There is a wide variety of offerings of mainstream as well as obscure subjects. Books are grouped by subject matter and interests and are well laid out. From classical art to crafts, from English literature to foreign language editions, from outdoor gardening to interior remodeling, the bookstore's offerings are plentiful and diverse. Most books and media looked in excellent condition. At the time of our visit, prices were $1 for most paperbacks, $2 for hardcover editions, $1 for CDs, and $2 for DVDs. This family-friendly bookstore has something for all ages. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. All proceeds benefit the Capitola Library.

Step inside and Tommy, the owner, is the man to chat with. The place is teeming wall to wall, rack to rack and aisles oof records and cassettes and musical catalogue of every genre you'd want. Nicely labeled in black and white, they have new stuff coming in all the time, so often that we've been known to go there every weekend, each time my husband finds a piece of treasure, last Saturday, it was a treasured Dire Straits album, today it was the complete set of Fleetwood Msc, and before that, Pink Floyd. I. Mean. After having sold our entire catalogue of vinyl at once time to fund a business, here we are again in the groove to build it back up again, and this place is in our back yard. It's everything you'd want your local record store to have, where you can take your time and browse and pay respect to the shrine that is music. We've been here regularly but that's our first experience at a place me and my friend usually enjoy and it really just made it awkward. Still was helped by other staff, still got what we wanted, but I can't help but feel like weird about our interaction.

The vinyls were grouped by music genre. They were in better shape than the $2 piles. The $2 vinyls weren't sorted, so it was fun to see what was available. As we were paying, the owner said that he regularly rotates what's out. Would come back to browse again! I found out about this place when I had purchased a few vinyls over at Minasan in Japantown and was told they were sourced from here. There is a small parking lot in the front, which was empty at the time, otherwise there is street parking nearby. There is a middle school nearby so the streets might be busier when school gets out.
