get my hands on the one thing they hand left, which was the hand lotion. My last complaint is sometimes you may find a smell that you may really enjoy and want it in a hand lotion, but they'll only have hand soap. Or if you want it as a hand soap, they'll only have it in antibacterial gel. COME ON BBW, just make each smell have it ALL (hand lotion, foaming hand wash, antibacterial gel) so that if we love something, we'll buy it ALL!!! But besides that, I love this place. I was delightfully pleased with the service that I received from Natasha who helped me pick out my hand soaps for my bathroom and kitchen. After we talked, I picked the "foaming" wash because it doesn't leave a bunch of product at the bottom of the container which you can't use, so to me, it's a waste. And that, is a waste! The staff at The Loahman's Plaza Bath & Body Works are always very helpful, easy to talk to and very friendly. Not like some places where the Sales Associates seem socially awkward and give you the feeling like they would rather be anywhere else. I like coming to this store because its laid back and always a pleasant experience each time I'm there. My favorite products are the foaming antibacterial hand soaps and yummy scented candles that last almost forever, it seems. Don't get me started on the great sales, its like they know exactly how to keep me coming back for more every season. If you haven't smelled any of the Fresh Picked line yet, you must immediately march yourself down to the store and give it a whiff or ten. The record is 5, one who shoved a candle in my face insisting I smell it. It was weird and the candle smelled like a vanilla candle threw up in a litterbox. Even though I tell myself I must resist I end up ignoring my inner bank teller at least twice a month... This store is clean and well stocked. I've never had to deal with more than 10 other people in the store with me and the sales associate. The sales girls are cheerful and pleasant but they do NOT hover or do that overly helpful thing and I love that! The smell is intoxicating and they're constantly adjusting which smell wraps its tentacles around your in the face when you come through the door.
