    Peartini!
    Sarah F.

This is a hidden find in Fitchburg, I can't believe we had never been. We had great service (shout out to Rebecca) and the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. The place was busy on Friday night, but it was fun to get out! We both had the peartini which was a little watery tasting and bitter in a strange way. Other than that, everything was delish! I had the chicken piccata and we split sweet potato fries, which were amazing. My partner had a pesto grilled cheese -- holy goodness! The tables are a little bit close together, so things feel cramped and you are very close to those dining beside you. It's a small place but definitely good.

After hot yoga a friend and I wanted to try this new to us restaurant. A Saturday afternoon it wasn't too busy but it did get busier the longer we stayed lol. It's a cute place to have lunch. I ordered the Cheesy Steak Sandwich and a Pomegranate Margarita. My sandwich and margarita were really good. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Even when they became busier she still checked on us. The margarita was huge compared to other restaurants and I loved that they used Pom pomegranate juice. As for the Cheesy Steak Sandwich it included hearty slices of ribeye with fresh provolone and mozzarella cheeses, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and garlic aioli, loaded between slices of grilled panini. I will definitely return!

Went with a friend for lunch and our server was AMAZING. Super attentive and let us know about the menu. There are a lot of TVs and it can get a bit loud with the TVs on and people talking. The food was tasty and came out quick. The dinner menu/entrees starts at 3:00pm so I was too early for that. A decent number of options on the menu though even if you're too early for the dinner.

Great atmosphere, there is a deck so you can bring your yummy drinks outside. Emma was our bartender and she was a blast to talk to. The food was delicious and of course the drinks were yummy! I give it thumbs up!!

The service and food were excellent. Loved the sauce on the schnitzel and the charred sprouts were great. They have a great beer and whiskey menu at very reasonable prices. The team handled the various restrictions very well and were very responsive. Recommended.

As far as a solid bar to go and choose from a wide selection of great domestic and international beers, you cant go wrong here. I found a new favorite sour I truly enjoyed. Duchesse de Bourgogne, Flanders Sour Red Ale is delicious. The Founders French Toast Backwoods Bastard, Wee Heavy Scotch Ale is also very good but a bit heavier and slightly more stout like. Bar staff were way cool and kind as well. Not too busy at about 930pm on a Friday night when I stopped in. I need to come back for food next time.

    Amazing beer menu

Gosh, I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere is great, the beer list is phenomenal, the food menu is great, and the outdoor patio is beautiful when weather permits. When the Hound first opened I wasn't wild about a lot of their food options, but now I it's always such a tough decision with the food menu because I want almost everything. I was just here with the family for dinner, and ordered the pappadew burger with veggie patty. It was super delicious, although I must say I've had better veggie patties before. Still, I appreciate that it's homemade and everything on the burger was great. I like to think of myself as a french fry connoisseur, and theirs were perfect as a side! The mixed greens as a side also looked delicious. Tough decisions! Everyone else at the table enjoyed their entrees and everything looked amazing. Service was great, and most of the restaurant is wheelchair accessible with exception of one raised seating area on the side.

    We demolished the poutine.

Our waiter gave us great tips in navigating the menu and experiencing the variety - and it could not have been a more special experience celebrating my brother's 60th birthday with my 91 years old dad. They have 3 Old Fashion options - we tried 2 and they were both rock solid. The ravioli and trout almandine are savory entrees that didn't disappoint. The baked potato is an innovative cloud pleaser but highly recommend sharing. And don't sleep on the onion soup - I've never experienced anything like it. The smell that emanates when you first pierce the creamy foam layer will make you say 'whoa.' Will definitely return.

