My last trip we went to the store and I was amazed at the Germany products they had. Let me say this, I spent 22 years stationed/living in Germany and the items here are as authentic. As going to a "Metzger" in Germany. The Brötchen direct from Munich at truly authentic. We enjoy them when we have our German breakfast on the weekends. I was interested in purchasing their Zwiebelmettwurst but wanted to make sure it was safe to eat since it is literally raw pork. There were many other items that I was interested in purchasing as well. I was going to do a bulk order of at least $700 to $900 on a regular basis if things worked out. I spoke to "Danni" or "Donni" who said she was the office manager at first and then changed her title to Retail Operations Manager after I requested to speak to someone higher up in the chain of command - because she could not and would not answer as to where they source their pork meat from. She told me that they make the Mett fresh there at the place from American pork that is USDA standard. In Germany we have extra strict & special rules/procedures with the pork since it is common to eat it raw as Mett so I wanted to know more about the safety of this comapny's pork since it is sourced from America and not Germany. Makes sense and any half-brained, logical and reasonable person would have clearly understood this. I asked if their pork was at least the quality of what you would get at the local supermarket level. This "Danni" character wanted me to just take her word that their meat is superior quality over regular supermarket level and told me she just works in the office and has no way of knowing where the company sources their pork meat for the Mettwurst. When I asked for someone higher up that can provide that info she refused , suddenly changing her title to Retail Operations & Purchasing Manager and said the owner woud be the only one and that he is not going to talk to me and not going to tell me either. I asked to contact the owner and she outright became rude and refused. So I told her that this company is definitely not very transparent. She became even more rude, started yapping and trying to gaslight & argue, but I just promptly hung up in her face. Looking through all of the reviews I see that this company is routinely rude and degrading to customers. I also see that their online and mail orders reveal spoiled and inferior quality food products with deceptive shipping fees added without consent. Coupled with the clear lack of transparency and deception I have made my decision to steer clear of this company. read more

Everything is delicious. Most recently I bought frozen knackwursts and Nurnberger sausages. Thaw them and put them in the air fryer for 5 minutes and you have a treat. Pair them with some good mustard and you'll eat like a king. The flavor is unsurpassed. read more

DO NOT ORDER PERISHABLE SHIPMENTS FROM BAVARIA SAUSAGE. It's a shame to caution this because the products themselves are great. But the fact is that you are rolling the dice on getting your perishable products in safe condition. I ordered 300 dollars worth of sausage from Bavaria Sausage for an Oktoberfest party. As per instructions on the website, I made sure to order it with 2-day shipping. However, FedEx delivered my shipment late, on the third day. I opened the package within 5 minutes of it being delivered and all the sausages were outside the safe temperature range, and thus not safe to eat. I contacted Bavaria Sausage, and they said they would give me a partial refund on the product itself "as a gesture of goodwill" but would do no more for me because, though I ordered 2-day shipping, apparently FedEx gives itself 3 days to complete delivery, an important fact that is NOT made clear on Bavaria Sausage's website. They claimed that because they DO say on the website that they are not responsible for weather events (apparently my shipment was delayed because of wind), they were not under any obligation to refund my order. However, it is my feeling that if they know that 2-day shipping doesn't actually mean 2-day shipping, and they do not pack their perishable items to last through 3 days, they should make this clear on the website. The fact is that if you buy perishable items from Bavaria Sausage, you may be paying a substantial amount of money for food that you will have to throw away. And Bavaria Sausage will tell you, yeah, that sucks. read more

Second time here but first time since Covid. They have a good selection of sausage, other meats, cheeses plus lots of other German products such as mustards, chocolates, Rosti, etc. It is a fun place to browse all of the possibilities. Four stars. Now let's talk about their service. Three workers were behind the counter but only one appeared to be paying attention to those of us on the other side. Not sure what the other two were doing but eventually one lady noticed us and began to help us with our sausage selection. We then asked about some of their hams and salamis and if she had a recommendation. She said she doesn't eat them. When we asked specifically about one she said she didn't like it since it had a bad aftertaste! Wow what a great sales person and ambassador for their products. We