I found one item and wanted to ask the proprietor a question about another item in the other room, but she didn't acknowledge when I tried to make eye contact with her. So I walked around the store again to give them time to finish. I stood in their proximity again holding what I wanted to buy. Again I tried to make eye contact. Nothing again. No acknowledgement, so I left annoyed at her lack of professionalism and rudeness. I joined my friends in the store right next door (Olde Red Saltbox) and told them what happened. The owner of that store overheard me and angrily said " that's my daughter you're talking about!" I proceeded to tell her what happened at her daughter's store and she responded, " don't talk about my daughter like that . Get out of my store...now." as I left, my friends put down what they were going to purchase from the mother's store and followed me out. We will not be returning to either one of these stores in the future.

Prices are a little on the high end, but really no surprise considering it's location. Located in Mohegan Sun, it's a break from the gambling and all else to pay this place a visit.

It is always well stocked with a wide variety of fragrances and accessories. It is neat and clean. The employees are super friendly. Each customer is greeted when entering the store. If you are looking for something special, they are quick to help. The candles are packed nicely so you don't need to worry about them breaking. I continued my patronage when ownership changed last year...until today when picking up two bunches of flowers, one for birthday and one for Mother's Day. A very disappointing quantity and mix of colors. As an aside when ordering, they used to ask what colors and flowers you would like. This time I had to stop the guy...after he'd secure payment...before end of the call to specify my wife's favorite colors. Not the customer service I was used to from my go-to florist. The bouquet was so poor my wife's face fell when I brought her bouquet home. They look even more pitiful in the vase! I called the store to complain about the bouquet and they had bluntly no interest in remediating my concerns the day before Mother's Day, just that I could return the flowers for a refund. One could by a couple of bunches from the local supermarket for one third the price and be better served. This is no longer Hoelck's Flowers! Poor flowers, poor quality, poor customer service. You have options.

I spent about 5 minutes in the section sampling testers, growing increasingly frustrated by not knowing the differences between what I was trying. I looked several times for someone that I could see and ask for help but I could not see anyone. It's as if all the floor employees could not be bothered to even check in and see if I needed help. I don't know what kind of culture the management at this store promotes or if it had anything to do with me being a man (I can only assume whoever is in charge has an issue with all men over one man doing her wrong, I.e. ex-boyfriend type nonsense and now takes it out on any man) but I felt extremely unwelcome shopping as a man just looking for a gift at this store. It felt like I did not belong, nor was welcome at this store. I decided to go elsewhere to find my brother a gift after getting zero help.
