Update: The owner called me the next day after noticing my review and showed the concern I had expected, which I really appreciate. This was my big dog's first time at a groomer, so I'm sure he wasn't easy to manage. I had no intention of returning, but they later messaged me to say my dogs are no longer welcome -- which I think speaks for itself. Puppy Luv is a wonderful local business that does an awesome job at pet grooming and also does boarding! My family has been coming here for years and have tried both services. We have one 15 year old Maltese who is 4 pounds, so super tiny and somewhat frail due to his age. He's however got a major temper and we mostly can't get close to his eyes/face area to wipe stuff off or touch. I've had one groomer suggest before that he be put under which I was furious about, and I loved that Soojin was like "let me try" and now she's the only one Mikey goes to! She and her husband love animals and are just such gems, they truly love and appreciate your pet as much as their own! Mikey has been the only dog in our home his whole life so he's not very well socialized but we had him boarded here for nearly 5 days and he became socialized when he was 14 years old. It's especially a great place for the smaller toy breeds because there's so many of them here. Mikey always meets a couple of other Maltese puppies like himself and it's also easier for him to be around yorkies, shitzus, poodles, etc since they're not overwhelmingly large. When you board it's also open air, so they might be separated into different areas but no one is caged which is so nice. Mikey had a roomie named Snoopy who was just about his size, nice and calm, same Maltese and very slightly bigger and they got along great. Soojin and her husband are very talented at reading animals and knowing who to pair with whom. We've always been happy and satisfied with Mikey's cuts, she does an excellent, thorough job. Mikey and our family is very appreciate, thank you always!! Puppy Luv is in the same plaza at Me-rak restaurant, a Korean pharmacy and a few other businesses, across the street from H-mart and Barnes and Noble. I took my small short-haired terrier mix (Jasper) to Puppy Luv today. I made an appointment earlier in the week and they were able to make time for him. Jasper is a rescue dog, so he's shy and fearful around strangers. I love that they let the dogs run free instead of being locked up in a cage. Jasper enjoyed the other dogs, despite his shyness. He needed a bath and a nail trim and it took a little over an hour. I was very impressed with how clean he was and how well his nails were clipped.
