Disappointing Experience with Poor Service In August 2024, I brought my iPad in for a battery replacement. Unfortunately, the new battery failed to perform as expected, depleting within an hour. I contacted the company in December and returned to them in January--well within the warranty period. At that time, Juan assured me the issue was resolved and advised that if the problem recurred, I should bring the device back. Regrettably, the iPad continued to behave as if it still had its original battery, draining quickly even with notifications turned off and no apps running. When I called today to inform Juan of my decision to return the device, he refused to take responsibility for the defective battery and declined to honor the warranty. Instead, he insisted that I pay for another battery replacement. Given that this is the second time I have received a defective battery, I find it unacceptable that the company expects me to pay again for a product they provided despite knowing it was faulty. I am extremely disappointed with their service and cannot, in good conscience, recommend their business. If it were possible, I would rate this experience a -10. read more

Color me impressed. Drove down here to get the battery replaced on my Mazda key fob and the guy asked if I had ever had it replaced before. I said yes, but years ago and not at this location. He said, "I'll be able to tell" and came out 2 minutes later with a new battery in my fob and a "have a great afternoon!" Buy the warranty. It truly is a lifetime warranty! read more

I tried to take a battery to be recycled. Clerk said it was damaged (puffy) and he wouldn't take it, even though website and google search said this is the place to go. I asked where to take it, he said he didn't know and I should Google it. I asked him to look it up since I'm concerned now that it seems dangerous, and he literally said "that's not my job." We've passed this store hundreds of times in the past and I never gave it a second notice. But when my wife's battery in her iPhone started to die this place was recommended in order to avoid the lines and wait at an Apple store. The people at the store were very helpful and friendly. The whole process could not have been easier or better. They did a quick diagnosis and 20 minutes later she had a new battery and her phone was as good as new. They have every kind of battery imaginable: car batteries, watch batteries, and everything in between. I've been hitting all the regular electronic stores in town trying to find replacement batteries for our cordless phones to no avail. I almost lost my soul in that pit of despair that is Fry's. Best Buy didn't fare much better. I figured a store called "batteries plus" *might* have what I was looking for. I gave 'em a quick call to make sure they had what I needed, and sure enough they did. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have a bunch of batteries needing recycling (or a sac-o-phone like I have in the garage), bring 'em there. They'll send it out for recycling and keep our landfills free of harmful battery poisons and heavy metals. read more

They were able to sell me a hard to find battery for my sony cam corder. In addition, they tested a worn out battery for a older, samsung cam corder, and allowed me to not waste money on a battery charger and battery, saving me money. Was told about this place by a friend. Took my many watches there to replace the batteries. They only worked on three because all the others were too high dollar at over a hundred dollars each. Sad to say but, the batteries only lasted a few months. I would expect the batteries to last as long as those I pay a jeweler to replace but figure, I get what I paid for. FOR THE PRICE, If the staff were as accommodating as my jeweler; less stringent on the price of watches they'll work on (offer a waiver) and a few on the staff members were more customer friendly, I'd go back. They may know what they are doing but they are rude! The white guy with the beard first didn't even make simple eye contact with me then, when I didn't understand a question he was asking about the cell phone battery I was buying he got mad and then he asked the question again in an angry tone. When I told him that I am deaf in one ear and that I was sorry that I didn't hear him he didn't bother to apologize. Tech people may smart about technology but they have no people skills. read more

This is a great little store. It's kinda hard to get to because of the way the shopping center is set up but you can see it from the service road. They have specially light bulbs and battery's you can't find anywhere else. Has to go here just to get a 12 volt battery for the remote to my ceiling fan. Crazy. They also sell and install car battery's which is really awesome. The employees were very friendly, knowledgeable and offered some great advice. It's just a small little store but it was packed full of specialty items and lots of cool stuff. If you need a light bulb or battery that you just can't seem to find anywhere you gotta try this place. My bet would be that they have it here and if they don't they can order it. read more

Possibly if the salesperson had been more helpful I'd be more excited about coming back. I needed the battery changed for my car key fob...which is fine they charged me extra to do this, but I asked him to let me watch him change it out so I could go home and change out the other one I had at home...so he came out with the battery all installed in the key fob. I asked him to show me how he did it and he gave me a half assed explanation without demo that didn't really help me later when I got home, and tried to install the other battery in my other key fob that was also dead....thanks to google and YouTube diy videos, this chumps lack of assistance turned out to be non essential. The staff here is insanely helpful! I went there to get some batteries for my camera and every employees there was nice and attentive. I tried a camera store for batteries and not only does their service suck but they're way too pricey so I was super happy when I found these guys!! I see many unfavorable reviews about Nick. I have one, too. My proximity sensor must have popped loose during a routine screen replacement so I called them back. When I asked about being under warranty, Nick was quick to tell me it was a different issue and to just bring the phone in. I couldn't get a word in edgewise, he kept talking over me. They may know what they're doing with technology but their people skills leave a lot to be desired. read more

