After trying several vets I've found the one that's amazing. The docs take their time, very detailed and patient. Also the groomer is outstanding as well. The entire staff is friendly and kind to the pets. Additionally they charge reasonable fees. Every other vet I went to in Leesburg was more interested about the money and don't show the care. Kindness and support was not nearly as good as Battlefield. I'm driving 45 minutes each way and it's worth it. read more

We had to put our sick cat down and Battlefield was incredible with the process. Cried my eyes out upon entering the clinic and seeing candles lit for our sweet baby and asking customers to please be quiet and respectful. The vets here are so caring and the vet techs loved our boy and made his final moments extra touching. It was such a respectful, caring process. We picked out an urn and they took paw prints. It was so peaceful and they did everything they could to fight this nasty virus. Thank you Battlefield for being so kind during such a vulnerable time for my family. read more

If i could give half stars I would be at a 3.5/5 but i lean towards the positive given how they treat my animals and have had more positive than negative experience. I initially came here for spay and neuter. And neuter went good but my girl needed some more work as she had some infections that would not clear up. Luckily the vet found a staph infection after many many expensive tests but at the end of the day he helped me out and we switched our allergy medicine to work for both of them. However, sometimes the process to get prescriptions takes a while and most of the time they try to give you meds but are way more expensive. Effective yes but I am trying to save when I can. Overall, the vet is great because they really care about the animals and most of the assistants are nice with a few exceptions. read more

I'm taking not about medical assistant staff but the clinic police try to set punch of services and make you sign to pay at least a couple hundred dollars each visit, for no needs ,Pulse today had an awfully customer service ever at Manassas clinic location. Long story short, I had a tough time putting my cat. In his carrier, and I carried him on my lab and he is a big cat I was struggling . I'm I tried to open the clinic while it was raining. Both of thefront desk customers services ladies saw me and had an awful look . One ran inside, and the other kept talking over the phone. I Sat waited for a couple of minutes, then I asked the front desk's least polite to check me in, and I was frustrated because no one offered help. Then she told me other front desks tried to bring me a carrier. I told her I had mine in the car and it was more polite if you talked to me so I could explain the way quickly to everybody; then she said we don't have to check you in the registration ( check in) sheet in front of my eyes. read more

It is rare for me to leave a review even when I have had a bad experience with a business. It would have to be pretty nasty for me to write one. It was time for my puppies annual checkup at the office today. As a back story, I had asked this vet months prior if my German shepherd could receive simparica trio since I just moved to the area and she was just 5 months old; I didn't want to drive 45 minutes to the vet where she had been receiving it just for them to weigh her so I could get the accurate strength . Up until that month she was getting her heartworm medication from her prior doctor, I asked why they needed to do heartworm testing in order to authorize treatment. The receptionist said it was a procedure and that she needed to have it done at six months of age. I thought that was strange, so I contacted my older vet, who said no, she would only need to be tested at 12 months. I explained to the receptionist that her medication will be obtained from that doctor instead . I took her to the vet who supplied her with simparica trio medication and at 12 months they did the testing. Fast forward 4 months later I scheduled her annual at Battlefield and this office ( same receptionist) slid in a heartworm test for her annual exam as well as a nail trim. As my German shepherd gets anxious and pulls on the leash, I signed the documents believing I was only paying for the annual checkup, but the receptionist never explained what she was getting done ( I'm assuming they do this all the time since they have you sign documents beforehand so they can just repeat well, you signed the paper before the visit). It never occurred to me that the bloodwork was not included in the annual, (I'm not a vet and she is my first puppy so I didn't know what it was for) neither the receptionist nor the assistants mentioned what the bloodwork was for when I arrived for her annual. Additionally, they didn't mention I would be charged for a nail trim, had I known that was even on their list, I would have said no since I already paid $100 to the groomers a week earlier. The receptionist said she would contact police if I didn't pay, I would have gladly stayed and spoken to law enforcement if my dog hadn't been traumatized during the visit. My puppy had already endured a lot. I didn't want to put her through more. So I paid, I will be filing a claim. Another note: I was asked to leave the room during the visit because my presence would make my puppy more anxious. The people handling her when I exited the room did not care and used full force almost strangling her . Observing my puppy through the window, I noticed they didn't seem concerned about how they handled her. When I went back into the room, I noticed they scratched her nose and placed the bandaid where the blood was drawn in the wrong place, causing her to bleed out. In response, the nurse chuckled and said that my dog had moved the tightly wrapped bandage. (Hmm.. ok) ..... Please read this review so you can save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. While all of this was going on the doctor hid from me and couldn't be bothered. They threaten saying they have cameras but when you ask them to review the cameras they stand in the hallway pretending they are when in actuality they are just standing around gossiping ( I only know this because I walked out in the hallway to see what was taking so long) STAY AWAY from this establishment it is a joke. read more

