We booked the Superior Double Queen Patio room and we were very glad we did. Having the patio outfitted with a table and 4 chairs makes make your living space feel a lot bigger. Plus your automobiles can be parked within eyesight on the 2nd level. You can walk almost everywhere from here. Walking to the local Safeway might be a tad too much for most folks though, especially if you buy a lot of stuff. I drove to the Safeway for a bottle of liquor and soda chaser, for example. I will drive to a fresh fruit stand also. We enjoyed the hotel breakfast also. The very fluffy biscuits seemed home made and the sweets(cinnamon rolls and a walnut something muffin) also appeared to be done locally. I enjoyed my cinnamon roll. Coffee was excellent, not watery. The meat protein varied and was also surprisingly very decent, not to salty. The breakfast is better than at most Hilton properties, IMHO. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

I am not even sure how they did it but what a nice place with a small remote lodge feeling, but in the most central part of town. Walk out the front door and across the street and you are at the central park in the middle of the shopping area. Even a complimentary breakfast actually worth enjoying. Truth be known, the kielbasa was so good I didn't each much else. Ok, let's talk about the room. very well organized with a 4 post bed, a fire place and a very nice bathroom. I recently stayed here for two nights, and in the past I have as well. It's a lovely place, with a design that really fits the style of Leavenworth! The location is wonderful as you can walk to the Leavenworth village in just a few minutes. The room was comfortable, the bed plush and plenty of pillows to choose from. Although there was an adjoining door, thankfully noise was not an issue during our stay. We had the complimentary breakfast on our first morning here, which is a nice perk of staying here. I liked the omelet with onions and peppers. The food was OK overall. We got a margarita pizza from the pub restaurant which was good. It's nice to have a food option available right in the hotel. Went into the pool once - it's located outside. It was refreshing to cool off. The size of the pool is on the smaller side, and so once people come in and get noisy, naturally it isn't so relaxing. Would've stayed in longer, but oh well. The first night, my family member told me that our room was out of conditioner and she used the little bit remaining, and that we were also low on shampoo. I went to the front desk and requested more shampoo and conditioner. The desk attendant said you just had to push the container hard (there are dispensers opposed to individual travel-size bottles). I went back to the room and only got a few drops of conditioner to use. The following day, we asked a housekeeping team member to check our dispensers. She ALSO said you just had to push the dispenser hard. But when they came to our room later that day, we saw that the dispensers had been filled up because finally there was product in each and plenty to use. Not sure why it couldn't have been fixed in the first place, and it was assumed we weren't using them correctly. Once we checked out from the hotel, my family member remarked it was strange that the person at the front desk just promptly took our two room key cards and didn't say anything, like briefly asking how our stay was, or simply just a quick 'thank you' for staying here. Maybe it was just particularly busy.... but something like that can go a long way. read more

You really can't beat the location of the Bavarian Lodge. All you have to do is cross the street, and you are right in downtown Leavenworth. The hotel is super cozy and well maintained. I spent two nights here and my room was very comfortable. I'm normally not a big fan of hotel breakfasts, but I enjoyed it on both days. The only small downside to staying here is the parking. While technically the hotel provides quite a bit of parking, it is super crowded with tight spaces. Thankfully I drive a small car so I was able to get into one of the few remaining spots without any issue. read more

