I priced a battery online but that would has come without being charged so I bought one locally even though it wasn't double the price because they offer a battery "ready to install". When I picked it up the counter rep told me it wasn't charged. I let home know I didn't have a way to charge it, instead of offering to charge it, he told me I needed to buy a battery charger. If I could give zero stars I would! I purchased a faulty battery from the Menomonee Falls, Wi location and this was not acceptable! After having the new battery installed, I still continued to have problems with starting my vehicle. I took my vehicle to Firestone and the dealership and uncovered that it was a faulty battery. Unfortunately it took 14 days to uncover this as I had to go back and forth to the dealership. I returned the battery and was not able to get my money back as it was past their 14 day policy. I came here because I needed a battery for my car key fob. I walked to the counter and was helped immediately. I handed the associate my keys, explaining I needed a new battery in my key fob. She asked, "Would you like a one-time battery for $11.99, or a lifetime battery for $19.99?" I thought about it for a second. I only needed one battery. But if I would ever need a second, it makes sense to get the lifetime battery instead of paying for two at $11.99 each. So I chose the lifetime battery. The associate took my fob into the back room to change my battery. I blinked, and she was back! Seriously, it only took about 30 seconds to change out my battery. They have batteries for just about everything and the staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, but their prices are a bit on the expensive side for many common batteries. However, for difficult to find batteries and for watch batteries I trust Batteries Plus to do it right. MIKE NEEDS HELP!!! I just called to find out if they could possibly look up my account as I bought a cell phone battery with a "lifetime warranty". Mike, who answered the phone, not only talked to me as if I didn't have a clue about anything cell phone related, but told me that I'd have to bring in the battery to see if they had indeed replaced the old one. How he was going to do that was beyond me! He also made some comment that there was no way to change a cell phone battery and that none of them would fit. Really? This would be the 2nd one they replaced. The first worked perfect...until about May. In June I took the phone/battery back and another counter guy tried to charge me for the new battery-without ringing it up or even charging tax. When I told him the battery had a lifetime warranty, for the 3rd time...he then took my phone in the back room, when he was supposedly replacing the old battery. All I wanted this counter guy Mike to do was check to see if a new battery was actually installed for this other counter guy actually put the old battery back in. The attitude of Mike the counter guy was so unprofessional. Get the guy some help...he clearly doesn't have the time for customers much less, on this day, a customer service bone in his body. If this Batteries Plus wasn't so far away...I would have been there already. I am just shaking my head. Your job is customer service Mike....get it together! read more
