We used to love this place but it has gotten worse and worse every visit. Helena, the person who typically works the phone, is unprofessional and bad at managing communications. She asked me to email the updated shot records, which I did within 24 hours. Yet, when my roommate took Noodles in she was turned away for not having those records on file. I did not get a response to my follow up email. I had to call and have Helena look for the email on the specific day I sent it which she basically did. Now they won't even trim her face (the whole point of us getting her haircut). I get she's squirmy and afraid of everything but this is why we pay a hefty price for a haircut. She clearly didn't get a bath and makes you wonder if they've ever given her one in our previous visits. It's time for a new place, sadly read more

I take my chow chow to day care literally right next door.. and the owner suggested this place, but oh boy, am I glad she did!!!! It's been a challenge for me to find a place my chow chow will tolerate. I started at a fair age (puppy cuts) to get him used to salons, I've take him to 4 other salons.. and none of them were able to groom him like the way this place does. My dog's nails were dreamed & she was bathed and I am guessing her ears were cleaned. Word to the wise; whatever they either washed her with or used afterward is the most wretched smell ever. It's lika a cheap bus station bathroom, this scent... and really overwhelmingly strong. Had I known, we definitely would have asked for special no-smell stuff. This is bad. My puppy had his first grooming experience here, and he seemed pretty happy and satisfied after it! I decided to take him to Bath Brush & Beyond after reading the great reviews and I'd say they definitely deserve the 5 stars. The staff was really friendly and patient with me since I had to cancel my first appointment because of complications. The price is really affordable compared to a lot of other groomers! I also love that while my dog has to wait for me to come pick him up, he could play with the other dogs too. They gave him an adorable little bow tie, treats, and a small toy which he absolutely loves now. Needless to say, I'll definitely be coming back! When I picked him up you can hardly tell anything was done for him. As far as I can tell they just bathed him. His nails were still dirty and his ears were not cleaned. Decided to treat our fur babies to a SPAW day. We found this local business on Yelp in the federal way area. To first start off, they were able to take our two Frenchies in for a full grooming service on a short notice. The staff is super friendly, ecstatic, and welcoming. It took about 2 hours but what makes it convenient is that the location is only 5-8 mins away from shopping facilities and restaurants so you're able to kill some time while your dogs are in good hands. When we walked in to pick them up, our dogs looked so HAPPY and JOYFUL! They even even got dressed up in in a little bow for the girl and a camo bandanna for the boy... Thanks to Yelp, I found this place. I have a mutt, who is probably part terrier. I like him to look scruffy, not excessively "cute." He has a natural beach bum look that I don't want to lose. I hate to reveal my best kept secret by revealing my dog groomer. Shinobu is by far the best, perfectionistic dog groomer I have ever used. We live in Malibu and Tacoma and we wait as long as possible for Shinobu to do our baby girl, Lola, "Bug". I used to take my other Yorkie, Bella to her. Bella was very fragile and hated grooming so much she would shake all the way there and back, but never with Shinobu. Shinobu is very quiet and Zen like. She does not take her anger or frustration out on the dogs even when they are difficult to deal with. She just quietly moves on to other areas until they settle down. I made her give me her cell phone number in case she ever moves, which she did. Her prices are great, and she loves Yorkie's especially! read more

What an awesome Groomer . We heard that this was the place to come for your grooming needs. This is our 1st long haired dog. All of our other 8 pups are short haired. For them we do the baths and toes at home. We dropped off our little Oscar for a full grooming. We didn't know much about the grooming process. But the staff filled us in on all of it. I have been eyeing this place ever since I got my Mini Poodle! I was super nervous for Nala because she doesn't like water that much or new people. But when I came back to get her, she didn't want to leave! This establishment has such a calm atmosphere to it, so if you're worried about your pup being nervous, don't be! The groomers here are incredibly nice and also gave me some pointers about having such a high maintenance dog which was really appreciated. They also gave my pup a toy for her first grooming experience! Since then, I have came three more times, and each time, Nala's haircuts have been beautiful and consistent! They really listen to what you want for your pup and execute it perfectly. Nala also has issues with tears, but every time I go, they are almost completely gone and she's left looking SO clean. I personally like her curly, but they have to blow dry out her hair to get an exact cut. I don't mind - I just spray water on her afterwards. I would highly recommend either calling in advance or scheduling an appointment/walking in on a weekday - they are extremely busy and they are usually booked for weekends (SINCE THEY ARE SO GOOD!!) read more

I've brought my dog here once a month for a nail trim going on several years because they cost less than at Petco or Petsmart (whose grooming staff quality I generally don't trust). The staff here is always pleasant and they seem to be busy and doing a good job. I'm very picky when it comes to my dogs as I don't them to be returned to me abused or infested with something. Brought my 2 shiba inu dogs here yesterday for bath/grooming. Staff was pleasant & friendly & the location was pretty much simple to find. After about 2 1/2 hours, I picked up my shiba's and they looked impeccable and clean. The cost is reasonable considering what we used to pay for in Hawaii. I would definitely bring them back here for future grooming. read more

