It is rare for me to leave a review even when I have had a bad experience with a business. It would have to be pretty nasty for me to write one. It was time for my puppies annual checkup at the office today. As a back story, I had asked this vet months prior if my German shepherd could receive simparica trio since I just moved to the area and she was just 5 months old; I didn't want to drive 45 minutes to the vet where she had been receiving it just for them to weigh her so I could get the accurate strength . Up until that month she was getting her heartworm medication from her prior doctor, I asked why they needed to do heartworm testing in order to authorize treatment. The receptionist said it was a procedure and that she needed to have it done at six months of age. I thought that was strange, so I contacted my older vet, who said no, she would only need to be tested at 12 months. I explained to the receptionist that her medication will be obtained from that doctor instead . I took her to the vet who supplied her with simparica trio medication and at 12 months they did the testing. Fast forward 4 months later I scheduled her annual at Battlefield and this office ( same receptionist) slid in a heartworm test for her annual exam as well as a nail trim. As my German shepherd gets anxious and pulls on the leash, I signed the documents believing I was only paying for the annual checkup, but the receptionist never explained what she was getting done ( I'm assuming they do this all the time since they have you sign documents beforehand so they can just repeat well, you signed the paper before the visit). It never occurred to me that the bloodwork was not included in the annual, (I'm not a vet and she is my first puppy so I didn't know what it was for) neither the receptionist nor the assistants mentioned what the bloodwork was for when I arrived for her annual. Additionally, they didn't mention I would be charged for a nail trim, had I known that was even on their list, I would have said no since I already paid $100 to the groomers a week earlier. The receptionist said she would contact police if I didn't pay, I would have gladly stayed and spoken to law enforcement if my dog hadn't been traumatized during the visit. My puppy had already endured a lot. I didn't want to put her through more. So I paid, I will be filing a claim. Another note: I was asked to leave the room during the visit because my presence would make my puppy more anxious. The people handling her when I exited the room did not care and used full force almost strangling her . Observing my puppy through the window, I noticed they didn't seem concerned about how they handled her. When I went back into the room, I noticed they scratched her nose and placed the bandaid where the blood was drawn in the wrong place, causing her to bleed out. In response, the nurse chuckled and said that my dog had moved the tightly wrapped bandage. (Hmm.. ok) ..... Please read this review so you can save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. While all of this was going on the doctor hid from me and couldn't be bothered. They threaten saying they have cameras but when you ask them to review the cameras they stand in the hallway pretending they are when in actuality they are just standing around gossiping ( I only know this because I walked out in the hallway to see what was taking so long) STAY AWAY from this establishment it is a joke.

I was able to get my dog Athena the CT scan/X-ray that a different vet clinic wasn't willing to give her (because the other vet clinic put their ego above common sense). Also got blood work for her here. Thank god that they were able to do it, she had thrown up metal wire she had gotten from outside and we need to make sure she's ok and that there aren't any blockages or trapped metal, along with confirming she isn't having copper/zinc poisoning

    My Casper

Very impressive and yes I would recommend to family and friends. Got us in at the last minute. Told the vet what the issue my Casper was having and he took care of it and got us out in no time.

Over charge bill for service that was terrible

This clinic is poorly ran by management. After this experience I am no longer taking my pet here due to the doctor and managers dishonesty and lack of integrity. Please be aware I had been coming to this practice for years. I had schedule a f/u appt to check my dogs ear and the receptionist schedule me as a emergency work in even thought there was no emergency. When I asked to have the charge corrected, I was given the run around by staff stating that I was spoken to prior and I ultimately spoke with Rachel Thomas their manager who stated that the veterinarian Dr. Marron had spoken to regarding payment prior. I discussed with Rachel that no one had spoken with me. I was okay with paying for that service that was given but just to correct that additional charge. Despite me communicating this, I was still charge a total of $408 dollars for this FOLLOW UP appointment when the week before I was already charge for $398.26 for the initial sick visit. I was charge for a total of $798 for an ear infection. I have total distrust in this practice for what they are actually doing here. When I spoke with the manager there was no reasoning for loyalty that I had been with them for years. I have attached the charges to my card.

