It can be a stressful and costly gamble hiring someone when you aren't from the area; with best voice and effort put forward during an initial call followed by a deposit with the final result to be completed one to several weeks later, and will even be to your satisfaction? None of that applies here - our experience with Tate Home Services was outstanding! After speaking with Aaron on the phone, I drove out where we met, looked at the property being prepped for sale then shook hands agreeing on what was to be done. I found Aaron to be courteous and profession both on the phone and also in person. He listened to my concerns and goal then helped formulate a plan to get the job done. Initial survey photos helped us to narrow down the work to be completed, a timeline was put into place and then final photos were sent showing all the work that had been performed. Other than our first meeting at the property, Tate Home Services completed all service requested in a professional and timely manner. Great communication skills, value and quality work. Billing, deposit and final balance were all handled remotely without issue. Thanks, Aaron! I sent multiple emails responding to their invoice inquiry, but they sat in their spam folder. I was verbally told they were leaving double negative reviews, strictly to get my attention. I have a recorded call from yesterday where they stated all this but refuse to be honest online. They purposely copy and pasted a negative review to apply twice against the company I work for. Per their contract with us, they receive payment 45 days from the date we receive their invoice OR when we receive payment from our client. I do not recommend getting involved with dishonest people who use the internet as a game to destroy other businesses. This company did not hold up to the terms of their agreement and are using the internet as a game of destruction.

I've never seen them pay out for [these kinds of issues] before." And of course he was right. So I had to scrape and scramble and move money to cover the total and it wiped my whole emergency cushion fund. When I asked him to give me a couple days to get the money together without having to borrow any, he said no, not possible, even when I begged for just 24 hours more. I believe he intentionally misled me with his silence for the duration of the work he did on my home and then had no compassion or patience when I struggled to pay at the end of the job after he let me believe that insurance would cover most of it. I truly believe that he let me hire him knowing I thought insurance would cover most of it because he knew I couldn't hire him if I had to pay out of pocket, and then just planned to squeeze me for the total due at the end of the job, which is exactly what happened. And if all that shadiness wasn't bad enough, get this... 2. The work he and his team did was to wrap my downstairs AC ducts (in my living room ceiling) to stop them from sweating in the summer, and then they fixed the drywall that the sweating had damaged. Well guess what. It's hot out again and guess whose ceiling is sweating with drywall and paint leaking from her living room ceiling? MINE! So the work he did under false pretenses wasn't even good work, because my ceiling is doing the exact same thing now that it had been doing when I hired him in the first place. But there's more! 3. A worker of his named Will admitted to peeping on me while I showered one day when Bryan and Dillon had gone to another job. I have all of this in text. (Will has since been fired [for other reasons].) Dishonest pay practices. Shoddy work. Shady creepy employees. If I could go back in time and NOT hire Fisher's Home Pros, I would. Amazing company, with an amazing team member in Mike…read more Early Saturday morning, like midnight, out A/C stopped working and we have a newborn, so we were freaking out. I hoped on Yelp to find an HVAC company with great reviews and after looking at a few, I decided to try Cape Fear. I called their after hours number and was immediately taken care of. The representative took my info and had Mike call me. Mike called me in less than 10 minutes and agreed to come out. He arrived about 30 minutes after we hung up, he located the problem, told us he could fix it and told us the cost. We agreed to the cost and Mike went to work. Our A/C was fixed and running in about 2 hours from the time I made the call. There was an after hours service fee and the cost of parts, but it wasn't expensive and I'm very frugal The only negative comment is that I see they offer military discounts, but we were not offered one. Rather than listening or attempting to help, they were dismissive, rude, and made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. Customer service starts with the first person who answers the phone, and unfortunately, this interaction reflected very poorly on the company. I hope management addresses how customers are treated because no one should be spoken to with disrespect for asking a simple billing question and shouldn't feel like they are annoying them by any questions it's the job they are getting paid for. I was so disappointed and after reading reviews I actually drove 30 minutes to talk to someone over them and when I walked in all I said was "hey how are you doing is there anyone that I can talk to over the establishment" and I was greeted by a older dark hair lady that would not give me her name or anyone else's that I could talk to after I told her what it was about.