The restaurant was beautiful and the service was amazing. I appreciated that our waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu and what ingredients they contained, which is perfect for anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions (like myself). We were seated near the open kitchen which also added to the dining experience. I tried: - Scallop toast - I really enjoyed this. It was mild, not fishy tasting at all, and the brioche was toasted very well. I'm not a huge seafood person aside from sushi and poke, and had never had scallops before, so I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. - Ricotta Raviolini - I was not a huge fan of this, which was especially disappoint since it was my main entree / the most expensive on this list. It was essentially a folded sheet of pasta with a tiny bit of ricotta, topped with barely cooked asparagus and snap peas. The menu also lists lemon infused olive oil, but I didn't taste that at all. The parts of the raviolini with a good amount of ricotta were delicious, but the dish overall was bland and tasted like raw asparagus and peas. My friends also tried it and none of them liked it either. - Baked Potato with The Works - super simple and perfectly executed. It comes with bacon, which we got on the side since I don't eat red meat. Potato was fluffy and salted perfectly, with a good amount of other toppings. My friends who do eat bacon said it tasted more like ham than bacon, and they actually preferred the potato without it. - Dark Chocolate Bread Pudding - Loved it. I love bread pudding and chocolate pudding, but never thought to combine the two. It was delicious - soft, not super sweet, and great portion size. I would recommend sharing, it's pretty rich which can be overwhelming at a certain point. - Flightless Bird mocktail - this was one of the best mocktails I've tried. It has a black tea base but tasted more like a regular cocktail without the alcohol burn rather than tea. Everyone at the table enjoyed trying it too. Despite the raviolini being a miss, the rest of the food, service, and ambiance made this such a wonderful dining experience that I can't wait to come back and try more.

We made a 12:00 PM reservation, which was definitely necessary because the place was full. Right off the bat, our server asked if anyone had food allergies or dietary restrictions. When I mentioned I have celiac disease, he confidently assured me they could absolutely accommodate it, which immediately gave me peace of mind. I ordered a strawberry spritz and we shared the gluten-free donuts to start. A huge win for the celiac community is that they have a dedicated fryer, so we also safely shared the truffle fries. For our main entrees, I had the fried rice which was excellent. My husband ordered the skirt steak hash with gluten-free toast and loved it, though it is worth noting for others that it packs quite a lot of spice. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive regarding the allergy protocols. The overall service ran a little slow, but it was understandable given how slammed they were for the Sunday rush. As an added bonus, the restaurant has its own parking lot, making the logistics seamless. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot, especially fellow celiacs looking for a safe and delicious meal!

Since it was nice outside we opted to eat on the small patio which was nice. Our server was was very good and kept things moving. It was happy hour so we ordered two of their spritzes which were $6 each - they were both good (strawberry/ limoncello). Appetizers were supposedly $10 each during happy hour - we got the tempura veggies which were very good. We also got the chicken wings which we later found out when we got the bill that they were not considered to be an appetizer covered by the happy hour pricing (they should make this clearer on the menu.) The wings themselves were good but six wings for $18 was a ripoff. I get it that inflation is high but that is ridiculous... My wife got the fried chicken sandwich which was very dry. This was the same result last time we were here - I guess we should have read our review and avoided it. Overall it was just an OK experience - disappointing.

It is not. It is rock candy flavored with agave. It was sweeter than my wife's rail Margarita on the rocks with salt. Their French onion soup is arguably the worst I've ever had. Flavorless. Slightly warmer than room temperature and the cheese was barely melted yet alone browned. Their appetizer of pork belly Fundido was the best option of the evening. Flavorful delicious and filling it was fantastic. However, the $40 pork chop entrée was unpalatable. Describe as a pork chop topped with a strawberry barbecue sauce. The sauce had no strawberry flavor. The pork chop can hardly be described as a grilled pork chop and is better described as a salt brine soaked Virginia ham warmed topped with watered down sweet baby rays barbecue sauce. Honestly. You could take this cut of meat, put it in a wooden box in the woods and use it as a salt lick stand during deer season. It was disgusting as much as it was dehydrating. The accompanying mac and cheese was basically Kraft dinner topped with panko. The highlight was the summer squash and that's saying a lot as it was nothing special and for crying out loud-it's squash. My wife and I could not stomach finishing more than half the entree between us and left. I repeat. The servers at the bar were great. But nearly everything brought in front of us disappointed.

The sangria is strong but you won't know it until you stand up. We started with the cheese puppies and they had a fantastic pull to them. Some of the best version of cheese curds I've had in a while. My husband and I both had salads and the bowl was too small for the salad but it was a decent salad I do wish the cheese was sprinkled on top as it ended up going to the bottom of the bowl. For an entree I had steak frites. Fries were solid and the cooking of the steak was good with the charcoal but it didn't have much flavor. The chard on the side was also good considering I've never had it. For dessert we had the valentine special chocolate cake and again it was good but nothing super special. We didn't stick around the bar too long but enough to get a winning pull tab. I would come back for the bar tenders they seemed chill.
