Hotel is nice, service is very nice. Rooms are spacious but poorly lit. No light by the full length mirror. You can check your outfit but not use it for make up when the bathroom is steamed up or in use by someone else. Entrance area can light doesn't reach to that part of the room. There were 3 of us so this was really annoying. The rooms have dark paneling, dark art and dark paint/wall coverings. So no light from the lamps bounces around. There is space for luggage for 3 people when you use the floor. But there's no light to see what's in those bags. There's also some night light lighting under the artwork overtop of the beds. It cannot be turned off so if you need a dark room to sleep bring an eye mask. Seems counter to the rest of the darkness of the room and black out shades.

My wife stayed at this hotel from 4/9/25 - 4/11/25. We have Ambassadors Elite Status. She was there with her mother. Her mother is very sick and needed all the attention my wife could give her. Upon checking out, my wife was struggling with her mother and all eyes and attention was on her. We live in Flower Mound, Texas. My wife notice she did not have her wedding ring about halfway home on the freeway. She call the hotel immediately. She talk to a housekeeper supervisor name, Virginia and one of the hotel managers. They told her the ring was not there. My wife had this ring coming up on 26 years , June 2025. My son gave my wife a nice bracelet that he made for Christmas, that was stolen also. Cannot put a value on that. The Wedding Ring and Wedding Band cost over $34,000.00. Police Report has been made. Do I expect to got this ring back? No, I do not. When you leave property behind in a hotel, and house keeper take it and not return it to owner, that's called "Felony Theft" in Louisiana, not lost. Up to 20 years in jail. Corporate Marriott will be notified next.

Great hotel! Well-maintained, clean, modern and spacious rooms, nice hotel bar/restaurant, and in a convenient area to get around Baton Rouge. My only complaint, which they can't really change is the road noise from I10. Some may find the sound of continuous cars driving by as relaxing, but it's fairly noisy. I don't really mind it, but if your TV is off and you're trying to go to sleep, you will 100% hear the cars.. quite a few loud 18-wheelers too up and down I10.

It's good experience. Front desk staff is very accommodating. It's close to I-10 and some primo dining Sullivan's and Raising g Canes across the street. (Primo for every budget). It's 5 minute drive from a whole foods and some good retail along with a Flemming's steakhouse and some good boutique BBQ. In house restaurant ain't half bad either and couple with fairly comfortable beds this is a great value, especially compared to many of the other places in close proximity that are in of an update.

I've been here several times and this time was awful! When I arrived (female by herself- at night) my door was cracked open. When I told the front desk they brushed it off as housekeeping did it. Okay that's understandable, but offer a new room or to walk me up! When I got in the TV was on, now I know why because the remote was missing. Also the cleanliness was 4/10. When I went on a search for the remote I realized how dirty underneath (open concept) bed was and it gave me the creeps. Now it's 5am and I'm getting up - listening to an alarm (not my alarm) next door. Last night was constant shouting in the hallways too - take me back home!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights for the 2nd time. I love this hotel. The rooms and common areas are always clean, the beds are comfortable, and I love the shower! The hardwood floors is much better than carpet. I was able to utilize the pool this time which is good size. There is not a microwave in the room but there is a microwave in hotel store area. It's in walking distance to Krabqueenz and a short drive to a main trip with plenty of restaurants. Will always be my first choice in Baton Rouge.

If you haven't heard the news, the Baton Rouge Marriott just underwent a massive renovation and its s beauty! The property itself is a staple in Baton Rouge and it has changed ownership many times over the years. As an event planner I've held conferences and workshops here at this hotel many times in the past, both when it was a Hilton and when it changed to a Marriott. I used to think it was in such a prime location and that it was a shame it was so outdated and in need of general repair. Well Marriott must have listened because they threw lots of money and lots of talented interior designers on the project and they transformed the place. I just attended their grand opening event and was blown away! The sleeping rooms have a sleek and modern look. The meeting rooms and public spaces are bright and airy. I even noticed how all the seating outside the meeting rooms have plenty of outlets available for charging up all of our electronic devices! (As a meeting planner I know that something might people are always looking for). The outdoor pool area has also been completely renovated and looks like a perfect place to throw a summertime party. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into the renovations and that they have taken customer comments into account as well. I have already booked two events for 2018 and look forward to bringing my groups there with pride. Baton Rouge Doesn't have a lot of high-rise hotels so I'm glad this primely located property received its much needed upgrade!

