My first purchasing from a retailer on Facebook did not fare well for me. I ordered high powered flashlights for my wife and I. A couple of weeks after placing the order, I started seeing all of the bad reviews. When the flashlights finally arrived, there were no batteries provided. There were also no manuals or any information stating the specialty batteries needed. I remembered that this Batteries Plus store was near me, so I stopped in last week on my way home from work. Eric approached me and I explained my situation. He told me about the batteries he felt that I would need. I told him that I would return with the flashlight when I could to be certain. I went back in today. There were several employees there. As I began to explain my situation to one of them, Eric came over to us. He remembered me from my first visit and began to help me. A coworker, Juan, also joined us. Within minutes, they had confirmed which batteries would work for me, tested them and explained my options. I made my choice, they installed the batteries and rang me up. I now have to working flashlights. Eric and Juan were both friendly, informative and helpful. They are a credit to their store. Eric took the service a step beyond for me stating "you been through a lot to get your issue resolved". That is the level of customer service many businesses are lacking these days. DO NOT GO HERE FOR PHONE BATTERY REPLACEMENT!!! I took my iphone in for a new battery. I still worked fine but needed to be charged often. Picked it up and within 2 hours it quit working at all. Took it back the next day. They worked for a while behind the screen. Finally came out and said they could not get it to power on. Put my old battery back in and refunded the charge to put a new battery in. But I left with a phone that was dead when it was working when it left it. Took it to the Apple store today to see if they could help but no luck. Said something must have been damaged when they replaced the battery. What really stinks is I could have gotten a new battery for less at the Apple store and they would have guaranteed the repair. read more

With a national chain like this, I feel like you still need to create a hometown feel, especially because you're dealing with something very technical. When I spoke to a gentleman over the phone, I imagined myself back in my small hometown talking to the expert at the lumberyard, who would block everything out to focus on my need, didn't make me feel like an idiot, and made sure that even though he wasn't going to make the sale for sure, he wanted to make certain that my question was answered and my problem was solved. I had good experience with BatteryPlus in the past and at multiple locations. However, I purchased an AGM battery with a 2 year warranty at a North West Houston store. They said if I had any issue to bring it to any BatteryPlus store. The battery now has an issue where it would drop below 11 volts within two weeks with no load while just setting on a workbench from a fully charged state. This was about 5 to 6 months after I purchased the battery. I took it to the Rosenberg store as it is closer to my home. That was mistake. They did a test and said it was within the correct voltage during their test. I asked them to test it longer and they told me they would, but then called the next day and said there was nothing they could do. They said it will not be coverd under warranty as it passes their test. However the battery shows bad on my Noco charger/maintainer. They were very rude when I asked them why the battery shows bad on my charger/maintainer, but passes their test. I also ask if it was normal for a battery to drop to that low of a voltage without anything attached and they said no. I will take it back to the North West Houston store we're I bought it to see if they can do anything. read more

These people are the best!!! They are so helpful to find exactly what I needed when I didn't know myself.