did buy a few slices of that salami anyways and it was very good. I know that this place along with others are having trouble getting help but this lady should be booted or relegated to working in back since she doesn't understand customer service. I was on my quest to stop at as many sausage/meat and cheese shops on my travels and I frequently notice that they don't make all the products that they sell. I stopped at a cheese shop in New Glarus wi and found some items from this place, actually I wanted to stop here on Sunday on my way home but they are not open on Sunday so I kinda sorta got to get something from them. I found a venison summer sausage that I took home with to try. The venison summer sausage was good as a snack meat and cheese thing but was it the best, no because I have had better and worse but I appreciate any venison offerings. Other cheeses and sausage that I haven't seen since I have returned from Germany or used a Texas German online store. My brother recently returned from Germany and was looking for brotchen, which we found here. Got our mom her favorite German marzipan. Yum! I had an old friend bring me some of their pate style spreads and was very impressed with the flavor and quality. I made an on-line order but then was called out of town, I was worried this would be delivered and just sit only to be ruined. Made purchase of $250.65, most of the items were non-perishable on 6 May 2025. They shipped out 12 May 2025. On 14 May 2025 I checked the tracking and found that FedEx had marked as undeliverable/damaged. I called and called for several hours on 14 May and finally someone picked up phone. Joanne from accounting. I explained the situation and was told if they would ship out replacement on following Monday and that she would have to file a claim. I stated I would call back the following week. Called back the following week and again spend hours calling and again sent message with no response. Following week kept calling and got ahold of Joanne again, was told no replacement or refund could be sent out until they settled things with FedEx, she then stated that if package was delivered damaged that they were not responsible. I told her that it was never delivered nor was an attempt at delivery made by Fedex. She then told me I could again reorder everything, and I laughed and said what be out of $501. I stated it was not my fault and only fedex is at fault since they damaged package less than 2 days after it was shipped. She again told me to contact them again once she resolves the claim with fedex, which normally takes 3 days. So today is 23 Jun 2025. Still have nothing, no items, no refund. I call fedex today and was told only the shipper can file claim and according to them the shipper Bavaria Sausage had not filed a claim. So I call them and made multiple phone calls and finally Joanna answered. I kept dialing the accounting office time and after time before she answered. Takes persistence to get them to answer their phones. I explained what Fed ex just told me. She said that she had called me and left a message, which is impossible since my answering machine is full and I have caller ID and Bavaria sausage number never showed up on my phone. I told her I never received a call from them. She told me that fedex would only refund about $129 and if I would like she would refund me that amount. I was not happy with that answer and told her I would file a claim with my credit card and hung up. Bavaria Sausage is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their website does state that damaged or delayed deliveries are not reimbursable. But since no deliver was made nor attempted that rule does not apply and they should be responsible to refund or send replacement. The customer service at Bavaria Sausage is piss poor. They never reached out to resolve issue and were well aware since 14 May 2025 that I never received package and that fedex held it because it was damaged. It took hours and days to get ahold of anyone and it seems that Joanne in accounting is the only one that takes calls. Never received any response to any of the messages I sent them either. Beware of this company and know your risks when ordering online and having shipped. Seller and shipping company takes no risks only the buyer. Have never had this issue with any other company I buy from online. Terrible experience with Bavaria Sausage and recommend purchase from other companies that sell German products. read more