I thought it was a good place but the last two times I brought my dog in he refused to be left alone and I left him with a odd feeling thinking that they would take care of him but he came home with cuts, covered in loose fur so we had to bath him at home and they charged us for things that they didn't do such as cleaning his teeth. Bless this salon. I have a dog that is 11 and blind that screams and bites when she gets her nails cut. I am not able to take her where I have for the past 11 years and was so worried about finding a place that could do her nails. The folks at Bath Brush and Beyond really do take great care in their work and their clients. We were running late picking up our little guy one day, and as we walked in a few minutes after closing, we found all of the groomers on staff that day hanging out with, and completely doting on him! And of course, he was absolutely loving it! It was the greatest thing we could witness and hope for in our groomers. Much like the level of concern one has for the type of treatment their child or elderly parent is receiving when not in their care, we have the same for our little guy ... he is our "baby" after all. After seeing how much lovin's he was getting only confirmed for us how fantastic the folks are here. Also, being that we were totally at fault for being late, they didn't make us feel at fault at all. In sum, this place is fantastic! We are very pleased with their work and love that they treat our little guy like royalty. That and he comes out looking and smelling like a million bucks every time. That type of treatment for the price (as I'm told - since this is our first groomer experience), is unbeatable! They are absolutely great! We take our Big English Bulldog Otis to them. They always seem to be able to squeeze us into their busy schedule! Saturdays work best for us because we work all week. Otis is typically the bigger dog there. lol We give him baths at home around once a week. But they do a better job! We need to find out what they use on for shampoo or conditioner because his coat is so soft and smells so good after we leave there! Thank goodness for Yelp helping me find this place. As a new dog owner I had no idea where to turn. They do a great job! Typically includes bath and grooming for my dog - which includes ear cleaning, nail clipping, brushing. When we first got Otis he had major hotspots, itched like mad and was super smelly. We changed his diet and incorporated oatmeal dog bath shampoos less often and we have completely turned him around. Bath Brush and Beyond even mentioned that what ever we did they can notice a huge difference in his skin and coat with Otis. They remember their animal clients! They are awesome about call with a reminder the day before. And of course to pick up. Typically when they say it will be an hour it's less ;) way less. In the end for the pretty prissy dogs they typically get adorned with bows, etc. Not our Otis... he's far to manly for that! ha! Anyway two paws up for this place! read more

My dogs & I absolutely love it here!! The staff is incredibly friendly and professional in addition to their grooming skills being extraordinary. This has been my 3 year old Pomeranian/Shih Tzu's salon his whole life. My 9 year old Maltese switched from his former salon to BB&B about 3 years ago. The difference in quality and professionalism is incomparable. My Maltese use to shake and even run away from the salon door at his previous salon, but both my dogs happily enter BB&B. I love how the dogs are able to socialize and play after they are finished with grooming vs. being locked in a small cage until they get picked up. Their knowledge in style shows in how well they are able to make your dog look that much better. Only downside: they ARE quite popular so make sure to call at least a week in advance to your preferred date. read more

If you want to get your pet in on a Saturday, you have to make an appointment beforehand. The staff is super friendly and I know I can trust them with my dog. The price is super affordable! It was like $24 for a bath and grooming for my dog - this included ear cleaning, nail clipping, brushing, anal gland, etc. However, looking in my dog's ears, it doesn't look like they were cleaned... but I could be wrong. I took my 2 dogs in today for the first time to get their nails trimmed. I have had health issues that have prevented me from doing it myself. I was ok with my Chi Wi he has had others do his nails before. He went first and did great but my Pitty is a big chicken butt so they let me go with her and hug her face like she loves, so they could do her nails. She did great with momma there... When we were leaving, my pitty had her tail completely untucked which in her world is a thumbs up to this groomer. I would definitely go back again and would recommend them to others .. I took my little rescue pomeranian in today. We have had him for 3 months and wanted a trim but was not sure how. We had taken him previously to a national chain for a nail trim and ask about a hygiene trim. They wanted to shave him to look like a teddy bear. Why have a long hair dog? My husband loves his long hair. Was pleasantly surprised that the pups were just wandering behind the counter and not caged. When I went to pick up my little guy was socializing freely. They will "squeeze" you in if the price is right. I called for my dog to have her paws and face trimmed. The woman on the phone said "Sure we can get you in today." She quickly changed her mind when I told her she would NOT be needing a bath. Which is silly because the trim is a quick ten minutes. But the trim is also only $10. Shameful. read more

I've taken my dog here a couple of times. They seem to do a good job with their grooming and my dog never appears traumatized after he goes. However, a point (almost two) was taken off because of how I felt when I picked up my dog. The groomer said over and over again (loudly) how she had to cut my dog low because he matted in a few places. It was pretty embarrassing and awkward. Then the owner chimed in to say I wasn't being charged for taking out the matting. I'm not sure if they wanted a cookie but I didn't have any to give. They should keep their recommendations discreet and not shout them to their clients. Otherwise they do good work. read more

Found this location through Yelp as I was looking for a great place for my puppy to get freshened up. It was the first time going to a groomer for my 5 month old sheltie. Service was excellent and all the people there were friendly. During peak hours parking may be a bit difficult, but this place is worth all the stars.
