Took phone here to be repaired. Cracked screen. They repaired it but put smaller than screen screen protector on it, which is weird. Worked for a few days then just quits. Nothing. Still under warranty so brought it back and they say nothing they can do. Phone is done!! Then lock screen comes on looking like it's a new phone to set up. Tried accessing my account and phone goes black again. They don't know anything about phone repair and at this point I question if phone was hacked. Do not take your phone here!!!! And when phone was brought back in to correct problem employee said 30 mins. Then told us it'd be at least 4 hours!! Don't trust them!!! read more

If the battery is in stock, the transaction process is seamless. However, if it is not in stock, that's where the challenges begin. I needed specific batteries, and the first employee assured me that the manufacturer had hundreds available (even showing me on the computer). I was told they would arrive within two business days and that I would receive a call with an update. Two days passed and no call. From there, I was given three different ETAs by two separate employees over the course of a little more than three weeks, only to never receive the batteries at all. I very rarely post reviews, and never post negative ones- until today. However, my experience with one employee at this location in particular, LUIS, really deserves a detailed review. I called and inquired about the cost for a replacement battery for my IPhone since it was losing charge very quickly and had a service alert in the phone battery setting. I was quoted a competitive price (by Luis) so I decided to go over there soon after my call. Luis completed the battery replacement very quickly, gave it back to me, I paid and started to head out. As soon as I turned the phone on, I checked the battery health settings and noticed that it was not providing any information, but instead alerted me that a non-Apple part had been installed. I returned to the desk and asked Luis why it was saying that. He explained that they do not use official Apple parts. I was surprised he had not bothered to mention this fact before selling it to me. But I didn't make a big deal about that and decided I could live with that minor inconvenience. However, when I went to open up one of my apps, I realized the Face ID was not working. Since there were other customers being attended to, I decided to try and reset the Face ID. However it would not even recognize my face in the circle to start the resetting process. I knew there had to be some connection to the battery replacement since my Face ID had never caused me any problems until that moment. I went back to Luis once he was free again and he immediately showed some major attitude. I quote "So you prefer to be charging your phone all the time as long as you have Face ID?!" I was taken aback by his tone and sarcasm. I explained that I had never had problems with the phone face ID before, so there must be a connection to battery replacement he performed. I also stated that I had tried to reset the Face ID while he was with other customers, and I could try to do so again, but I didn't think it would work. Sure enough, it didn't. He kept saying that I must've had Face ID problems before since I said I was going to reset it AGAIN. I tried to explain that I was referring to having tried it just a few minutes prior (while he was with another customer). He kept insisting over and over that I must have had problems before - basically calling me a liar over and over again. I seriously could not believe his tone and poor customer service skills. He seemed very annoyed and then asked me for my password so he could work on the phone more and try to diagnose the problem. After about another 15 minutes, I explained that I was in a big hurry to pick up my daughter and preferred him to return the old battery and refund my money. He finally did, but kept insisting that he was sure I must had issues before- again calling me a liar even as he refunded my money. At this point I became quite upset and raised my voice at him (no foul language at all) because I had never come across such a rude sales/service person and with such an accusatory and defensive attitude. As I left I let him know that I would be reaching out to admin to complain about him. The manager followed me out (he had overheard most of the interaction but never identified himself as the manager until I left) to apologize and assure me he would be speaking to the employee about how poorly he handled things. He seemed much more professional than Luis, but he should have intervened much earlier in the process to diffuse the situation since he was present the entire time while I was in the store. I can't imagine a store wanting an employee like LUIS representing them to the public. He is truly an embarrassment to the store. I took the phone to another repair shop (that provides Apple certified parts) and they explained that screens and even cameras can be easily damaged while a battery is being replaced. They figured that is what happened. I would definitely not return to this store, and most definitely would never ever deal with LUIS again. Batteries, batteries, everywhere batteries. Car? cell, laptop? Apparently this store just opened in west Orlando and I received a $5 discount to celebrate. . . I was so sick and tired of my cell phone not holding a charge, took it to the Sprint store, and was told the battery was dead. . .may it rest in peace. However, getting me set up with another battery was not a big deal at all here. The staff was very knowledgeable, and gave me some great tips on how to make my new cell phone battery last longer. Recently had two great experiences with this location. First, a friend had her car battery die unexpectedly, and this location had the replacement battery in stock at a competitive price. Second, my cell phone had several microcracks on the screen. Initially, I went to U Break It (several months ago) and walked out of the store due to the staff..ugh. Finally decided to spend the dollars to repair the screen and took it to this location. I spoke with an