As it turned out the expiration date of the food product was nearly one month passed the shipping date. If you love brats and sausages this is the place for you. The place is small and parking is at a premium so it's a good thing you can also buy online and have it shipped. My favorite thing (beside the brandy filled chocolates and landjaegers) is the brat fries held during the summer. Wednesday's and Friday's, weather permitting, they hold brat cookouts in their parking lot. Beer, smoke or Cajun brats hot off the grill with a choice of grilled onions, raw diced onions, sauerkraut, mustard and ketchup. Natural casing weiners, chip and soda are also offered. Gosh, this could have been a much better experience were it not for the nasty customer "service". They have such a nice variety of products and I was very excited to place my order online. I chose Priority Mail shipping and they changed it to FedEx supposedly 2nd day air. Well guess what? They charged me over $40 for that! And it still took 3 days to get here. (Sent on Monday, arrived on Wednesday). The items were all warm but I wasn't too worried since they were items that were vacuum packed. I was, however, taken aback by the cost! It was quoted as $18.50 via Priority Mail 2-day service. When I emailed to complain that, at the very least, I should have been consulted before such massive upcharge (it was almost as much as my entire order!) I got an accusatory response and a voicemail. I called and immediately was accused of "you guys" don't read, expect this and that. Hmm. I didn't call to argue. That she said "you guys" indicates to me that this isn't the first time customers have complained about huge, unauthorized, upcharges for the same delivery window. Now the nastiness - the woman shouted at me, told me "never order from me again" and hung up. Liebchen, it's a given that I'll never order from you again. Nor will I recommend the place. It's a shame that such a simple thing like a courtesy email can't be sent to confirm a much higher shipping cost than quoted when changing without customer approval. Go elsewhere. I don't know if that was because they ship the sausage frozen. What was supposed to be a treat turned out to be a huge disappointment. Packaging and shipping was great, but what's the point if the product sucks? Their website lists some customer reviews, all just full of praise. How to spell customer SERVICE might be hard for some businesses. Unfortunately that seems to apply to this company. Taking money: super fast, sending: decent speed (I cut them slack for the current Covid situation) However, not wrapping dumpling powder that comes in a box all soaked because it has been sitting on the sweating ice without an extra plastic wrap or bag around it is a no-go. We pay a pretty buck for the items (Some items are absolutely overprized) and should at least deserve a feedback if something did not work out properly. On another note: the 'fresh Mettwurst' is the worst I have ever had. Big chunks of fat and skin, I cannot eat it and I usually love my Zwiebelmett from various producers). I placed an order for Nuremberger bratwurst. They shipped it FedEx ground from WI to NC. The FedEx driver left the box in the sun near our garage and not on the porch around 1:28pm. Box sat in sun until we noticed it at 5:30pm. Box didn't have nearly enough ice packs and interior of box read 75° with an infrared thermometer. Had to throw away the order. Filed claim with FedEx and was denied because it was up to Bavaria Sausage to pay claim apparently. Called Bavaria Sausage, spoke with Christy (Sp?). She was very curt and somewhat rude, telling me they denied the claim and pointed the finger at FedEx and that once the product leaves their facility, they are not responsible. If you're going to eat meat in tube form. Do yourself a favor: spend the extra 20 cents per pound (yes I actually checked some brat prices), go down to Bavaria Sausage Kitchen, and get the real thing. They've got your regular brats, your fresh brats, your smoked brats, your beer brats, your weiners, your weisswurst, your polish and a bunch of sausages you've probably never heard of, but are undoubtedly delicious. I did a BBQ for about 70 people, which gave me the opportunity to load up on just about every tubed meat in the case. Plus BSK has their more popular products packed in cases of 25, in the freezer, ready to go. Service was nice and prompt, even with such a big order right near the end of business. And, most importantly, my customers were happy. I received lots of compliments on the quality, and there wasn't a single sausage left at the end of the day (although I did spy a few half-eaten greasy frozen burgers that had been abandoned). So for the quality, the location, and the service....Bavaria Sausage Kitchen has earned their five stars. A few minor details. Thanks to Daniel K. for the recommendation. The BSK website looks a little garish, but his comment got me over that. Also, let me say, BSK has TONS of other products. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful and, because we bought a huge amount for a party, they even threw in a free box of orange liqueur chocolates for us! I inquired about a curious sign near the cash register that read "Fresh Venison". Basically, if you're a local hunter and bring your deer in here, they'll do all the necessary butchering for you. My boyfriends parents wanted a gift card from here for Christmas, so we made a stop while we were in town yesterday. As mentioned previously, IT'S AMAZING. I'm a vegetarian, so the meat has no appeal to me, but they had a ton of sausages, sliced meats, and even fish! Their selection of cheese was also quite impressive. What really was cool to me was the massive amounts of chocolate and European bakery mixes! I had a hard time picking out what I wanted, until I saw a box full of chocolate with a picture of kittens on it, and it was called Katzenzungen! Its so fun just to say!
