The room looks so bright and clean now, the new fixtures work beautifully, and cleaning takes almost no time at all. Plus, we now have stylish grab bars, a non-slip shower pan, and a larger drain that won't get clogged with hair. Michelle suggested removing some wall tile to extend the new Onyx wall slabs in the shower enclosure to the door molding, and we are really pleased with the result. The 3-person installation crew, led by Kevin, got the whole job -- including replacing two toilets -- done in 8 hours. They showed up on time, were very pleasant, and they cleaned up after themselves. There were a few minor issues after the job was done, and Michelle sent Matt over. He made everything perfect, and he was just as nice as the rest of the crew. Columbus Bath Design gave us a fair price. They are one of the best contractors we've had in the 24 years we've lived in this old house.

The took all the time I needed in the show room with lots of professional suggestions that I wouldn't even think about since I'm not in that business. There were ton's of scenarios to choose from and even more counter and vanity samples. As for the actual work on the job, CBD had some of the most able and professional craftsmen that I've run across. These guys were on time, worked diligently, contained demo dust and debris very well and took a lot of pride in how they installed the new product. That last part was very important to me. Not one of them treated the remodel like it was mine....It was more like they were doing the work in their own homes. It was flawless. During the project, they asked me my preference as to locations of towel and TP bars and soap caddies in the shower and bath and the direction of the floor being laid. We've even referred friends + relatives to them (high praise). Our salesman Chad Schirtzinger, his sales manager Chrissy Boasetti, and their fabrication + installation manager Toney Curry were all wonderful to work with - knowledgeable, professional, fair, reasonable, and genuinely nice. They have a big selection of slabs, and a huge room of remnants they can fabricate for smaller jobs, too. We weren't planning to, but found a rem to upgrade the countertop in a half-bath, too. This install was big and challenging - it took 3 huge slabs of matching Quartzite for a giant island and a full-height wall backsplash behind the stove. It took 8 strong men to carry and set the big island slab - I promise we were holding our breath the whole time they were carrying it in. There were a few small hiccups - that's going to happen with a big and complicated job like this. They fixed everything to our satisfaction - no hesitation, no complaints, no problem - they consistently "did the right thing" (which is refreshing and somewhat unusual these days). We kept changing our minds in the design process, and they handled our ideas and frequent changes with expert guidance, kindness and grace. AND... because hard surfaces aren't cheap, and Quartzite is quite expensive (2.5x-3x the cost of granite) - their prices were fair, fair, fair. They were fully 1/3 cheaper than another well-known granite fabricator I've spent a LOT of money with in the past (and never will again). The Granite Guy's prices were fair and reasonable for what we got. I cannot say this strongly enough - we recommend The Granite Guy 100%. 1,000%. 10,000%. Our customer experience with them was awesome and what you'd hope for, their prices were fair, the people are awesome, and we got exactly what we wanted at a price that didn't feel like we were being ripped off (if I show you the quote we got from "those other guys", you'll understand what I mean). Between Bath Tune Up and their subcontractors, I had 5 different contacts I worked with and scheduled separate appointments with- each of whom told me different things. None of them seemed aware of discussions that I'd already had with the others. Multiple times they either didn't show up for appointments or canceled last minute (especially frustrating when I had taken time off work to be home for the appointment). To their credit, early in the process they identified a leak in the side of our house that we needed to fix immediately. Bath Tune Up paused their work and was very patient while I got the leak fixed. After 10 days I notified them that the leak was fixed and the bathroom work could continue. It took them 9 weeks after that to finish the work. Also to their credit, multiple times when I complained about the quality of the work they did send someone out to see and then later come out to fix the work. However- this required a ton of time and management from me. I'd rather they did it right the first time.

They did okay with carpet tiles, but we have had major problems with their vinyl planks. Their salesperson helped us pick out the product. Their installer put in the floors. I walked them through our plan before installation. No one ever cautioned us about anything. The floor has not held up well. The've blamed us for not giving enough room for the floor to float, but didn't mention that problem at the time of install. Overall, the planks look warped and the face is peeling up in places. Not a good product, and although it has a 10 year warranty, Nice refused to stand behind it.

