I walked into this UBreakiFix location hoping for help with a cracked screen on my barely-one-month-old Verizon flip phone. What I got instead was a cold dismissal and an attempt to charge me directly--despite the fact that my phone was still under insurance. It genuinely felt like they were trying to double dip: make me pay out-of-pocket while also billing Verizon. But what really shocked me was the attitude. They stood firmly behind a multi-billion dollar corporation instead of helping a real person who just spent good money on a brand-new phone. No empathy, no effort, no customer service. Just a shrug and a bill. Thankfully, I found the 7th Street location in Phoenix, and they were everything this place wasn't--kind, helpful, and got my phone fixed through insurance in just a few hours. Stopped by the store at 16459 to find out why my screen went black. Assuring would not cover it as they cited it wasn't cracked. So I unfortunately was told a new screen was $310. The man helping me was nice, however they didn't have the part. The next I break u fix were great. FIXED IT IN 30 SECONDS. IT JUST NEEDED TO UPDATE AND VE SHUT OFF AND ON AGAIN TO ACCEPT SAMSUNGS UPDATE. I ALMOST WASTED 310$!! BEWARE. DISSAPOINTED AND will not return. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I brought my laptop to this location a year ago for a screen issue. They said they fixed it and I payed but when I got home the keyboard now didn't work. I came back the NEXT DAY and they took the laptop back saying they were going to fix it. I still don't have my laptop. I am a student and have had to buy a new one in this time. I have called multiple times and have been told a manager will reach out. I have filed complaints with corporate and still have received no resolution. Even Asurion Corporate agrees! Keep reading. In June 2024, I brought in a laptop for a keyboard replacement. Within 90 days, the new keyboard failed so I brought it back in since it was within the 90 day warranty period. The tech working confirmed the problem and put my info into the computer. This was early Sept. 2024. Weeks went by and I heard nothing of the new keyboard coming in. Since I work in the same building, it was convenient for me to stop in twice a week to get a status. The poor tech had his hands tied because the owner Ryan locks down everything, so the tech's can't actually order the parts and can't see crucial information about the cases. The Tech attempted multiple times to get in touch with the owner, Ryan but Ryan was difficult to reach. After a month of these antics, the tech informed me when Ryan would be in the store. I had to take time out of my Saturday to drive to the store to talk with him directly. He blamed the Tech for not putting the order in correctly and said he would take care of it. This was early October. After another 6 weeks of waiting, I finally escalated it to Asurion Corporate. They spent a couple of weeks trying to reach Ryan and get information and even they are having a difficult time getting in touch with the owner, Ryan to figure out what's going on. In fact, corporate is having such a difficult time they are offering to have my laptop fixed at a store he doesn't own! It's now early December and I'm no closer to having my laptop repaired. Seems like Ryan likes getting paid to do work, but is not good honoring warranties and likes to hide. Since he's good at ignoring his customers, maybe this will get his attention. Had a great experience with Ubreakifix in the Scottsdale Promenade, Sept 10/11 2025. My Samsung 23 took a dip in Lake Tahoe this past weekend. It continued to work until three days later when it totally died. I made the mistake of going to Verizon and getting a new phone, I should have come here first! Fast forward to the guy at Verizon who told me my phone wasn't backed up...I had no clue!‍ He suggested I bring the Samsung to Ubreakifix around the corner and see what they could do to retrieve my data. Well, it was quite the challenge for them but they succeeded in getting it up and running, apparently it had decided to ingest Lake Tahoe sand! Shout out to the employees at this location, especially Nick who was so great to worth with, he took time to also help me learn how this new Google phone worked. They also gave me a break in pricing, very grateful for that! This is what great customer service is all about! Hopefully I won't have to use them in the future, but I'd go back in a heartbeat! read more

I dropped my Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and it landed on the upper corner which cracked the whole right side of the screen. Brought it in to get an estimate. Was told that it would be $300 but I'd have to wait 3-6 days for the screen to come in. That was all OK with me since the tablet was still functional. After the screen came in I dropped the tablet off and picked it up a few hours later. Good as new. Very knowledgeable and friendly service. read more

They are only getting two stars because in the end they did successfully replace the battery in my Surface. It was supposed to take a day or two - ended up taking 3 weeks because they broke the screen. No calls from them to follow up on status. I had to constantly call - telling/lying to me that it would be done the next day. Never an apology for the delays. Kept blaming the supplier - so either supplier was lying to them or they were lying to me. Service is absolutely horrible! The guy working there was hitting up a customer for a job because he was tired of working there - it showed. read more

I brought my PlayStation into Asurion phone and tech repair the morning of January 4. The guy in there told me that shortly he would run a couple diagnostic tests and then soon let me know if my PlayStation would be able to be fixed there. The man seemed to not care about my PlayStation whatsoever or the time it would take to repair. It did not message me until that night, and then barely gave me enough time to pick it up before keeping it for the night. This business absolutely sucks at what they do. They don't have the right parts there. Repairs aren't done the right way, and I wouldn't suggest heading in the direction. read more

I paid out of pocket for a screen repair and after it was fixed, the phone would no longer read the SIM card. The store (including "corporate")refused to take responsibility even though I verified it was on the Verizon network prior to the repair so now I'm essentially having to make payments on a brick. To make matters worse, the customer service was horrendous. The store manager refused to call me so I had to go into the store each time. Brought in my finaces iphone to get the screens repaired they refused too fix the back screen which was covered through my insurance plan and wanted to charge another 400 just for that too be done but when we spoke too Verizon they said the whole phone was covered. They gave me options on how to fix, it but it would cost a lot of money. Instead of charging me. They offered to help me transfer the data to a new phone if I were to get one for free! I like most people use a service to fix/investigate a problem. In every case there is non-refundable house call, and even if it is an electronic device where you drop off your device there is ALWAYS a non-refundable charge for diagnostic. I had some minor water damage on my samsung phone and took it into the Scottsdale location and they told me it would be $50 if they could diagnose and fix the problem, otherwise there was no charge. It turns out my phone other damage and it could not be fixed, so they politely told me that it could not be fixed and there would be no charge. I am not complaining about the $50, but the fact that they offered this type of service and were very friendly, knowledgeable and profession will make me take ANY and ALL repairs to them first. Brought my dad's I-phone in thinking that I would absolutely have to replace the entire phone because the battery had literally expanded the phone to such a point that it warped/arched. Rose was able to take the phone apart, remove the old battery, put a new battery in and make the phone work beautifully. I left it with them overnight so they could fix any bugs that might be there, the phone now works beautifully! I truly believed I was going to have to buy dad a brand new phone... A gentleman at the Verizon store recommended this place to me as I was dealing with some pretty significant water damage to my phone. Apparently you shouldn't take your phone with you while kayaking, who would have thought! I spoke to Justin about potentially taking apart my phone to dry out the camera and clean up some of the internal corrosion and we talked about the pros and cons of that approach. Since my phone is surprisingly working and the main issue is just with condensation on my external facing camera, he provided several other options -- notably using a dehydrator to siphon off some of the water. Otherwise, taking apart the phone would be a very intensive process that involves removing the screen, which could cause many complications if done incorrectly. I'll be going home to try some of the 'home remedies' first, and I'm extremely thankful to Justin for giving me his honest assessment before I went down the risky path of taking apart my phone. read more