We stayed at the Bavarian Lodge for our anniversary Dec 8 and 9. Curtis on the front desk was very kind and attentive. The hotel is gorgeous, and our king bedded room was spacious and comfortable. We happened to arrive in Washington during the recent highly unusual heavy rains. This did not deter from the ambiance of either the hotel or Leavenworth itself. The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from Leavenworths Christmas village. A lovely and charming place to spend a day. All dressed up for Christmas, Leavenworth feels like a visit to Germany without the language barrier or the 14 hour flight. I want to provide a clear and comprehensive review, not only of the hotel but of the entire experience staying in Leavenworth. Some may feel it is not fair to evaluate the hotel within the broader context of the town, but given the circumstances, this is the most accurate way to help future visitors understand what they may encounter. Anyone planning to stay in Leavenworth for several days should be aware of these details. My family and I arrived in Leavenworth on December 9, 2025. The hotel made a very strong first impression. The property was clean, cozy, and visually appealing with impressive Christmas lights throughout the exterior. The room itself was not large, but it was reasonable for a family of four and initially appeared comfortable. The first problem we encountered was the toilet. It would not stop filling with water, and the only way to stop it was to remove the tank lid and manually press the internal mechanism. This was inconvenient and unsanitary, and it is something guests should never have to handle. Another issue was noise. The walls were extremely thin and it was very easy to hear voices and movement from neighboring rooms. This did not completely ruin the stay since we were only there for two days, but it is something that future guests should be aware of. The most serious problem occurred on our second day at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon when the power went out. Naturally, we expected the hotel to have an emergency generator. They did not. When we asked for an update, we were told power would return by 7 in the evening. At 7 we were told the new estimate was 10. At 10 the power was still out. It soon became clear that the entire town was without power and that no part of Leavenworth had any form of emergency backup system. There were no lights outside, no emergency lighting in the streets, nothing at all. It felt as if the entire town had shut down instantly. For a location that markets itself as a major tourist destination, this level of unpreparedness is unacceptable. Emergencies happen, but what matters is the response. The hotel staff appeared inexperienced and more focused on their building than on the guests who were suddenly without heat, lighting, or access to food. After nearly two hours, the hotel eventually provided a few snacks, mainly soda and chips. While appreciated, it was nowhere near enough, and staff made no visible effort to check on guests or reassure anyone in the lobby. One staff member mentioned that this was the first time something like this had happened in a decade. That may be true, but it does not excuse the complete lack of preparation for an emergency situation. The public utility department responsible for restoring power also did not seem to make significant progress. I understand that Leavenworth is a remote area and repairs can be challenging. However, if the town wants to maintain its reputation as a premier tourist attraction, there needs to be a higher standard of readiness. In other tourist regions, power outages rarely last beyond a couple of hours because the infrastructure is designed to protect both visitors and residents. In this case, the outage lasted more than twelve hours, and all food establishments were closed. There were no options for families who needed meals or warmth. This was an unfortunate experience for us, and I am certain many other visitors felt the same. Despite this situation, our overall trip to Washington was still worth it because Seattle offered a much more enjoyable and well prepared environment for a family vacation. read more

Check in was easy and the staff are very informative. They asked what type of vehicle we are driving and I tell them it's a Ford Behemoth. Because it's a full grown truck they need me to park in the back. The back lot is large enough, but getting there will induce a bit of pucker factor due to squeezing between a building and a fence on a tight turn. We had to pull the mirrors in to make it. - bring a small car. - a little exploration later showed us there is a larger entrance to the upper parking lot behind a church, phew! The Woodsman Pub is on the first floor by the front desk and is a wine and beer pub. They also have a snack items menu for a bite to eat. The rooms and the entire hotel in general has a very rich natural wood feel and environment. The doors to the rooms and in the rooms are nice solid heavy wooden doors. Even the sliding doors on the patio are wooden and I've never had a sliding glass door operate so smoothly. The Headboard for the bed is made of what looks like may be willow logs. The chairs are padded but the back, legs and even the coffee table are made of small logs. On the coffee table was a gift to me for my Birthday celebration, a small Lava Cake in a dome. Such a nice touch, and unexpected! Our room has a small gas fireplace with a large wooden mantelpiece. The fire is very effective in heating the room as well as adding to the ambiance of a Bavarian cabin. The bed is a nice medium firmness and the pillows are a little bit towards the soft side, but there are plenty of them. It looks like the sofa pulls out into a hide-a-bed but we haven't explored that. There is a dresser for those of us who like to unpack. We are here for a week, so yes, Thank You! There is a clothes closet with several hangers, an iron and ironing board. A small nook offers a micro fridge, cold water faucet, coffee pot and a microwave. Plus there is always plenty of coffee and room supplies in the lobby. There are also ice dispensers that have small bags of ice perfectly proportional to the ice buckets in the rooms. The view off the balcony of our room shows the front row of old town. At night the Bavarian look is accentuated by the decorative lights trimming the buildings and trees. The bathroom is fairly large and modern. It has a unique glass wall with no door. We had to aim the shower head straight down to avoid splashing out into the rest of the bathroom. A floor towel at the shower entrance was also useful. This morning we tried the complimentary breakfast and it was truly outstanding! Everything was made fresh, nothing frozen from a box. The biscuits and sausage gravy are very good and seasoned well. The egg omelette came in a large pan and resembles more of a frittata. Fresh tomato and spinach really made this work, excellent flavor. All this food at the breakfast bar is outstanding! Everything here is made by the cooks in the kitchen. The potatoes are also freshly prepared and seasoned very nicely and are tender. These rooms are very well maintained and the abundance of natural wood gives it a very rich warm feeling. read more

