Cannot believe how easy the surgery was and how bright the world is now through my new lenses! All just as advertised by Dr. Fram. Just completed a follow-up visit, and Dr. Fram performed a laser procedure that took about 2 minutes to cure a common complication after the implant surgery. I can now see up close and far away and do not wear glasses anymore! Dr. Fram is the greatest--incredibly skilled, caring, empathetic and personable. The people in her office are all excellent with patients and at their various support tasks. I could not recommend a physician/surgeon any higher or with more confidence. Dr. Fram rocks!

I have very bad "dry eye" and I have seen Dr. Hanh twice on Dr. Pan's recommendation as she is a specialist in this department. Dr. Hahn has the most amazing manner about her and makes me feel heard and well taken care of. I waited about 5 minutes in the waiting room and was seen very quickly by Dr. Hahn today. She made excellent recommendations, right in line with what my hero, Dr. Pan has told me. I am so grateful that my issue is being taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Hahn if you have "dry eye" issues.

The problem here is no one in this office knows hwo to actually listen to patients…read more I was referred to Dr. Fram, but was quivckly told that she "wanted me to see" this other doctor in her office. Fine, my issue was watery eyes not catracts. Upon arrival I was sent in to meet with, not the docotr, but a series of technicians who stumbled thru using various gadgets that did or did not work properly. I mentioned to one that I was just here for watery eyes and she told me that liquid tears would help but get the one without preservatives. After about 45 minutes of various tests, which included dilating my eyes, which I was not told about ahead of time, a young, pretty doctor walked in, did a 3-4 minute exam and then declared, "Oh, good news! You don't have cataracts!" I explained that I didn;t come here for that, but rather for watery eyes, and she said "Oh, just get some liquid tears!" I asked how long I'd have to wait to drive home with my eyes dilated and she said "Oh 3-4 hours." When I began to object, she said "Oh we can do reversal drops!" and then walked out and did not return until I demanded that I get these magical reversal drops. They finally found another doctor who applied these reversal drops and I asked how long I'd have to wait and was told "About 1-2 hours." So after 2 hours, with my eyes still feeling dilated and a $50 parking bill looming, -- this is Centruy City -- I just left. I ended up paying a lot of money for being told the same thing about liquid tears I could have found on Google, almost got into an accident on the way home, and was out $50 for parking. A complete waste of half a day, my nerves shot, and frustrated as hell. I'll obviously never go here again, even if I do need cataract surgery, I have no idea whether Dr Fram is as good as they say, but clearly everyone else in her office is sorely lacking, mostly in their ability to stop and listen to what patientss need.

From one glance at the waiting room (not long a wait but many pleased patients returning to see their doctor(s), I was assured and impressed that I was in the very right place for my upcoming cataracts surgery. Dr Bedrood places no pressure on when you wish to have your surgery, but very gently encourages it if needed. And she promised my world will be so much more vibrant and vivid once I do choose to do so. And indeed, she was spot on! Even with only the first eye (my right one), I stepped from a matted, muted drab world to a technicolor one. Dr Sahar is a modern day miracle worker and my 'hero' surgeon. "I can see clearly now." I had cataract surgery in with Dr. Devgan last month and I can now add my 5-star review to his many…read moreother glowing reviews. I have a lazy eye (amblyopia) which means I only have one good eye. I was apprehensive about doing the surgery so I did many hours of research and had consultations with other highly reputable surgeons. But I found that none of them came close to Dr. Devgan in terms in knowledge and experience. After all, he is The Cataract Coach and has performed over 40,000 surgeries, including many for other ophthalmologists. Plus he spent a great deal of time during my consultation reviewing my images taken in his office, discussing lens options, explaining the surgery process, and patiently answering my many questions. Dr. Devgan loves what he does and his passion is evident when you meet with him. Additionally, everyone on his staff is very pleasant and professional. And Dr. Devgan gives his patients his email and cell number so we can contact him with any questions. I texted him on three occasions and he responded immediately! And in each case, he gave me very thorough answers to my questions. It was very comforting to know that he was always just a text away. I don't know of any other doctor who is so available to their patients. Dr Devgan recommended the Alcon Vivity in both eyes for me and my surgeries went well with no issues. They were both quick and painless and everything went smoothly at the Surgical Center. He came over and talked to me before I went into the operating room which I appreciated. I am very happy with the results. I requested the focus be set at near/intermediate, and I was OK wearing glasses for distance. I use a mild reader for fine print, my intermediate is perfect, and my distance is better than I expected. I can drive in the daytime without glasses, so I just I need them for driving at night. And there is very minimal halos and glare at night; much less than before surgery. I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Devgan as my surgeon. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family because I know they will be in excellent and very skilled hands!

AMAZING! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!…read more 6 months ago I had a LASIK performed by Dr. Khodabakhsh and that has been the best money I have ever spent in my life. After calling around looking for the surgeon that I would trust, I was recommended Dr.Khodabakhsh by a friend. I called and had the sweetest front desk lady explain me everything in detail, answer all my questions and book a consultation. I went to the consultation (which is free) and instantly felt that I was in a right place. Everyone in the office was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Dr. Khodabakhsh is very knowledgeable and makes you feel important and taken care of as a patient. I never felt rushed or pushed into anything. I decided to go through with the surgery and asked the Doctor to do it as soon as possible. My consultation was on Monday and on that following Wednesday I was already scheduled in for LASIK. Surgery went with no problems and I was done with the whole experience in less than 30 minutes. Doctor provided me with all the medication I would need for after surgery. Next day I woke up and could see! It was a bit blurry but already amazing. The procedure included 4 additional check-ups, during which Doctor made sure that I completely understand where in the process of healing I am. 6 months later, my eyes are amazing. My vision is perfect and I am so happy I went for it, especially with such an amazing Doctor. Realistically, my vision has been amazing ever since 2nd day post surgery and I was able to go back to work 1st day after surgery. Doctor is so great that I will keep coming for yearly check ups regularly.

