We went here to get a new battery put in a Wenger men's watch. The price is reasonable, but we were not happy with the communication from the clerk. After my husband was handed the watch back he happened to ask the clerk if the watch was sealed. The clerk then informed him that the seal (rubber ring) disintegrated when he took the watch apart. He then hands my husband the seal which was far from disintegrated, more like stretched out. My husband then says, "so the watch isn't water tight" and the clerk then proceeds to tell him not to get it wet or submerge it. So he wasn't going to tell us that and just let us ruin a good watch if it got wet? Bottom line, yes they put in a new battery, but you don't just happen to forget to tell your customer that you ruined the rubber seal on the watch and it is no longer ok to swim or shower with. We were very disappointed in the lack of being upfront about this problem. I guess now we need to figure out where to find a new seal for the watch. read more

When I first moved to AZ, I recall driving by this store and saying to myself "Seriously? A whole store for just batteries? Who would shop there?" Well, me. I have been to Batteries Plus twice now, and both times have quickly been helped to find exactly what I needed. The first time was for a replacement battery for the timer that runs my outside lighting. It is just creepy to come home to a dark entryway. I thought a replacement would be simple to find, but nooooooo... four stores later and no luck it was Batteries Plus to the rescue. Ta da! Let there be light! Last weekend my garage door remote decided to stop working. Funny how pressing the button harder and waving it around didn't seem to help. Yep, dead battery. This time I wasn't even going to bother searching all over for a replacement. A quick stop at BP and the new battery was installed. The man who helped me even tested my old one first to be sure that the battery was the problem, and not my garage door opener. Now that is thorough! The world is an imperfect place. Batteries die. After spending the past month jumping out of my car to punch in the garage code when I came home and jumping out to press it when I was leaving, I figured maybe it was time to replace my garage door opener battery. But of course it was one of those batteries that no normal store would ever in their right mind sell. Fabulous. My guy here replaced all three (different, mind you) batteries in my tiny garage door opener. In fact, he opened that sucker up and popped all three right in, screwed it back shut and even glued the cracking face back together. And that's what I call customer service. With a smile! In case you're wondering, they don't work on commission. So don't worry your pretty little head about your car battery or all those light bulbs or the dead battery in your remote, because we all know you can't stand the idea of getting up to change the channel anymore. While I'm here talking about batteries, I'd like to know who thought it was a good idea to use THREE. DIFFERENT. KINDS. in a stupid garage door opener. Seriously. Who does that?? I've driven past this place hundreds of times and wondered - who would need to go here for a battery? Drug stores sell them, Target, OfficeMax, BestBuy, and on and on. Why them? Then the battery in my car's key fob died. It's important to note that my car doesn't have a real key; the fob transmits to the car and it lets me unlock the door by touching the handle, it sets the seat/mirrors up the way I like them and, oh yeah - it lets me start the car by touching a button. There's an emergency key but I have no idea how it works. Sounds like an easy fix - just put in a new battery right? True, IF you can find the ^*(@#^% battery. Walgreens - no, Target - no, BestBuy - hell no, OfficeMax - nope. Batteries Plus - Yep! While I was there the clerk helped two other people. The first guy had a battery from an ATV. The clerk checked it out and told the guy the battery was shot but it was only a year old so he should go back to the dealer and see if he could get it replaced under warranty. The second guy had a battery from a WaveRunner. The clerk checked it out and said it was OK but it just needed a charge because it's been sitting around. He suggested the guy buy a Battery Tender so it wouldn't happen again. When the guy said no, he offered to charge the battery for him at no cost but it would take a few hours. Two potential sales and he let them off the hook for free. I'm sure the $6 I spent made the day! No, you wouldn't go here for A, AA, AAA or D's but anything else - yes! read more

After going to the grocery store and buying what I thought was the correct battery only to find out that those small 3V batteries come in a multitude of sizes which the grocery store only carries the standard size I knew that Batteries Plus would help me out. I walk in and am greeted promptly by the store manager. I show him what I am looking for and he produces the battery in under a minute! I will now be able to weigh myself again, wah wah. I'd you are going to pay $10 to change the battery in your car key fob one might expect that they would use a good quality battery. Well two months later and my car started or reading the fob. I thought it was the fob since the battery was repacked so recently but ultimately they must have replaced it with a crappy or old battery. I changed this one myself, a 6 pk of the CR2032 battery (in most car key fobs) is like $6. read more

I went to this Batteries Plus Bulbs location to get my iPhone 6 battery replaced. I would've gone with Apple, but it was much cheaper getting it done here. Of course, my worst fear was something going wrong with my phone. And, it did. After getting my battery replaced, my phone kept crashing. Within a day, my phone was almost unusable. I contacted the store with the form on their website and they told me to bring it in again and they'd take a look. They replaced the battery again, without hassle, and it worked! My iPhone 6 can now go a full day without being tethered to an outlet. The store not only replaces batteries inexpensively, but the employees care as well! Great place! read more

This store is conveniently located near my neighborhood. I was in today to search for a light bulb for a magnifying glass used for crafts. The original bulb was lost. There was only one other customer in the store for two employees. Unfortunately, I got the grumpy employee who acted as if it was such a chore to help me find a suitable bulb, because the information would have been "on the light bulb" that was lost. His reaction to my inquiry suggested he couldn't be bothered to find a compatible bulb and he only went to the bulb section when I suggested we try to at least guess which bulb would work. At this point I was the ONLY customer in the store. He seemed impatient and uninterested as he was looking for the item. He found a bulb that he said was the only one of two that he felt might work. I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt since he had just been on the phone and seemed to be having a bad day, but after reading a previous review, I can only surmise that this is that same employee with a negative review. Next time I'll drive further to a different location of Batteries Plus Bulbs, or maybe a different business altogether. read more