YES! I'm typically not into kitschy decor but the entire town of Leavenworth is kind of that way. We had two nights here and loved our comfortable stay! They have a decent pub with a beer and wine menu and some apps. Plenty of cozy seating and games to keep you entertained. Our room was a king balcony, and was immaculate. I am seriously a clean freak and this place impressed me for sure. Not even on the balcony could you find a spider web in the corner! Nice size bathroom, great shower, very comfortable bed. We slept great. We had two lovely days to add to our memory book of the PNW and this hotel had alot to do with it. We also used the pool and hot tub and both were great. There was a mix up with our room we thought we booked a balcony and when we checked into our room and there was no balcony, we went back to the front desk to ask for an upgrade, and it was taken care of immediately. Keaton rocks! This place held such a high standard that we actually had plans to go to Suncadia right after our Leavenworth trip and we were so disappointed in the condition of the rooms we just left. This is a step back into time in a very enchanting and sweet place. For what kind of experience this is, I give it five stars... Although this is not a five star hotel. It IS 5 stars in energy and personality! It's not snooty or pretentious. We absolutely love this place and while it's not cheap it's also not expensive. The front desk goes out of their way to make you feel so comfortable, all of them. They are so kind and gracious, and give you warm greetings and big goodbyes. They helped us with numerous little things!! This place gives extra special effort to make you comfortable and make you feel really at home. If you like a snuggly at home feeling, this place is absolutely perfect. There is a puzzle to do on the table, books for kids to read, a Christmas tree, stuffed animals galore and you can even buy soft, warm, fuzzy blankets, gloves, jackets and hats here. They have the most refreshing infused water that is so delicious, especially after a day of wine tasting. The morning breakfast cooks work really hard to get breakfast out and keep everything stocked. Breakfast is good ol'home cookin' - not fancy, but rich and filling! The biscuits n gravy are yum! I've never eaten' biscuits n gravy! I'm a neophyte- but I thought they were delish!! Housekeeping was also great! The sheets/blankets and pillows deserve a little extra mention! So so comfy! Went on our honeymoon and the hotel is great, except for a few things. The bed was extremely hard (felt like we were sleeping on the floor) and the breakfast was not as good as people made it sound. The view was beautiful, especially if you get a room with a balcony. Staff is friendly and attentive. You are able to borrow movies too. My wife and I arranged to spend two nights in Leavenworth at a different hotel. The other hotel had to shut down for some maintenance issues the night of our reservation. However, the weather had closed the roads in and out of town! So, we looked around and found a room at The Bavarian Lodge. The rooms at the Bavarian Lodge were so much better and at half the rate of the first hotel. I wish I had found the Bavarian Lodge to begin with! With a family friendly pub, complimentary hot breakfast, a heated (outdoor) pool and two (outdoor) hot tubs, a restaurant in the parking lot, and located right across the street from the center of all the attractions, the Bavarian Lodge is well worth the money. We've been staying here for years. We stayed in one of the turret rooms 13 years ago for our wedding getaway and that experience was pretty neat! We came back last weekend for our anniversary and stayed in a king room and it was just as great as I remembered. The room had a balcony which overlooked the village in the room also had a cozy little fireplace, which I thought was a great touch. TV had lots of options with their cable, including movie channels, and there's a wide selection of DVDs to bring up to your room to watch if needed. Each room comes with a DVD player. Rooms felt clean and tidy as did the hotel very cozy. We were on the second floor and the first night I will say we did hear quite a bit of movement in the room above us but the rest of the weekend was fine. There is a hot tub on the second floor, which we have not been to in any of our stays yet but maybe the next stay! This hotel is very close and convenient to the shops downtown. They were in the process of putting up the well-known Christmas lights, it would be fun to come back when all the lights are up. There is a free breakfast included in your stay which is always a draw for me. Our second morning they ran out of potatoes at 9:30amwith the breakfast ending at 10am. The kitchen staff was all great and kind. I do think they can maybe step up the breakfast game a little bit. We will definitely be back to stay. It's the only play we stay in Leavenworth! read more