I had not been in some time, my last few experiences were filled with drunk kids at the bar and I figured it was a place I was too old for. But recently, I went in after work to meet with some friends, and the place certainly had a glow-up. They have a decent wine selection, and the cocktails were on point. The bar is clean and I like the different levels. The lushly decorated outdoor area is comfortable and a nice way to relax and enjoy conversation. And everyone who worked there was helpful and engaging. We also attended a Galentines Day event recently, and that was a great way to expose new people and those who had been away to the location. Delicious catering items were spread throughout the space. While I likely will avoid any large scale events there, it is nice option for grabbing a drink after work or attending a special event. Of course a note about parking.... because the area is separated by a fence, it is a little dicey. You can park in the lot on the other side of the fence and walk around, or you can drive to the back behind the building. Please be aware of your surroundings if doing so as it is pretty remote back there.

When I walked in the atmosphere was a bit boring..... anyone could basically go behind the bar and drink if you knew the managers. NEARLY EVERYONE who was serving me was underage, one girl even told me she had just turned 21... I was a bit uncomfortable with that. The drinks are overpriced... What bar doesn't serve Titos? The worst part about it every time i went in the bathroom most of the employees would be sniffing drugs.. like what type of bar are you guys running ? This bar needs to be shut down.... Let me update my review since it's being misconstrued and talked about . This review has NOTHING to do with anyone that worked at this bar. I've worked in a bar 12+ plus years ! I know how old you have to be to serve and yes that's correct it's 18 . Drinking and serving underage is highly illegal and I saw both of those things . Along with the drugs in the bathroom . My review still stands and no it's not biased . It's a great atmosphere but it needs to be ran the correct way .

By day the Baton Rouge Music Exchange is a shop operating in the old office / study areas of the building. The sanctuary has been converted to a standing room only performing arts space. There's easily room for 100+ people to get their groove on. The place has been hardened for sound proofing, the drop ceiling and window covering is apparent they are doing their best not to bother the neighbors, the music going inside could barely be heard outside when I went out to get a breath of fresh air. The sound system was great, the sound was tuned to the room, there was no bounce, no echo, no feedback, the sound guy did a great job! The sound was not overpowering, or muddy and dull. Better than a lousy MP3 or watching a performance on YouTube. This is why everyone should go see bands play. Experience live music because you can. They have events from local and national acts as well as Cajun Dance lessons and other events organized by the local promoters and owners of BRMusic Exchange. The night I was there I saw a band called LVVRS from Lafayette who were opening for Electric 6 who had been to Baton Rouge many times before. I paid $15 at the door which was cheaper than buying it online. Parking was a bit thin, get their early to get a spot and get a few brews or mixed drinks in your system so you can unwind and have some fun. Take a date and do some dancing, there's room enough. MCB is a BYOB establishment. No bar, you bring your own. There were folks who had brought coolers and nestled them along the two walls in the audience area. I guzzled my Makers and Coke whilst watching great music unfold from original acts. Maybe 25 - 40 people were there. The music acts were animated and put on a great show. I went to go listen to new music, when the opening band asked what we wanted to hear, and no one responded, I blurted out that I wanted to hear original music, no covers, so that they did. When Electric 6 played, they were monologuing about how the label wanted them to play more of their new tunes, I yelled something about the label and the millennials looked back in horror. I just laughed. I had a good time as did others who were dancing to the tunes they knew so well. I had fun, and I will be back to see more bands.

I have lived in BR for 6 years now. Many departments at LSU take guests there and in that time, Building 5 has done nothing to improve its parking lot. The restaurant sits underneath an overpass and the parking is pothole marked unpaved gravel. This means that there is no room for wheelchairs or accommodations for anyone who is differently-abled to get into the restaurant. The whole restaurant makes no room for handicapped persons. On the occasion I did get food, the food is slightly overpriced. All meats were cooked adequately but the food was lukewarm probably owing to sitting in the kitchen under the heat lamp than being delivered promptly. When I have gone, I regularly have to ask for refills on soda as I am the designated driver often for department functions. Servers pay you no heed if you do not buy alcohol. Because I go here because of academic reasons, I would barely go here myself. I've been here many times and found it wanting. It's an ableist place in its infrastructure. It's fine I'm atmosphere as a cocktail bar but would little recommend it to people I call friend.