I was able to get my dog Athena the CT scan/X-ray that a different vet clinic wasn't willing to give her (because the other vet clinic put their ego above common sense). I could not be happier with this business. I had a cat experiencing respiratory issues. As luck would have it, on a Saturday! My personal vet's office could not fit me in. I called Battlefield Animal Clinic (a place I was not a current client of) and was informed that they also were booked for the day. However, I was asked what symptoms my cat was experiencing, and after a brief hold I was told to bring my cat in. We arrived 20 minutes after I got off the phone. Once at the office, I was asked to fill out some paperwork, and we were brought back to the exam room in a very timely manner. Although my cat was premedicated, he behaved very aggressively as he does whenever he is taken outside of our home. The staff were great with him despite his behavior and did their best to calm him and keep him still for the examination and antibiotic injection. Dr. Marrow diagnosed him quickly and started him on the appropriate treatment. He also thoroughly explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. Battlefield Animal Clinic will be my new vet's office for all further care of all of my pets. read more

First Timer! Spent hours online looking for a facility to neuter my boy...the prices were on another level. $1209 from my own vet for a male 10 month old 90 lb dog? Get the heck out! I remember going to BAC's website and saw $375. What? What's the catch....not a chance! Well YES, it was $375...sign me up. This clinic is poorly ran by management. After this experience I am no longer taking my pet here due to the doctor and managers dishonesty and lack of integrity. Please be aware I had been coming to this practice for years. I had schedule a f/u appt to check my dogs ear and the receptionist schedule me as a emergency work in even thought there was no emergency. When I asked to have the charge corrected, I was given the run around by staff stating that I was spoken to prior and I ultimately spoke with Rachel Thomas their manager who stated that the veterinarian Dr. Marron had spoken to regarding payment prior. I discussed with Rachel that no one had spoken with me. I was okay with paying for that service that was given but just to correct that additional charge. Despite me communicating this, I was still charge a total of $408 dollars for this FOLLOW UP appointment when the week before I was already charge for $398.26 for the initial sick visit. I was charge for a total of $798 for an ear infection. I have total distrust in this practice for what they are actually doing here. When I spoke with the manager there was no reasoning for loyalty that I had been with them for years. I have attached the charges to my card. read more

This is my follow up puppy visit as my puppy fractured her two bones and offered me a spot today to come in. I asked if it's okay today and representative at front advised it was okay at 3. I came in, greeted terribly, representative I understand it's busy you have other clients but this is not how you provide satisfaction. I waited in room, puppy got greeted and then doctor comes in asks a few questions hands me my puppy and walks out. ? What is going on? I was told it takes about 30 min I get it things happen, but 40 min into my appointment and puppy hasn't even been taken for care. Doctor had the audacity to say I should have planned better timing, it's not guaranteed 30 minutes. Yes things happened, and yes I understand that, but you don't blame your clients for not planning better if your establishment offered a time slot and ETA. To be treated in a animal establishment where our four legged friend is suppose to be our life and joy is beyond disappointing. I can see why they offer free first time examination because if it's not for such promotion no one would come here. I will gladly take my business and puppy somewhere where both she and I will be treated like clients. I will never in my lifetime trust another veterinarinary practice! If they cared for humans I would want them to treat me. They are extraordinarily knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate professionals. Dr Marron and Dr Crawford will take the time needed to find the answers to what is wrong with your pet. They will not discount your opinion when you believe your pet is extremely sick even if standard tests look fine, they study the animal in front of them not just analytical reports. If you want your animals to have long healthy , happy lives trust Dr Marron. You may feel added tests and all the preventative measure they suggest are more than you need, but I have learned in the long run it is far more beneficial than hopefully you'll ever have to realize. Dr Marron has treated 5 of our dogs over the past 20 years. You might have a longer wait to go in for an appointment at times, but it is truly worth the wait. They will give every ounce of their time, knowledge, and ability to you while you are with them. read more