We stayed at Bavarian Lodge over the Christmas holiday {2 rooms with 4 night stay} i had booked my reservations 11 months in advance {it was for my mom's first visit to my favorite lil town and the lodge i love the most} in October i called to confirmed my reservation only to learn the rooms i had requested was not what was booked.. i called everyday up until the day of arrival to upgrade.. with no prevail it was OK.. we still had balcony rooms facing the downtown park area.. Fast foward.. during the stay a few issues arose {being a travel agent that recommends this lodge to my clients i felt i must send a email to the lodges general manager} Matt contacted me after the holidays and was very understanding, gave me great customer service and assured me our next stay things will go smoother. I was so happy with the outcome.. Winter Karnival 2026 is already in the planning stages for our next visit.. This agents {and traveler} advice.. don't let one bad apple spoil the whole trip {no matter where you go} enjoy your time, reach out to the GM or owner and express your concerns i assure you, you will be happy you did.. not only for you but for guest you don't even know... Location Location Location! Bavarian Lodge is located right across from the main Leavenworth hub where all the shops and restaurants are located. The staff at the front desk were friendly. They provide fresh fruit/cucumber infused cold water next to the check-in counter and hot beverages (coffee, Tazo tea packs, cider, hot cocoa) to the left of the elevators. The room was clean but be warned in advance the walls are thin. You can hear people talking next door and in the hallway. The highlight were the 2 hot tubs and the warm pool (open from 9 am to 9 pm). We only used the tubs; they were heated perfectly. I checked off an item on my bucket list which was to be in a hot tub while it snowed. The complimentary breakfast buffet was decent but not exceptional. We visited late February but were fortunate the town still had holiday lights on. We had a fantastic time here at the lodge. Our visit was during the Christmas light season. So beautiful. Snow on the ground, Snow falling from the sky, Snow covered hills all around. The shopping, the fun, the food.... everything was so wonderful. We had a view of the park and the downtown area with all the lights. I could not stop looking out our window. This place was amazing. My only wish is that I could have ordered liquor at the bar. It is only beer and wine. A nice hot buttered rum in front of the fire would have been amazing. Great place overall. My family have been making an annual trip to Leavenworth around the holidays for a couple of years now and this was our first stay at the Bavarian Lodge. In terms of the location, everything is great: Well appointed rooms, super convenient location to shopping and food in the famous Bavarian village area of downtown, etc. They have a pub in the lobby, open to all ages during business hours, so kiddos can feel welcome pretty much anywhere. They also have a good selection of food items, mainly appetizers and pizza, available as room service. We were even allowed an early check in when we got into town a little sooner than expected. I have two children, and our oldest was very excited about the pool. Unfortunately, though the pool is heated, it's also located outdoors and the temperatures were dropping into the mid to low 30s (Fahrenheit), which seemed more like a recipe for pneumonia than a good time. No big deal, but if a pool is integral to your stay, there are other places nearby with indoor pools that might serve your nervous system a little better than others. We were also hassled a little bit regarding our vehicle (a midsize Ford F150) in their parking garage. We were asked to move the vehicle to the much narrower lot behind the hotel so we don't get "tagged," according to the person at the front desk who called us at our room specifically to have us move the truck. She'd stated the garage is only for compact vehicles, but there were at least three full size SUVs (easily as large or larger than our Ford) occupying the same lot whose owners were not, at least as of the time I was down there, asked to relocate their vehicles. We'll see how many cars I "tag" trying to back out in the morning. That's gonna be tricky. Again, and overall, this place is great. If you happen to drive an older truck, maybe save yourself the hassle and park in back (if you can find a spot) and save yourself the inconvenience. read more

Super cute inn in right across the street from the Leavenworth town center. The rooms are comfortable and clean. We stayed in 409, which faces town, and enjoyed looking at the lights up already for Christmas. Our room had a king bed and a couch that had a pull out bed (good to know if we come again with our son). The amenities include free movies to "rent" in the lobby, and a coffee/hot chocolate/apple cider set up that is available 24 hours a day. There is a pub inside that serves more appetizer style foods and a mostly beer list. Don't expect a huge meal or a big wine list. During the busy season, the hotel apparently closed the pub to outside visitors due to how busy it gets. Breakfast is free in the morning. It was... okay. Not exciting. So why not 5 stars? Because parking is awful. They do have spots in the back (drive to the right of the parking garage), but their lot fills up! I recommend booking WAY in advance if you want to stay here between Thanksgiving and Christmas. They open reservations a year in advance and get fully booked. However, if you don't care about the holiday madness, this would be a great place to stay in town. read more