Associate on the phone prior to my visit to the store. Very helpful and informative. When I visited the store, another associate, (Reaper),reiterated the same information as the person I spoke to on the phone. He asked if he could take the phone into the back and when he brought it to the counter, the screen was perfect and clean. He informed me that the glass screen protector is what saved the phone screen and handed me the phone, IN PERFECT CONDITION..No Charge! I honestly thought the phone screen was broken and this location demonstrated integrity and professionalism. They could have quite easily taken my phone, replaced the screen(Or perhaps not even change it, since it wasn't actually broken) and charge me the full price... Thank you Reaper and the Ocoee Team. This is a nicely laid out store. The help has always been friendly and know their "batts"- or they know how to use the software for searching really well! The assortment of different thangs that go "zap" can give ya a headache, so the help is just that usually when I go in ="HELP" ; ) Their low energy use bulb dept is pretty extensive and the displays are helpful in picking the correct temperature lighting. 5* Star review of Batteries Plus Bulbs! My wife and me went to this store in Ocoee because I searched several Walmart stores for D rechargeable batteries but there were none available! I have a Sangean Internet Radio/FM/USB Digital Receiver in which I was using 4 Normal Alkaline Batteries and the radio was a battery eater! I noticed in the manual that the radio can charge rechargeable Batteries! We entered the store and talked with the Sales representatives, Elliott and Andrea and we told them that we needed Rechargeable D Batteries and they found out 4 of the best D Rechargeable Batteries on the market! They were more expensive but with a lot more power so we decided to buy them! They gave us a Senior Discount on the Batteries and we are Grateful with this employees in this store! We also noticed after talking with them that they can repair tablets, phones, watches and change the Batteries of watches for $15 with a coupon of a Discount of $4:99 and the guarantee of the Batteries of the watch for life! We also talked about that I have several Shortwave radios that have rechargeable Batteries that are malfunctioning not charging properly and Andrea told us to bring the radios with the malfunctioning Batteries to properly identify the best battery of each radio on the next visit to the store! Both employees have Excellent Customer service and Andrea talks Spanish which is good because were are bilingual but come from Puerto Rico now living in Florida and our first language is Spanish! Let me post again, since my first comment was coincidental removed a day after an employee commented. Apparently, my post was "based on someone else's customer experience." Although it is MY phone that has a permanent mark on it, and I too spoke with one of the employees on the phone who was honestly a bit rude and didn't even apologize for leaving this mark on my iPhone. I have enough experience to know that I wouldn't trust them with my phone. A battery replacement resulted in a broken front face camera, which they replaced after my boyfriend took my phone back in (as they should have considering they were the ones to break it) and now a mark on my phone where someone obviously took white paint off of it. read more

This relative newcomer to Ocoee is as good as it gets when you need a battery or a bulb. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the store has every non-mainstream battery imaginable. In addition to run-of-the-mill batteries, I've gone there to buy a battery for a Roomba robot vacuum, a battery for a key fob for a home alarm system and numerous watch batteries (which they install). The staff has always given great service but they blew me away recently when my alarm system's fire/smoke detector started chirping at 5:50 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon and needed two specialty batteries. Figuring that the store closed early on Sundays, I called to see how late they were open. Omari answered and said they closed at 6 p.m. I explained my problem, and Omari asked how soon could I get there. By now, it was 5:55 and I said it would take me 15 or 20 minutes. Omari said "no problem," he would keep the store open until I got there. Sure enough, he had the two batteries in hand and was waiting for me when I drove up at 6:15. I thanked him profusely. We bought 6 golf cart batteries from this location a year ago. They came with a year warranty (I seem to remember a two year warranty, but cannot find any paperwork to substantiate). We asked the workers at the front counters if the charger we were using was sufficient (I brought it in with us to show them) or if it possibly was the reason our previous batteries had failed--they assured us that it was fine and wouldn't hurt the batteries. Recently the batteries stopped holding a charge. I called the company to see how to return them and check on the warranty. One of the employees offered to come out and test the batteries for me so I wouldn't have to bring them into the store (they are heavy). He did come to our home and took all of the batteries with him to be tested elsewhere. After testing, he told us that our charger had destroyed the batteries and so they could not honor the warranty. The most confusing part of the whole transactions was that he told us the charger we were using would be unable to charge any of the batteries because it wasn't strong enough (obviously untrue, it worked for almost a year). And then he told us that the battery had destroyed the batteries by heating them up too much (how can a charger be both too weak to charge and at the same time too powerful and heat up batteries too much??). When my husband told him that an employee had looked at our charger and told us it was fine, he said something to the effect of: well, you must have talked to one of the employees that don't know anything about golf cart batteries. We are disappointed to be out $600 and will not be buying our next batteries from this company. read more