I regret trusting Dr. Khodabakhsh, who performed a femtolaser assisted cataract surgery on my left…read moreeye using a light adjustable lens (LAL) last year. He's supposed to be the best, but his treatment led to months of misery both for my vision and time wasted trying to get reimbursed for procedures that ended up being covered by insurance and being double billed for the lens. While my treated eye is functional, it's not optimal nor what he promised. If you see Dr. K., do not trust him that everything is out of pocket, ask him to submit insurance claims for everything even if he tells you no insurance will ever cover it (it's up to the insurance to determine that) and get a written quote for anything out of pocket. If you end up prepaying for supposedly "noncovered services," make him put in the contract that he will reimburse you the excess should insurance cover the procedure. Pay close attention to your insurance claims so you do not get double billed by Dr. K and the Surgery Center. Also, do not let Dr. K.'s office use your credit card to pay the referring optometrist. Details are as follows: 1) He convinced me to get an expensive LAL lens that would allow him to adjust my vision post-surgery if his prediction of the lens power was off pre-surgery. He did not disclose that he would be making me so farsighted after the surgery that I could not read my phone without holding it 2 feet away! He assumed I knew so he could "fix" the power later. This caused a huge problem between my normal untreated eye and the surgical eye; I ended up getting a needle stick at work a week after the surgery-Dr. K. did not care when I told him. This is not proper informed consent. He also misled me when he said I would not need glasses if I picked the LAL lens; I ended up compromising far vision to get reasonable near vision without reading glasses 2) He told me that the LAL lens, the femtolaser (instead of a traditional scalpel) and the laser treatments to adjust the lens power were not covered by insurance, quoting me $9000 (later discounted to $8000). My research showed that this was about double what others were charging. I decided to proceed since this was for my eye and he was supposed to be the "best." 3) After the surgery, I found out that my insurance covered all of what Dr. K said was out of pocket. My insurance allotted $2100 to the Surgery Center (of which Dr. K is a part owner) for my lens! That meant that I had paid for the lens twice-first to Dr. K. for the lens package before the surgery and then again as part of my coinsurance to the Surgery Center. The Surgery Center eventually gave me back the coinsurance for the lens, but Dr. K.'s office refused to submit an insurance claim for the lens and tried to prevent me from submitting my own claim by saying it would be "medical fraud" for me to claim the lens using Dr. K's tax ID #; since Dr. K did not purchase the lens directly from the manufacturer (he bought the lens from the Surgery Center), he was not allowed to bill insurance for it (but he billed me!). Fortunately, my insurance company helped me get Dr. K's tax ID # (he refused to provide it) and file the claim; insurance approved all the procedure codes (with allowable contracted amounts-about 50% of the out of pocket charge); but Dr. K never gave me back the excess out of pocket charge. 4) He has a suspicious deal with my optometrist. His surgical coordinator called me to charge my credit card $8000 the day before the surgery, but then charged $1000 on my card to my optometrist and $7000 to Dr. K's office. It made it look like I was the one paying the optometrist willingly with my credit card, circumventing the appearance of Dr. K. paying the optometrist for my referral. Dr. K's coordinator kept on trying to get me to see my optometrist for the post-op visits, but I never did. I insisted on following up with Dr. K, but his office blocked that and scheduled me with an optometrist working for Dr. K. However, even if I did see the referring optometrist post-op, he would not have been entitled to the out of pocket payment. Aftercare within 90 days post cataract surgery is covered by the insurance payment for the surgery even if it is provided by an optometrist. Seeing me for a vision check without providing laser treatment on the lens would only allow the optometrist to get paid out of the cataract surgery insurance payment, not a portion of my out of pocket payment. I confronted the referring optometrist who first tried to claim that the yearly routine vision screening paid for by my vision insurance was the "pre-op" for the cataract surgery, but then eventually gave me back the $1000 as he had not participated in the surgery/aftercare. However, he made me sign something saying it was a "system error" as his office does a lot of business/referrals with Dr. K's office. Overall, the most horrid medical experience I have ever had. Stay away unless you want to be deceived, overcharged and disregarded!

BEWARE the mandatory "optional" laser requirement and the $2,200 out of pocket it will cost for…read morecataract surgery. I was given paperwork discussing the differences between the standard approach and laser and how it was a choice. The risks and benefits or both approaches are equivalent - google that with the Assn of Opthalmologists. And that's why medicare doesn't cover laser though they cover cataract surgery. But when it came to the day prior to surgery, Dr. Elander said he only does the laser procedure. He is pleasant although very short on answering questions. His front staff made several mistakes including giving me a sample glaucoma drops instead of artificial tears! No, I don't have glaucoma. Despite my issues, I have no doubt that Dr. Elander is an excellent surgeon and my cataract surgery went perfectly.
