I love every squirrel I see and meet on the trail. I love to see the ducks and the trees and other animals I see on the path. The people are pretty friendly too. Sometimes there are also events including recreations, fairs or concerts. This park is a local city park but it is the size of a regional park, and bigger than some regional parks. They have 3 sets of restrooms along the walking path with three water fountains. At least one of the fountains I see has a fountain for dogs. Sometimes I bring a blanket, sit on the grass, and bring some food to have a little picnic. It's a simple thing, but I always enjoy spending time here with the ocean view and the sound of the waves. I also like that they have bags available the area in case you need to clean up after your dog. I noticed there is a one of stations near the end of the street where you can grab them. From here, you can walk down toward little Corona del Mar and get closer to the beach. You can also walk on the sand, but personally I prefer staying up here because it feels cleaner and more convenient when I don't need to go down to the beach. Street parking is available nearby, but you may need to drive around a little to find a spot for parallel parking.

Marina Park offers many amenities like kayak and stand-up paddle boarding rentals. There is a playground, basketball court and an outdoor fitness area. Lighthouse Bayside Café is a restaurant in the park that has great views of the marina. There is a on-site pay lot for parking at Marina Park or park at a nearby street meter. Newport Pier and the beach are just a short walk away.

There's a kids' area inside, and honestly as an adult, it's clutch when it gets too hot outside because you have a nice indoor space to cool off. Outside, there are cool zip-line style swings, play areas for both younger and older kids, and plenty of shaded spots. Major bonus points for no woodchips -- huge win. The library also has fun music exploration activities, which was a pleasant surprise. Plus, there are easy food options nearby, so you don't have to overthink meals. Parking was easy for me, though I can see it getting tricky during busier times. There is also a soccer and baseball field here. This is a nice place to walk as well. You can do laps around the small park, and the shopping center is right across the street.
