What a terrible experience. I made an appointment to replace the battery on my iPhone. When I got to the store, they could not find my appointment. After they finally located it, they then told me that they had no battery for me. I asked what the point of the appointment was if it didn't mean they had the battery and they said, "well we had it yesterday but somebody 'transferred' it". What does that even mean? When I said they should have held the battery, the techs answer was, "Well, you never gave us any money for it.". Geez. So super frustrated, I logged onto Apple, made a same day apointment at the apple store and got my battery replaced by lunchtime. Cost me $20 more but worth it not to waste a trip and my time with these clowns. I will never use Batteries Plus again read more

This review is different because I didn't purchase anything but I got valuable assistance and service that deserves a review. My phone was going down fast and would not hold a charge and would get extremely hot and shut off. In an age where everything is app driven it made it very diffucult for me, a technically challenged person. I stopped by my service provider for a new phone and they use app to purchase, update, etc which again is difficult because my phone was not cooperating at all. The real issue became the transferring of data from old phone to new. They were not able to get the job done. I stopped in Batteries Plus and was greeted by all the guys. They immediately started looking at the phone discussing back and forth while I sat overwhelmed. Everything I need is on that old phone. Kendrick McVay said let me see that phone and went to work. He worked on that phone while being polite and comical but I could tell he knew what he was doing. He worked around passwords and phone constantly going down and FINALLY my data started to transfer! I cried in the car because they, he just took charge and did the job~ no charge! I thanked them profusely and offered to buy lunch or something, nope he took nothing. I must admit that I was skeptical about going to Batteries Plus after reading these reviews. But I needed specialty replacement batteries for a glass breaker for my alarm system. I was greeted promptly upon entering and asked what I needed. I showed the associate my old battery and he knew right away where to find the replacements. It was fast, easy and I felt welcomed. I do recommend Batteries Plus Bulbs and won't be as skeptical about patronizing an establishment with a lower rating. I'm glad to give this review. read more

I am not usually the type to write bad reviews, but I have given this store so many chances to get it right and they fail more miserably each time. I went in several months ago to have a key fob battery replaced. I'm not going to go into details but I will say that each time I drop in or call regarding my key fob (replaced, worked a day, sold me wrong battery, sold me wrong size, still don't have right one), they are rude, condescending and so incredibly unhelpful that I felt the need to warn the neighborhood DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! Dealing with them feels more like a SNL skit than a real customer/store employee interaction. SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! Non existent customer service. Just went in for a 12v 10ah battery for a fish finder. She asked me if I had a part number or did I know the size I needed. I told her no and she laughed at me said she would need more information. To my knowledge, I think any 12v sport battery would work. But I thought they were the battery experts. She was too ignorant to try to understand my need. They laughed again as I walked out. Will never be back. I stop in there occasionally. Not anymore. read more

My cell phone battery had been acting up for a while (I think the phone knows I extended the contract on it), and when it completely died last week only an hour after charging all night, I needed a battery, and I needed it now. And did I want to deal with Sprint, where my previous experiences have been sooo helpful and fantastic? No, I did not. So I went to Batteries Plus instead. They took a look at my battery, grabbed one off the wall of identical-looking (but presumably different) phone batteries, stuck it in my dead phone, and it worked. I went to the store on Mt. Moriah Rd 3 weeks ago. l went to have my Iphone 6 screen replaced. Sarah was very nice and polite. I had the screen replaced and picked up the phone but as I left I noticed that I could not hear on the phone. I brought the phone back and she worked on it and still could not fix it. She said I could let her manager see it if I wanted to wait around for him to come in the next 20 minutes. I declined because I already came back and was charged the full price as if it was an apple technician. Also there is a little white light that shines in the upper left corner of my screen since I had the phone replaced. I had ONE problem with my phone and I paid 135 to leave with a fixed screen, a case and TWO MORE PROBLEMS. GO TO APPLE!! You will get your money's worth and QUALITY SERVICE. read more

We drove all the way out here from downtown on a Sunday morning, only to show up and have the technician tell us "Oh I'm not certified to fix an iPhone. Plus I'm the only one here". I wish I could give negative stars to this place. Took my watch to them to have the battery replaced. $11 for a battery seems steep but whatever it didn't take long. When I returned home I went to set the time and the stem and crown just came sliding out. There shouldn't even had been a reason to touch those parts of my watch!! Went back to get them to fix it and I was told only the manager could make that decision and wouldn't be there until tomorrow. That's three days I'll be without my watch. Met with the manager Mike, he acted very aloof like I was wasting his time and putting him out b/c I wanted my watch fixed. He told me it would take another 3 days to be fixed by their jeweler. So basically what should have been a quick battery swap wound up taking almost a week. Terrible customer service from the manager of all people. Ok this is long enough, screw these guys. Update. I just left there and I felt compelled to leave a review. It's a small store and when I walked in there was only one other customer and with two people working at the same time, I wasn't paid attention to until the customer left. Even then I was wandering around aimlessly for a minute without as much as a hello. Finally the guy asked if I need help and I told him what I needed. It was expensive, more than what it costs at CVS! But whatever I was already there. I gave him my card in his hand and when he gave it back he plops it on the counter, even my bag, when I reached to get it he tossed it on the counter. I'm a huge customer service advocate, and these guys were seriously lacking. Even the old man didn't care to make eye contact when he was a foot away from my face. Whatever. The day before I got it fixed, I had just went in to get a price, and the first guy I spoke to not only just looked at my phone, but was going through my phone. I was not fond of that at all. I just need you to look at it & give me a price, not invade my privacy. Anywho, the next day, Matt took care of me & he's great! I was concerned about getting my watch battery changed today because I saw several bad reviews, but I went in anyway. I had been in several times before and was always pleased with the service. I ordered a key fob to replace the one I lost for my dodge van. With not having a key to go by it took them a bit, but I left with a fully functional fob (works on all sliding doors, rear gate, locks and emergency. And the cost was a fraction of what the dealers charge. Everyone was so nice and courteous. Thanks guys. read more

Went in to replace my car key battery. When I walked in the man at the register was counting the money and I walked up to the register. He gave me the "1 second" hand sign and I waited for him to finish counting. Retail 101 never close the register in front of costumers? After waiting about 5 minutes he asked me what I needed and gave him my key. He took it apart and then proceeded to ask which buttons on my key went where. I don't know how many people know this. We then went outside where he hit every button at least 7 times before finally figuring out which button did what. At this point we had been there for a solid 15 minutes. Finally, he puts the key back together and I choose the lifetime replacement option. Halfway through checkout and he just leaves. I'm blown away about how bad this costumer service is. He comes from the back after more waiting to give me my receipt and explain to me the lifetime replacement system. All in all, 2 stars for doing what was expected, -3 stars for some of the worst customer service and 20 minutes wasted that could be done in 5. Wouldn't trust them with anything more complicated than a car key as you can tell they are about as incompetent as a 10 year driving a car. read more
