My grandmother passed away on April 1st. In April 2nd, my mom received a phone call in the morning that my grandmother's belongings had already been packed up without our permission or even letting us know. Mind you, my mom had asked the night my grandmother was passing, how long we had to clean the room out and was told we could "take our time". When we arrived on early afternoon on April 2nd, after having to go to the funeral home, we found my grandmother's belongings piled up out in the open in the lobby, right beside the front door. Any stranger could have touched or rifled through my grandmother's things. It looked as if she had been evicted. It was so beyond horrifying and disrespectful for a grieving family. When we attempted to have a conversation with business manager, Andrew, he was the complete opposite of empathetic or kind. He was condescending and heinous. When I expressed my concerns about the care my grandmother had prior to her death, Andrew responded with "Well then why would you leave her here?" about my elderly, immobile, handicapped grandmother who had passed away the day before. My stepfather was in this facility for only a few days and ended up going home (he's on hospice now). The facility seems incredibly understaffed. I happen to live out of state so I couldn't be there all of the time. He ended up spending only a couple of days in the facility before my mom decided to take him home. It's awful when patients are made to wait for hours at a time to have their urinal emptied or brought to the restroom. My mom had to go help a patient across the hall who had fallen down. He was on the floor for over an hour waiting for a nurse, and my parents were worried about him. Also worth noting they apparently did not have any tanks of oxygen in the whole facility. My mom was able to bring some from home thankfully, but we waited 24 hours without any. The nurses told my mom he would be okay but by the time he was in my mom's car, his oxygen saturation dropped to 84%. Also, the facility originally agreed to help transport him to his radiation and chemo, but couldn't follow through on that. Again, helpful if you can have family there. They were out of top sheets and provided one thin blanket. My mom had to bring that stuff since the nursing facility can't provide such extravagant things. I think it's an okay facility if you can have family there with the patient for several hours every day. read more

12/24-3/25 My mother was in Bath Creek Estates in between and after 2 hospital stays. She had received wonderful care through her complicated health condition. The 24 hour nursing staff kept a good eye on her, calling me and reporting updates, as needed and requested. Housekeeping came in daily and never complained about any messes, just gracious people with a warm smile. Laundry services kept track of items, linens replaced and changed daily. Activities were wonderful, especially through the Holidays. Administration folks were on top of things, I had no headaches to deal with, as far as that went. The whole process was so smooth, which helped me focus on my mother and her progress. Special thanks to Joe LPN, Alicia LPN, Olive PTA, Director of PT and so many other personal staff members, who came with a warm smile, caring heart and great attitudes, several of which still inquire about her, when they see me. read more

Mother was checked in yesterday for rehab. Called me today saying "They are killing me. It's horrible. Get me out of here. The food is horrible. The place is a dump, dirty with papers all over the floor. They won't let me go to the bathroom when I need to go. I'm freezing, they only gave me one thin blanket, no top sheet. I asked for another blanket and they gave me another thin blanket. The bed is too narrow. I can't get out of bed by myself. If Medicare saw this, they would shut it down. Get me out of here. I hate it!" read more

Every week I visited my mother for 18 mos. During that time the staff never learned my name. With almost every visit, I had to go to battle with administration and staff over the poor care my mom received. I had 3 meetings with the Administrator, Head Nurse and Site Doctor to complain about mom's lack of care. I had to get the Dept on Aging involved. While changes were promised, nothing got better. I tried for almost a year to get Mom out, but could not find openings This is the worst facility. Do not send your loved ones there. read more

My aunt has lived here for the last couple years. The staff is friendly and professional. They take great care of her. She is in the skilled nursing area. She enjoys the food (recently said their biscuits and gravy breakfast was BETTER than Bob Evans!). My aunt loves to play bingo and socialize with friends. read more

If you really care about someone, DO NOT send your loved ones here. My Mom was a patient here for short term rehab . We started to try to get my Mother removed the day that she arrived. The facility is terribly understaffed. Most of the employees are outside hires from a outside agency. Hence, different people everyday and not knowing the care a person needs. Medical charts not filled out completely or accurately. My mom would call me at night asking for help because no one answered the call button. I would call the outside line to a nursing station for hours and no one answered. My Mom was catharized because, and only because, there was no one to help her go to the bathroom, or help with depends. Hardly any therapy at all. Major outbreak of covid. I could go on and on about nightmare stories. So glad she is rehabbing somewhere else and doing quite well. read more

This is the worst organized establishment ever. Don't take your loved ones here. You constantly get different answers for the same questions and no one knows what is going on. read more

Don't send your loved ones here. Especially if they have Dementia or cannot walk themselves. They are highly understaffed. The dirty dishes take priority over your loved ones. My grandpa would have to wait over 20 mins just to get someone to come help him go to the bathroom. They let him bleed from his catheter for at least 8 hrs before I showed up and freaked and made them call 911. They never called us to inform us he was bleeding or in distress. They also let him a diabetic skip 2 meals while bleeding. This place needs reported to the BBB!! read more

My Mom is a resident @ Bath Creek Estates in Cuyahoga Falls and the therapists, STNAS, nurses, activity coordinator, social worker, business office manager, nurse practitioner, house physician, & administrator adhere to my Moms needs with professionalism & compassion. They also maintain an open line of communication with our family. Mom is happy to call Bath Creek her home . read more