Was having problems with a car battery that I purchased at the store a year or so ago. Took battery in to get tested and employee said battery was fine even though I had to jump start car three times in past two weeks. Left store with no resolution and took the battery to the store at Coit and Campbell. They tested it and told me the battery needed to be replaced. Don't go to store on Central expressway - employee I dealt with was worthless and rude. Go instead to Coit and Campbell store with different franchisee - employee and owner are great and much more customer oriented. read more

While they have an amazing selection of batteries there, their real strength is in re-celling old, out-of-date rechargeable batteries. They were able to re-cell batteries for my Canon Scoopic 16mm Motion Picture Camera and make them brand new. These batteries have not been made by Canon since 1980 or so. Plus it was done for a very reasonable price, half of what camera shops would charge me. read more

I have been a customer several times in the last few years. They always have what I need. I called this past weekend to check on a battery for my Ford Truck. I received better than average customer service over the phone and even better when I visited the store. They were equal in pricing to Walmart (with a better warranty) and far less expensive than all the local Auto Parts chains. At first glance I thought I was not in the right store, mostly specialty bulbs and batteries. I took my iPhone in to have the cracked screen fixed. There was nothing wrong with the start button or fingerprint reader. They fixed the screen but the print no longer worked and they changed the start button somehow. I finally got the print fixed but the start button is much harder to use. Siri comes on with any pressure at all and I have to lightly touch with the nail tip rather than the finger to move between screens. They kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it but they did not have my permission to "tighten" my start button. I do not wish to return to this company read more

Walked in almost before the store closed and the staff gave great advice on what I needed. He was knowledgeable, friendly, quick, and specific in his recommendations--going out of the way to let me know what alternate options would or would not work. Seems like a huge thing for a battery store, but it's rare that stores like this have knowledgeable staff willing to help out. Sometimes they also make you feel stupid depending on what you ask. Not here, and I felt like a welcome customer. I will go out of my way to come back for my lightbulb needs. read more

So today I needed some batteries and the first place I thought of was batteries plus because I have been to another location that I had a good experience at in the past. All I needed were a few packs of batteries which I have bought in single packets in the past by the name of "Werker". I walked into the store and saw three employees in there while I was shopping. I began browsing the store for the batteries that I needed and finally found them. When I reached for the amount of batteries that I needed which ended up being three packs of 8 in each pack, a gentleman by the name of Jake rudely told me you have to buy the whole case if you want those. The whole case contains 96 AA batteries in a pack at $41.00 each. All I needed were 16 AA batteries and they wouldn't sell it to me. They told me it was store policy not to sell less than a case of this particular battery. I asked him if he was serious and he said yes. I told him that I had bought less than a case at another store and he told me well each store is franchise owned and we do our own policies as to how many we can sell. I ended up walking out of the store and had it left a bad taste in my mouth knowing this could surely not be true. So, I went online and lo and behold, there was an option to buy the exact amount of batteries that I wanted to initially purchase, and I was supposed to pick if up from the same store I just walked out of just minutes ago. I paid online for my order and went back into the same store where I explained to the cashier I was there to pick up my online order for the exact amount of batteries that I requested just minutes ago. The initial employee, Jake appeared livid and walked to the back of the store. Another employee (Nick) once again started to defend the store saying they don't follow batteries plus rules since they are a franchisee. According to Nick each store makes their own rules and the online brand store is not run the same. So, long story short, if you want less than a case of batteries and they wont sell them to you there, just go online to the Official Batteries Plus site and order there. At least the franchise will honor their own brand policies and sell to the ultimate consumer as intended. This appeared to be a way to force an upsale to a customer that was not going to be forced to buy more than I needed. read more

Dropped my iphone about 2.5 weeks ago and cracked the screen. Still worked fine, battery holds all day, just needed new screen. Screen replaced yesterday and the phone appeared to be working fine. I let the battery die but after recharging, the phone would not turn on - screen was flipping between Apple logo and a red screen. I googled this phenomenon after screen replacement and found this meant one of a few things was damaged. Took it back this morning to find three different guys working. One rude African American guy insisted right off the bat it was the battery. Nope - nothing wrong with the battery.. holds charge just fine. He still insists it's the battery. Came back an hour later and another guy tells me the camera sensor had been damaged during screen change but they fixed this. Black guy continues to argue that it could have been the battery. Nope - not on my phone.. battery was fine when I brought it in I tell him. He continues to argue his (wrong) point even as I was walking out the door. Moral - Clearly, not all the employees know what they are doing. Don't let them sell you a battery you don't need. After all, this is a battery store.. read more