The owner came out, measured, and gave me a sq. ft. installed price that was competitive with some…read moreof the other fabricators that I had talked to, not the lowest price by the way but within my modest budget. They were able to get a particular stone that I wanted so that clinched the deal. He was, throughout this purchase and installation, always pleasant and polite. I wanted a honed finish on the stone: he first quoted me double what anyone else had for honing, but then he did agree to match the pricing from other stone yards for that finish. I had to wait many weeks for him to template and be ready to install. Whoops, he suddenly discovered that my walls were not straight! In a 75 year old house that he had already seen and taken measurements before quoting -- Well, that would be an extra $200 to scribe the stone to the wall (I do not understand why every fabricator makes a template if they expect the walls to be straight and not have to cut the stone to fit...). He then asked if I wanted an "enhancing" sealer on the stone -- explaining that the stone would be darkened by it. I told him "NO" because the color of the stone, as it was, was just what I was after. Installation day: he had applied the enhancer to the stone anyway. It changed the color of the stone from grey-green to gray-black. The seam was not well color matched to the stone, much lighter, unexpectedly wide and very visible. I would guess that he had mixed it to match the original color of the stone. When I asked him if it could be improved, he said "NO". He told me that it would darken as it cured. The edge along the wall, that I had paid extra to have the stone fit, varies from 1/16" to nearly 3/8" gaps (I have seen example of other installer's work that is closer, including much narrower seams, so, I don't understand just what I paid the extra $200 for), filled with BRIGHT WHITE caulk. The stone is dark and the walls were not going to be white. He told me that I would need to paint the caulk to blend it in. Colored caulk is readily available, by the way. UPDATE AT JUST ABOUT 2 YEARS LATER: the caulk is starting to fail (gap and crack) at points. Shouldn't it last longer? Also, he attached the undermount sink to the counter with caulk only. My cabinet guys told me that they have to redo that sort of installation often because they fail. Clips or a harness should be used. I am purchasing a harness device to secure the sink myself. After some time when it became obvious that the seam material was NOT going to darken, I asked him to come back and make it better, and to try to remove the enhancing sealer. To his credit, he did come back: the seam is much less visible now, which is why I originally gave an A-OK rating, but his effort to remove the enhancer only produced a subtle restoration toward the original color. Plus he skipped one section of counter entirely so it is visibly darker than the rest (although as it is subtle, most wouldn't notice). So, I would say that his work is just barely okay, definitely not top quality, and left me somewhat disappointed with my countertop. Apparently the honing and edge scribing was done by the yard where he got the stone, Mees Distributors. So I can't be sure if the uneven scribe is their error (careless work) or his (bad template)..

In 2021, I remodeled my kitchen and bought my kitchen from their Maumee location. This time, they kept changing delivery dates and caused long delays in my project. I was mad but tried to be understanding given the pandemic. In 2025, the touch panel of the microwave oven they had sold me stopped working. I called them and explained the problem. They sent out a technician whose diagnosis after two minutes was (and I quote directly) "Touch panel failure". Duh! He then spent about 10 minutes on his computer and told us the part was not showing available and that we had to get a new unit. He did not take the microwave oven out of the cabinet, did not check whether the power was plugged in, did not open the back plate and look inside. He did nothing but try to use the touch panel. They he charged us $128.22 and left. Since I was busy at the time and had the old microwave that I could use temporarily, I postponed fixing the issue. Last week, I removed the microwave from the cabinet, opened the backplate and (after reviewing the user manual and watching a bunch of DYI videos on YouTube) figured that the internal fuse was blown. So I called GE parts hotline and ordered a new fused directly from the brand. After replacing the blown fuse, the touch panel lit up and the microwave oven started working. What bothered me was the fact that the technician had no interest in finding the cause of the touch panel failure and moved too quickly to advising us to order a new oven through them. Having fixed the problem myself, I called them up and asked to speak to the service department manager. I tried to explain everything chronologically but the manager was impatient, cut me off multiple times, and defended the technician's actions. He basically shut me down. I called a second time yesterday, hoping to talk to someone who cares about the Appliance Center's image, like the owners of the business. I was again routed to the service department manager, who repeated his earlier response. Not only the technician didn't do their job right for the price we were charged, but the manager was indifferent and uninterested in the experience that I, as a loyal customer, was trying to share with them. They lost me as a customer forever. I hope those reading my review will exercise caution when calling the Appliance Center for repair services.