I want to update my review of groomer at Battlefield Animal clinic. After REPEATEDLY saying, signing form as well saying ABSOLUTELY NO LIONS CUT- she still did AND burned my baby. The other little spot is matted hair. The only reason I didn't check him before leaving is because they told me his chest and legs were still a little damp . He was in his carrier, that has " blinds" all over to keep him calm. I didn't want to upset him by opening it, nor did I want him to get too chilly from being damp when we went outside. I called after I saw the horrible lions cut she did. I was informed I'd have to speak to Ashley. I said I was too upset and angry to do so. I don't want to say something nasty, which I'm afraid I might do. I was then told to call on Monday ( this happened Thursday) so I could speak with Ashley and the manager would be there to " help". They actually suggested maybe it was miscommunication. Umm NO!!! I said it repeatedly to her! Even told receptionist when I was signing forms that if he came out with that kind of cut after I said no, I'd be VERY upset. So everyone knew. I found the burns just tonight, he's been hiding. Didn't want me to touch that area, so I knew something wasn't right. Seriously, I think this is the reason his chest and legs weren't dried. Told me he just didn't want dryer on him anymore, they didn't want to upset him. Again- I really do love the vet and staff, have been bringing my cats (3) , and other cats that I had ( passed away now) for years. I only wanted him to have haircut because he was coughing up bad hairballs and not eating when he had a bad one. Like when we go for trim at hair salon. I'd really like to ask her how wouldn't she feel if she just wanted a trim and they shaved her bald . I don't think she should be grooming any animal. I started with this clinic when we first rescued Kodi (Akita). We used them on a regular basis but we were disappointed that they could not board Kodi do to weight/size restrictions. Kodi passed before Thanksgiving and that was a horrible day. The staff at Battlefield was very helpful. Unfortunately, after paying quite a bit of money for cremation and other services no one contacted us to let us know about Kodi's remains. I took my German shepherd puppy here for her routine follow up shots and nail trim. We waited for about 40 minutes in the waiting area inside and my puppy was getting a little nervous and anxious because of the wait. Mind you, our appointment was at 4:20pm and we were waiting an additional 40 minutes because it was busy which was fine. One of the front desk receptionist with a very bad attitude told me that if I couldn't control my dog then to go outside with her to continue the wait time. I understand people have bad days but if she would've told me nicely to please wait outside because my dog was causing too much of a disturbance I would've waited outside or in my car until they called us in. Her attitude towards me made me leave and take my business some place else. This isn't the way you should talk to customers who are there for a service. If you're working in this field then you should know some dogs get antsy in the company of others. If you don't have the patience for this, you clearly also lack the compassion to work with animals. read more

After taking my animals to this vet for the past 6 years, I am very sad to say that this place just isn't what it used to be. The customer service, especially in the last year, has just gone completely down hill. Just within this last year, I have had numerous situations where I have ranged from mildly irritated to downright pissed. the. hell. off. I have 4 dogs and needless to say, it can get pretty expensive. I'm ok with that. I have no problem spending money on my furbabies... but lately they nickel and dime us for everything. Vet care is tops. Just have a bone to pick. They are adamant about you buying your Rx from them and give you a line about PetMeds and others supplying Rx that are not FDA approved. They make it most difficult if you want to purchase them for a much cheaper price elsewhere. I have three pets, and it's over $250 every six months for Revolution, and I have gotten quotes for FDA approved meds from online service for about $175. Just try to get them to cooperate on purchasing Rx elsewhere and then post your review. read more