I will never in my lifetime trust another veterinarinary practice! If they cared for humans I would want them to treat me. They are extraordinarily knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate professionals. Dr Marron and Dr Crawford will take the time needed to find the answers to what is wrong with your pet. They will not discount your opinion when you believe your pet is extremely sick even if standard tests look fine, they study the animal in front of them not just analytical reports. If you want your animals to have long healthy , happy lives trust Dr Marron. You may feel added tests and all the preventative measure they suggest are more than you need, but I have learned in the long run it is far more beneficial than hopefully you'll ever have to realize. Dr Marron has treated 5 of our dogs over the past 20 years. You might have a longer wait to go in for an appointment at times, but it is truly worth the wait. They will give every ounce of their time, knowledge, and ability to you while you are with them.

Since I work from home, if I can't entertain her enough she tends to get a little bit restless and then neither of us are very productive. She needs a lot of attention and exercise, so being able to drop her some days is a godsend. She comes home tired and happy. The staff here are super friendly and really seem to enjoy what they do. If my crazy pooch rolls around in special sauce (code for just about any excrement a dog can possibly accidentally roll into), they give her a quick bath so she comes home clean. Even if they're concerned about her, i.e. that small kennel cough epidemic that swept the area, they call to tell me if something is wrong. I love that they celebrate holidays and dress my pup up and send home pics and report cards. It feels like I'm getting a lot of bang for the buck, and I know she's in good hands because I can spy on the webcam! Also another awesome perk. She really loves coming here. I say "daycare" and she is by the door ready to go. I appreciate the enthusiasm they share for their pup clients and that they provide excellent service for their human clients too. It's definitely worth even the occasional splurge to have your pup be entertained, tired, and some sane human time. Let's be honest - we love our pups like we love our kids, but everyone needs a break! 2/1/19: I had to come update this because it demonstrates their high quality service. I live very close to the daycare, and yesterday when temperatures were just not safe for people or dogs to be out in, I planned to take my dog and spare us both. But the cold weather killed my car battery so we were stuck at home. The owner actually came and scooped her up for me. Now THAT is too notch and I was so very grateful, and it shows just how well they treat their human patrons too. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I've been getting charged $32 repeatedly for daycare even though i drop my dog off at closing time, so this time, I literally checked him in at 6:55pm to avoid getting charged $32 half-day rate for daycare, but got charged anyway. I asked them reconsider charging me and they told me to go pound sand. So yeah, if you are going to fraudulently charge your customers for half-day of daycare when you are actually not providing any day care service, that's just bad business in my opinion.

After I had made an appointment for boarding for 9 days (he'd be in a little room with a window to the outside) I decided to look for a sitter. I do not feel comfortable hiring any one of the (seems like) hundreds of teens or young adults that gig as a pet sitter; I was looking for a company that has experience and a good reputation. I thought the name of the company was odd, but I sent an email to the owner and she responded instantly and when I told her about my cat's issues she said she had the perfect "cat whisperer" for me. Done Deal! They came over for a meet and greet, we agreed to the terms and that was it! I left written instructions; the cat sitter checked in with me to confirm the start date. Every day I got a report (sometimes twice a day) and a report about what my little "angel" was up to. It was comforting to be so far away knowing he was being well cared for, personality and all. Best part, upon my return, everything was neat and clean- even in the litter room, so no messes for me to recover from. Thanks MMDP for helping me with dear George. I'll be calling on your services anytime I need a sitter for the precious little guy. Also of note, this company doesn't put you through an interrogation just to get an appointment, you don't need codes and lockboxes, and the prices were very reasonable. Thanks guys- you are the best!

Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

I also really like the notes that are left by the sitter/walker after every visit. This is such a great alternative to leaving your beloved pet at some over-flowing, concrete boarding facility. Your pet gets to stay comfortably in their own home with steady, reliable, animal-loving people taking care of them. What more could you ask for?! If Milo had thumbs, he'd give Rosemary & her crew 2 big thumbs up!
