The atmosphere was cozy. The 2/$20 pizza deal was nice. The service and presentation was good. However the pizza sauce tasted off. It had a strong vinegar taste to it and. We didn't eat but a little bit. We wonder if it was spoiled? Unfortunately we will not be returning here.

Cluck Cluck BOOM Very very good! Got it via door dash and it showed up quicker than quoted and was still hot and gooey

To be clear, I'm very critical of pizza places, so that's why I don't give it five stars. But that doesn't mean the food wasn't good. The pizza was clearly made from scratch and I gotta say the crust (IMO the most important part of a pizza) was soft and delicious. Props to them for that. The cheesy focaccia bread was good as well, but nothing extraordinary that you couldn't find elsewhere. However, our salad was surprisingly very tasty as the dressing complemented the bits of meat and veggies very well. Highly recommend it. Overall I quite enjoyed my meal here. My only advice would maybe be to make the restaurant more obvious with maybe a bigger sign or some arrows or maybe relocate, because the place is most literally a hole in the wall of an alley. I was driving up to Michigan with my mom and this place piqued our interest online, but locating it was not very straightforward because of how tucked away it was. The cozy subterranean Italian vibe is great though; made me feel like I was in Italy. I see great potential in Battista's.

Woah! This is a hidden gem! Such a cool and inviting environment. It was dark and on the quieter side. It felt like a speakeasy, it was below a beautiful building in the main square. The service was really good and speedy. The pizza was the star of the show. Without a doubt, this was the best pizza I have had north of Indy. I highly encourage you to try the Cluck, Cluck pizza. So good!!

New in Cedar Lake, pizza and sandwiches were delicious. Service was excellent. Cute little spot everyone should go check out.

finding this place off the square is rough But our real probs began at the Completely confusing entrance (I'm still confused now reflecting back on it). We were greeted kinda right away and invited to sit on the patio which I went for since it was nice out and I wasn't loving the basement-vibe of the dining room. Patio could be cute but was super shabby. I'm a margherita pizza addict and the sauce on this one could have been great! But the pizza was so mysteriously greasy it was barely edible, especially since the crust in the center of the pizza was raw dough (or maybe just grease saturated??). My husbands loaded-up pizza was ok but for sure wouldn't bring us back. Service was ok. Not sure how long this place has been open but Maybe they just need to work out the kinks and property.

I do feel bad giving a 1 star to a small business but my expectations we high given the reviews. The pizzas were just ok, I felt like they lacked toppings and flavor. The crust was just ok, the middle was a bit under done and it took almost twice as long as they told me it would when I ordered. My favorite part of the pizza was the ricotta! Wouldn't have ever thought to do that but it did taste good and I may try that at home. My real issue came with the sausage and peppers app. It was so soft and mushy. To me Italian sausage should be firm after being cooked, it was just so mushy. The salad was also lack luster and over priced in my opinion. I wanted to love this place as it's my favorite style of pizza but no dice. Picture of the sausage and peppers appetizer, looks good but definitely not how I was expecting it to look.

    Awesome pizza.

We ordered from here and it was really good and the crust was doughy with bubbles of dough bursting from the firey oven. Love this stuff with pizza cooked this way from the normal usual ways. And its about time we can enjoy this kind of pizza cooked in this unique way. Roasted and toasty cheesey parts. To me this is how a pizza from the city tastes and we got it straight out of St. John IN here in town.

When our food arrived, I cut into mine and it was extremely rare--so undercooked that one side of the patty was still pink. My son's burger was cooked correctly, so I know mine clearly wasn't. When our waitress checked on us, I explained the issue, and she politely apologized and took the burger back. A few minutes later, the manager on duty brought the same burger back upstairs, slammed it down, and asked with an attitude, "What is the problem?" I explained that it was undercooked and that I had ordered medium well. She then asked, "What do you want me to do with this?" while just standing there staring at me. After acting irritated, she asked if I wanted a new burger or wanted "this one" recooked. The idea of them recooking a burger I had already cut into and handled felt completely unsanitary. Her attitude throughout the interaction was awful. I declined a replacement, and she huffed that she'd remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, it got even worse. Just minutes later, an earwig crawled out of my friend's salad. We were horrified. We took a picture, caught the bug, and asked another server to get the manager. When she returned, she walked up with her hand on her hip and said, "Now what?" We handed her the napkin with the bug, and instead of apologizing, she opened it right there on the table, let the bug crawl out, scoffed at us, and said, "Fine, I'll take that off the bill too." At that point, my friend was covering her mouth in disgust after realizing she had been eating a salad with a bug in it. Rather than showing concern or professionalism, the manager snapped, "What do you want?! I didn't put the bug in the salad." I have never experienced such unsanitary conditions combined with such shockingly hostile customer service. Mistakes can happen, but the manager's behavior was beyond unacceptable. We left disgusted and will absolutely never return.

I and a few other family members were invited by my mother and by the time I walked out, I was wondering why this place wasn't packed wall‑to‑wall every night. Let's start with Monday's AYCE perch -- absolutely outstanding. Lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned, and fried just right. It's the kind of perch that makes you rethink every mediocre fish fry your uncle threw that your family tolerated. If you're a perch person, this is your new weekly ritual. Then came the walleye, WATCH OUT NOW, and honestly, my sister wasn't prepared. She said it was flaky, flavorful, and cooked with the kind of herbs & spices she recognized that said, "Yeah, we know exactly what the hell we're doing." "It's the kind of fish that makes you pause mid‑bite and appreciate life for a second." But the real surprise of the night? The bacon, mushroom, and American cheese hamburger -- unforgettable. This thing deserves its own billboard. Juicy, stacked, and unapologetically delicious. Every bite felt like a small celebration. On top of all that, the place is spotless. I mean impressively clean. Floors, tables, bar area -- everything looked like someone had just finished polishing it. You can tell the staff takes pride in the space. And speaking of the space... Yes, the building once housed a gentleman's club. But now? It's so clean, so friendly, and so well‑run that the only thing dancing is your taste buds. The only thing exotic here is how good the food is. Pivot Lounge has officially earned a spot on my "must return" list. Great food, great service, great atmosphere -- and a glow‑up story worthy of its own documentary.
