First and only experience (so far) with this venue last night, 02/17/2018 for the Sons Of Apollo…read moreconcert. Responsible drink prices, nice and fast waitress and most importantly very nice security/house staff all added up to a great experience. We made the drive over from Detroit because a friend of ours is in Sons Of Apollo, but after this experience, we would make the drive for any band we're interested in. Not the biggest venue in the world and the parking isn't good but other than that, it's a great place to see a rock show.

I have gone here several times and I've never been disappointed. I've even gone by myself when friends can't attend. If you're not used to a little bit of a sketchy location, then I'd advised taking a friend or maybe not attending. I used to go to the machine shop all the time in Flinttown and if anyone knows where Flint is, it's pretty ghetto. I'm kinda used to it so going here did not affect me. Of course there is limited seating so if you want a seat, I'd advised getting there as soon as you can preferably when they first open. I don't mind standing since I like being closer up front, but standing on your feet for several hours can deter others from attending. Drinks are great, bartenders have always been friendly but when I'm usually by myself I don't drink too much because of the driving situation. Def recommend for hard core rockers who love music :)

Seeing the pictures and clothing artifacts brings their story to life. The cool thing is that the games actually have a phone charger installed onto them! As long as you're playing you can charge your phone..how cool is that?! There is so many games to play But not alot of table games before 5pm, the tables that are open were full so I wasn't able to play what I wanted. BUT... it was still fun. I decided on eating at the CAFE since I wanted to have hot wholesome food( I was on a budget. Lol) I had the breakfast jambalaya which had sausage shrimp scrambled eggs with cheese and potatoes. I chose fresh fruit instead of bread which was banana, blueberries, and strawberries which was great because I'm allergic to pineapple which most fruit cups have ANYWAYYY! There is also a Convention center, hotel, and a concert hall I HAD A BLAST and can't wait to see a concert there. We'll friends hope to see you there. Until then keep YELPING MY FRIENDS!

They've done some renovations which have made the experience there better. Miller Auditorium could definitely use some polishing! It's a bit drab inside and feels like a high school auditorium to me. We recently attended Cats the musical there and enjoyed the performance, but there's room for improvement at the theatre. The main lobby/concourse area is super crowded and packed. Everything is on top of each other - bathroom lines, concession counter lines, coat check lines, merchandise counter lines, and box office lines - all squished into one narrow space. It has terrible flow and makes for a cramped experience. The women's restroom line was very long even when they announced the other bathroom upstairs. The restroom also has a big carpeted lounge area that seems like wasted space. There were also zero security measures in place - they weren't even checking tickets at the main entrance doors (they did check them right before you entered the actual auditorium). No metal detectors or checking of bags - something I'm just so used to at DeVos. It would be more secure and feel a bit safer to me with those measures in place. Our seats were off to the aisle side of the orchestra level. We had a pretty decent viewpoint, but I was very distracted by the ushers who were playing phone police and intercepting anyone taking photos or videos during the performance. That's totally understandable, but it was annoying when one of them rushed down our row in front of us to the middle of the section right during one of the quiet ballads. I think there should be a clearer announcement at the beginning of the performance, rather than being disruptive to other guests during the show. I would come back in the future if there's a show that I really want to see that's not in GR, but it's not the best theatre experience I've had.

The first thing you notice is that they use the space very well. You walk into it and there's a refreshment area with a few options at very reasonable prices. After that there's some merchandise for sale as well. Once you go into the theater there's lots of available seating around. It's a black box style theater, with the audience pretty close to the stage, which is nice. The performance itself was top notch! Clybourne Park was funny & poignant, with a minimalist stage. The acting really brought all the characters to life. The theater seems to be doing a lot of great things for the community. They have a camp for kids in the summer and Paul, the stage director seems to have a promising vision for the future of the space. Can't wait to see what's in store for this theater in the years to come.
