I called and asked about a specialty car battery, an Odyssey battery to be exact. I knew it was a very rare kind of battery but I gave it a shot. I was told that they did not have one in stock but they could order it and have it here by the next business day. However they informed me that they had another brand of the same capacity in stock. They had exactly one in stock. So, I rushed over to check it out. It turned out to be a Northstar X2 battery that had the exact same capacity and performance as the other battery I was looking at. The gentleman even showed me a side by side comparison of the 2 batteries' specifications sheet. And everything was pretty much the same except the Northstar X2 had a much longer warranty as well as a special mail in rebate he informed me about! After purchasing the battery, I was ready to leave with my new battery. The gentleman then offered to help me install it. I took this opportunity because the battery weighed 70lbs! And lifting it into place in my life did truck by myself wouldn't have been fun. This is a great store and over all I had a great experience. If I could give -10 stars to this place, I would. My visit to this store was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a small business like this. I needed help with my key fob. I actually just needed the Key Fob Replacement Shell. I had purchased one on Amazon, but I couldn't get it to work. (I later found out why) Prior to visiting the store, I checked their web site and it indicated that the key fob replacement shell I wanted was in stock at the store. I even printed out the page that showed it being in stock to take with me. When I arrived at the store later that day, the young man who helped me didn't know what he was doing, so another person, (who I presume was the owner), took over and explained that it was a special order item, NOT something they have in stock...STRIKE 1. I explained my situation to him and showed him what I bought on Amazon. He told me that the key had to be "reprogrammed". WRONG...STRIKE 2. Moving along, I asked him if I went ahead and ordered the replacement shell, if it didn't work, could I return it. He very rudely informed me that, because it was a special order item, it could not be returned because he wouldn't be able to sell it again. BAM...STRIKE 3, YOU'RE OUT!!!!! He also told me that there's a chip inside of the metal key part. What? He doesn't even know what he's talking about. The chip is inside of the shell part. Learn your stuff before you give false information out to customers. I was so mad. What kind of store lets you purchase an item, especially something that was going to cost me $40, and then if it doesn't meet the customers' needs, not be able to return it? If I go to Target, or Walmart, or Costco, or a hundred other stores, and I'm not satisfied, as long as I have my receipt, they gladly refund my money. THAT IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. In this case, had I ordered the part and it didn't work, I'd be out $40! That's the worst store policy I've ever heard of!!!!! After seeing how upset I was, he didn't even offer to make things right. He didn't care that I was mad. Terrible customer service if I've ever seen one. Not only will I NEVER go in there again, I want others to know what kind of business this is. UNFAIR. I have since found out how to fix my key fob on my own through YouTube. If this man had been a little more friendly and cooperative, and especially knowledgable, I would have GLADLY paid $40 for expertise advice, but instead, I was treated very poorly. My advice, watch YouTube before you visit this store to see if you can fix it yourself and order stuff on Amazon and save yourself a lot of frustration and money! read more

Service with a Smile. I went almost 20 miles after online ordering a specific car battery with 880cca 134rc to be replaced and installed and refund the core deposit all in one stop. Although I have high auto mechanic experience and brought most tools to take out the old battery and install the new one I still needed help lifting the battery, being 70 years old and weaker in muscle strength. Then Store co-manager Vanessa came to help out with more tools needed to install the battery right there in the parking lot! Job well done, Vanessa! She is young, experienced, helpful, learns quick, and very friendly while we both worked together, even had fun in conversation while I was finishing up with tightening up the bolts. She even provided a bottle of water and cleaning wipes as I finished buttoning up installing. Car started right up 2nd time after fixing, tightening up loose car frame ground cable and turning on/off viper alarm. Said our goodbyes and on my way home. What a great experienced. Oh and also battery was discounted, core deposit refunded. The store does other things/services like sell bulbs all kinds, and battery remote key fobs for cars. Batteries + Bulbs.... So here we are in the coronavirus pandemic and I realized the battery in my digital thermometer had died. Due to the virus, many businesses are temporarily closed which really limited my options, and I didn't want to deal with crowds at Target and Walmart or go to a drug store. I bought a battery online for my dad's car and picked it up today. They asked for his ID and credit card he used but I did not have it since it was his and I was the one picking it up. After talking to them and showing them my ID and the confirmation email they used common sense and realized I wasn't trying to scam them. Good job to them for being logical and not so strict with the policy when it was obvious I was legitimately the actual customer. Common sense is not that common anymore but they did a good job. DISGUSTING customer service. I sent my wife there on Monday to buy a set of all "WHITE" led lights for a MotorHome trailers dome lights. We called the store before driving 20 minutes to ask and make sure they have what im looking for, The person on the phone said we do have all "white LED replacement bulbs". My wife proceeded to the store to purchase them late Monday afternoon for me. Tuesday morning we put the lights in and they were not all white they were