I came to Battlefield Animal Clinic to get my 7 month old Pomeranian neutered. I had previously gone to a neutering clinic (low cost), but my puppy got rejected because his testicles had not dropped, something I was not aware of - a condition called cryptorchid. I made numerous calls to multiples vets around the area, and the estimate for this more extensive surgery was obscene. Battlefield had the most reasonable price by far, so that's what led me to this clinic. Upon arriving at the clinic, I was extremely weary and hesitant to enter because of the appearance of the clinic. There was a wooden board, boarding up the front of the clinic with spray painted writing, which I later found out was due to a bizarre car accident. I felt uncomfortable the entire time until I met the doctor who would perform the procedure. He was knowledgeable and put me at ease about my concerns. I decided to put my trust in his hands, and I'm glad I did. After the surgery, I was warmly greeted by the staff members. The doctor who performed the surgery was wonderful and performed the surgery with no complications. The price was as they quoted over the phone and in the consultation. No fuss / no surprises. The front desk staff members were so caring and even informed me that my puppy had been held while he awoke the anesthesia. I appreciated this so much. Overall, the clinic's service was great. Traveling all the way from Fairfax was well worth the drive. Don't judge a book by its cover! read more

This was my first visit with my 8 week old lab puppies. The ladies at reception were pretty nice and we didn't wait long. When we got into the exam room, the vet tech seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. He forgot a few things, he mumbled when he talked, and I didn't feel confident in him at all. Fast forward to the doctor. He seemed really nice and knowledgeable, but I felt it was completely rushed. (I know it's just like going to the doctor, but there's a sign out in the waiting room that said something about "be patient while we provide the most care and compassion" blah blah blah) I had a few questions, which eventually went unanswered because he didn't care to hear them. He was heading towards the door and I told him I had a few questions, and he gave me a look and just said, "what are your questions?". Didn't even ask if we had any questions before we left! Then the forgetful vet tech came back in to trim my pups nails (they insisted on it BECAUSE IT WAS FREE.) this really upset me because their nails were already pretty short. The tech ended up cutting one of dogs nails too short! So I told them not to cut my other dogs nails. We came out and the lady at reception asks if everything went okay.. I said no, but did she care? NO. I scheduled our next appointment, but I'm not sure if I'll go. I was really hoping for them to care a little more. Update October 2018- we've decided to go with a different vet. I refused to pay $400 per dog for THEIR 1 year checkup test ( which were completely unnecessary at the time bc there were done over the summer). They didn't fill our scripts for flea and heart worm because they haven't came in for an exam. I understand that.. it's law. But the staff was giving my husband and I the run around. First they told us they would dispense the meds, then they wouldn't, then they would.. and it was just insane. I gave up and made an appointment at VCA. Just make sure you ask for a breakdown of your visit to ensure you aren't paying for a service that your pet isn't due for. read more

When I got my puppy two years ago, I called my old vet to ask about his neuter, and they informed me it would be $400 - without the anaesthetic, boarding fees, etc - to neuter him. And when I asked why it was so expensive, the receptionist got nasty with me. So, on advice from a friend, I moved my boys over to Battlefield Animal Clinic, and have NEVER looked back. The techs are knowledgeable and very friendly - both to me and the dogs - while the office staff is professional and generally very on the ball. I needn't mention how helpful and polite the vets are. My only real complaint is that when I call up there, if I ask to speak to someone, my call is dropped into a black hole and never picked up. We have always had many animals and have moved a bit so we have some good experience with different Vets. Never have had one treat us like we were at Nordstroms, so keeping it within the norm. Having used BAC for 8 years now for our 3 dogs, i think i can say despite the staff turnover, we are extremely pleased with the service, prices and support. The vets are fantastic, and we have never felt rushed, got all concerns addressed (and my wife can generate a lot of concerns when it is about her pack) , and during a needed surgery for our boxer tons of follow-through and information. This is one of the few businesses I deal with I feel comfortable with recommending strongly to my friends, I pass a lot of other vets as I drive into Manassas to go here, that should say something as well. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I took my cat in a little while ago to get spayed. Worst experience of my life. While they did the surgery they added a micro chip to her. Which wouldn't be a problem if she didn't already have one. My husband had already informed them that she had one. Without checking and confirming they added one aways. So essentially I got charged for something she already had. Then they didn't seem to care what so ever. They didn't seem to care about my kitty either. Dr. French has been great, they do seem rather expensive for a small vet practice, but recently my cats had to see a male doctor (due to the fact that Dr. French had to leave early for a personal reason, which is fine) my cats were completely scared of this doctor.
