I tried pizza cellar for the first time last week and it was so good I got it again today! I like the thin crust but the deep dish is my favorite. It's not really a standard deep dish but more a thicker crust with a sauce swirl on top. The sauce is home made and so is the sausage which is FANTASTIC. The pizza also reheats really well so go for the XL. Sauce is sweet and the price is a little higher than other places in the area but it's worth it!!!

A great find! Perfect thick crust pizza with a golden crust. Homemade sauce and sausage, LOADED with cheese. Both thin and thick are yummy but the thick crust pan pizza is definitely the star. The owner was a super nice guy too. Will definitely be back when coming back through the area.

We travelled to the Dunes today and decided to stay in Merrillville. We were near crown point so we decided to get carry out pizza from Pizza Cellar. THIS IS THE BEST PAN PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN! I am not exaggerating! I have had pizza at many of the top Chicagoland restaurants, and had my fair share of pizza styles. The pizza sauce is by far the most delicious I have ever eaten! The cheese stretch on these beauties are incredible! They do not hold back on the cheese! My son and girlfriend both said it is the best pan pizza they've ever eaten too! In fact, my girlfriend does not even like pan pizza, and this place converted her to the pan side we will definitely return and tell everyone about this legend!

After a long day of hiking at Indiana Dunes National Park, I decided I wanted pizza, particularly Chicago style deep dish pizza. Since Chicago was an additional 45 minutes away from my hotel, I decided to find something local. Am I glad I listened to the reviews and ordered a deep dish pizza from here! The pizza was absolutely delicious. Ordered a medium deep dish pizza with mushrooms, spinach and garlic. Would definitely recommend ordering pizza from here. Stay away from the generic chain shops and support the local businesses!

It was an adventure getting over to Pizza Cellar especially with the bridge construction closing off a major artery to I-80/94 and I-65. Also my GPS link from the Yelp app had me get off an exit further and led me through a subdivision and cemetery before telling me my destination was on SR55. Wrong! It was just after 4pm when I reached the wrong spot. I pulled into a funeral home parking lot and called PC. The lady answering the phone was friendly as she gave me the right directions and then I went ahead and placed my order. She gave the estimated time for pickup at 30 minutes. I arrived in a little over 20 and waited the remaining time in their parking lot. I made my way to the store where I was greeted and presented with a PC magnet for future ordering ease. She explained how most everything in the pizza is made fresh daily, including the dough, cheese, and sausage. Another server bought out the pizza and opened it for my review. It looked great and I was eagerly itching to make the 28 minute journey home. D was eagerly waiting at home for the pizza delivery as well. The only thing stopping me from swiping a slice and eating it in the parking lot was not wanting to make a mess. Ohh..and I guess D too...LOL. As if I didn't have enough obstacles getting there, I encountered heavy traffic and an accident on Broadway and 109th. Thankfully the police were there diverting traffic so a few minutes later I went in a different direction and caught I-65 later. So the pizza was lukewarm by the time I got home but we didn't want to reheat it and proceeded to chow down. OMG the pizza was so good. The dough is a bit denser than Lou's and it filled you up in a good way. The crust had a very nice crunch to it as well and I like it better than Miller Pizza's. The sauce was the boss and it was plenty cheesy as well. D kept singing its praises saying that he will send me back to get more. Overall I think their pizza was great and was worth the drive. Even with the distance it is closer than the nearest Lou's. The only thing that would make them even greater is if they make frozen pies that you can take to go and reheat another day similar to how Lou does. Pizza Cellar lives up to the hype. Yay!

I asked the server about bringing out the hot items and the cold items that we asked about she said they're working on it. That was not the case. She was busy chatting with one of the cooks. The other cooks were standing back door smoking what a horrible dining experience.

These were for three coworkers to split but after eating a few we were done. No one wants to eat overly salty pickles to the point that everyone was grabbing for their drink or trying to dumb the pickles in ranch due to how over salted they were. Colossal nachos - were good my coworker loved them he couldn't finish with how much there was to consume. These nachos are the only reason this review is two stars. Whiplash pizza - this was the most disappointing pizza I had in a while. With the pizza being more money and the description you think you are getting your moneys worth. But tell me why am I eating a pizza to little to no cheese on with no sauce on it. It's also weirdly dry due to the pizza having very thin red sauce as well. The photo shows as how disappointing it looks. The pizza still tasted decent but definitely wasn't worth the money. I have learned my lesson to not order out from this location here again. Who knows maybe dining in will be a better time like my coworker recommends.

This outlet lacks the full service meat counter that I've enjoyed in Mount Greenwood, but they still offer high quality pizza setups, and a small number of related items. Important note: they sell the ingredients - you have to assemble the pizza and cook it. On November 18, 2022, I ordered their 12 inch sausage pizza setup which gave me enough ingredients for three 12 inch pizzas. (I also picked up a serving of Tiramisu out of their cooler). The total cost was $31.94, which included a small charge for my use of a credit card. That seemed like a great price for three pizzas plus a dessert treat. When I cooked the first pizza at home, I added some mushrooms and onions, so it took about five minutes longer than the suggested twenty minute cooking time. But it was WELL worth it. Best pizza that I've had in quite some time. I don't know how often I will buy the three-pizza setup, because it's just my wife and I at home. But I do intend to visit frequently to pick up ingredients for some great pizza. If only they picked a place with better parking... this location is right on the square, just south of the old court house, on the southwest corner of Joliet Street and Main Street. Like any business on the square, parking is a big problem. But it is worth the trip!