cool white as their definition of all white has hint of yellow in it. The packaging had a clean cut where I took the light bulb out the packaging, Packaging was not destroyed my wife had her receipt when she returned to the store early Tuesday afternoon. They turned my wife away saying they can not return them because of packaging is open. My wife called me from the store I told her to put me on speaker phone so I can talk to the sales person and I started to explain to the person that they gave us on the phone and the description on the package and what the product really look like was totally different. The person on the phone then started to argue with me saying I should know what the color is by the definition on the packaging. I began to explain to the sales person on the phone that every manufacturer has a different color code and if he works at a bulb store he should know what the color actually looks like to give the customer an exact description. I can see if I bought the product without asking questions and did it on my own that there would be no return but since I specifically called the store ahead of time and asked them the question and they told me the wrong information they should return the bulb. I am so disgusted with this store and the way they treated my wife in person and treated me on the phone that I will never recommend any person to that store again I will tell every single person I know never to shop there because their customer service is a negative experience. My wife is still so upset that that store representative treated her so bad. I am out $50 for 2 Light bulbs that are mediocre at best of the quality of build. I believe in customer service and when a store sends you away for there Incompetence it makes me extremely unsatisfied and I will never do business with that company again and make it my mission to let others not to shop there as well. Avoid this location or this company overall. I purchased a AGM top of the line battery $500 here 15 months ago. This battery has a 60 month warranty. I was told to bring the battery in since it is dead after only 15 months. The guy checked out the battery with a multimeter and it read below 10v which is not covered under warranty? So a dead battery isn't covered what is? So I asked him if it charges up past 10v it will be covered under warranty correct? He stated yes and he will charge it up for 2 days to see if it'll hold a charge and go on from there. The guy really held my battery for 2 days and didn't charge it and told me the battery is no good. I didn't believe him one bit. I threw it on the charger at my house and it is back to operating voltage 12.6v. I'm not sure if he didn't want to warranty my battery or if he wanted to sell me a new one but this is very bad business ethics I will no longer be taking my business here. To the business' response, I only drive the car once or twice a month, this was a case of a battery needing a charge and you held onto the battery for 2 days and did nothing about it but lie that it wouldn't charge! That's why you're receiving a 1 star review. Again I charged the battery with my own charger and it is fine. I should file a BBB complaint as well for you guys trying to sell me a new battery when mine was fine. Hope you go out of business soon with those business morals. read more

I needed a new battery for my 2002 VW Beetle Turbo S and had no idea it needed a Group H battery as I found a different battery online. However, when I called Batteries Plus for that type of battery, I was informed this model vehicle required a different battery to the one I'd found. It needed a Group H and fortunately for me they had only one left in stock. I requested the battery be held for me until the next day, offering to pay with a credit card but was told that wouldn't be necessary and they would hold it for me. The next day I went in, and was greeted by Ramez who came out with his tool box as changing batteries in a VW Beetle is not so easy. I needed a battery for my vehicle at around 7pm and I look at all the traditional auto parts stores and they either didn't have one in stock for my vechicle or they were ridiculously expensive. Then I came across BatteriesPlus.com on Google search thinking it was strictly for cell, laptop, etc. batteries. Just by accident I click on it and found that they not only had car batteries but they were far less expensive and in stock! Extra bonus they had a store a few miles away, WoooHooo. So, I grabbed some tool s needed to change my battery as I had just had to have jump start. So I knew the next place I turn my car off I had better have new battery to put in. So, off I went and as I'm driving I'm just dreading the thought of installing my battery as it is such a pain in #$% that AAA won't even install it. I have that to look forward to. As I am purchasing the battery I see on the credit card input an option for installation, $29. I thought holy moly I am sooo down with that especially at that price. Any other place that even offered that was a minimum of 3X more for my vechicle. And the gal did an awesome job, which took well over an hour. Not a great place to have your battery watch changed. I had my watch battery changed there December 2018. They had two options one price for a one time battery change and the other price for lifetime battery change. I went with option 1 since the battery was going to run for at least an year or so per the store employee. 3 months later the battery died so I took it back to the store, I showed them the receipt and my watch and they proceeded to change the battery. When they were down they started to ring me up - I hesitated and said wait there's a charge? The store employee said I didn't get the lifetime option which is correct and I understood however I didn't purchase a 3 month battery option either. The store was not going to do anything about it so I asked them to take out the replaced battery and left the store. As I walked out of the store, I checked the back of my watch - there were scratches all over. Needless to say, if you have a nice watch or you value your watch - I wouldn't take it here to have them replace the battery. read more
