Don't purchase any batteries from these people. We have purchased two motorcycle batteries in the last 18 months. Both have been junk. The second one started the bike once in the fall so we could put it away. Removed the battery and put it in the basement. Brought it out this spring and it won't hold a charge. Ever seen the movie UHF starring Weird Al? There was this phony ad for a warehouse store called Spatula City, complete with cheesy voiceover, suggestions of a gift spatula for Christmas and Valentine's and special offer of buy 10 spatulas and get an 11th for just 1 penny. Battery World reminds me EXACTLY of that ad. It's basically a shop filled to the brim with well.. batteries. Large batteries, small batteries, long batteries, short batteries, batteries for your car, batteries for your ipod, batteries for your vibra.... er... and the list goes on and on. It's incredible to see the amount of batteries out there in the market to run our modern world. If you need it powered, they probably have it. And they'll even rebuild dead batteries for your tools and so on, for prices waaaay cheaper than buying brand new. The guys there know their stuff and how to keep you charged up. The folks over at Battery World went above and beyond today. Last Wednesday I bought a battery from them for my old Samsung Galaxy S2. Turned out that the phone's charging circuit was wrecked, so I couldn't charge the new battery to get my data off the phone. I called the guys, and explained to them the situation. I asked if I could return the (now dead) new battery and if they could help me to get the data off my phone. Brent told me that they would make sure to help me out. To make a long story short, they took the battery back, refunded my purchase and allowed me to use another (charged) battery to get the data off my phone, right there at their location. Really should be a 4.5, and only a 4.5 as there was 1 minor hiccup a few years ago, which was promptly rectified. Beyond that what can I really say, every time I have walked in with a battery in hand, they know what I need before I get to the counter. When I do not have one hand, they have cross referenced it in no time, and not once did they not have what was required, and I have a lot of different battery requirements. I have been running their deep cycles in my tournament boat for over 20 years, and in one case made it through 8 years of extreme tournament abuse, where others failed in 3 months. The key is in proper care for the batteries, while I already knew the key, they have always been happy to share when asked. I will in fact be stopping by today in fact to pick up a couple more new batteries. read more

I have been to this shop twice. First time I was not overly impressed. The person at the the desk was completely wrong on what I needed and the price. The owner had to jump in and correct the issue. I never purchased anything and left because I did not feel comfortable. The second time the exact same thing happened. The guy at the desk (a different guy) was useless, but acted as if he knew what he was talking about. Once again the owner jumped in . The owner is alittle off but clearly knows batteries. I bought what he said I needed . The price was reasonable ( not great) But the batterie has been spot on and perfect. Thankyou. read more

They got every battery under the sun 2) they know their stuff 3) even though I waited for almost a month for the battery of my phone Samsung note4 they called me as soon as the battery I reserved came in. 4) guys are friendly...not at first but they get around. 5) they recycle batteries which is awesome 6) its only 40 bucks....bonus! Thanks to my friend that recommended it...and he knows where deals are. If you want battery...anything under the sun...they will change a car starter battery for $8... I think its not a bad deal... I asked my sleep clinic if there was a portable power solution to power my CPAP (Continuous Positive Air Pressure) machine. I have sleep apnea and I need this device to provide air for breathing at night. The person I delt with was clueless. Murray (sp?) first of all didn't understand my application. When I asked him I needed something to power my CPAP machine he asked me how to spell it. "C-P-A-P". Then I proceeded to explain to him what CPAP stood for. Then he asked me what the manufacturer and model was. I let him know it was an F&P model: Icon. He put me on hold for a few minutes and told me that it needs to be powered with a lithium polymer and they don't carry those types. I tried to explain to him that it doesn't have to be lithium polymer because it plugs into the wall. I just needed a battery and an inverter (DC to AC). He got a bit irate (I guess because I called him on his BS) and said there's nothing they could do for me. I asked if I could speak to someone else and he said no, there's no one else that could help me. Pretty rude if you ask me. I then asked if something like the Goal Zero Yeti would work and then he said no. I'm going to have to tell my sleep clinic to stop referring people to Battery World from now on. read more

My cell phone battery was bulging and needed to be replaced, and I needed a replacement quickly because I was going out of town in a few days. The online company I normally buy from (BatteryCanada) was not able to deliver for a reasonable price in my timeframe, so I tried Battery World. Battery World had a replacement battery in stock for the same price as my usual supplier (regular shipping included); however, the battery capacity was significantly less (600 mAh vs 800). I did not realize this until I got home. When I returned to BW, they advised that their supplier did not offer an 800 mAh battery that would fit my cell phone and offered to refund my money. But I needed the battery right away, so did not take the refund. I would suggest that before purchasing BW batteries, a person make sure the BW battery specification is the same as the original. There are other quality battery resellers that are price competitive. read more
