After utter frustration at the local BMW dealer (Weatherford), we brought our 2008 BMW X3 to Bavarian Professionals who were just that: true professionals. Eric listened carefully to our car's history and our current concerns (a seemingly fatal problem which the local dealer wanted to fix for a price greater than the car's value). He calmly laid out a decision tree and a series of tests/intermediate fixes we could try; explained their probability of working and their costs; and recommended a cost-effective plan to diagnose and resolve the issue. So this time I chose Bavarian Professionals because of the high reviews. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I am an international student and my English is not very good yet. I'm from LA. I hoped to find a shop as good here (in the Bay Area) to care for my 02 330CI as I had/have in LA. I didn't find it in BP! I suppose I caught BP on a bad day because they SUCKED! They weren't knowledgeable and tried to convince me to have the power window motor (on each side I believe over 2k total) replaced because the window was not properly going into the groove all the way. Instead of flying to LA, I drove and took my car back to where I know it's cared for properly. The window issue was solved in less than an hour and cost me $60.00 bucks. Good luck all of you that have had good service because they won't get a return customer in me and everyone I know with a BMW (and that's many) I'll tell them to steer clear! I was quoted less initally but in the end, I paid $150.00 more than the dealer to get my e60 battery replaced. I understand that programming can take time but according to forums, dealers let them get away w/ 1 hour programming rather than 2 hours of bavpros charged me. They are overpriced I think considering that: 1. They're not a dealer 2. The shop doesn't have a nice lounge where you can sit, relax and wait. 3. They don't even have complimentary beverages except water. read more

Bavarian recently helped me tremendously in a difficult situation. The dealership from which I'd purchased my MINI wanted to charge me ~$3,000 to fix an oil leak, a transmission fluid leak, and cracked lower control arm bushings. I decided to seek a second opinion and called Bavarian. Vanessa took down all my information, and within 20 minutes I received a call back from Nat, who provided a worst-case-scenario everything-has-to-be-replaced estimate of $2,050---30% less than MINI! He said he'd have to inspect the car before making a more precise estimate, so I dropped it off for them to take a look. The next day, Marta from Bavarian called to let me know that there was no oil leak, there was no transmission fluid leak, and the bushings were completely intact. They did want to inspect the wheel bearings because the tires were loud, and those turned out to be fine, too. Total cost: $42. So, Bavarian saved me ~$2,958 and a lot of unnecessary work on my car. I've filed a complaint against the dealership that diagnosed nonexistent problems and quoted me $3,000 to "fix" them. Thanks to everyone at Bavarian for their honesty. read more

Sure, this place isn't the cheapest, but if you have a BMW, the boat has sailed long ago with being cheap. If you want cheap services, then go buy a Toyota. Had faulty ignitor coils diagnosed by BMW dealership and they charged me pretty much my first born child. I thought I'd give Bavarian pros a shot because it came highly recommended by a friend. I found Bavarian Professionals via an advertisement in the BMW CCA magazine: there is a picture of Nat (one of the owners) and a line about his being called obsessive and taking it as a compliment. Next I checked BP out on Yelp and decided to try them for a service on my 335i convertible. BP did an excellent job: every single aspect of the service was explained to me once the car had been inspected; I also asked for quotes on a couple of very minor cabin repairs and these were also explained in great detail. The service was carried out quickly and efficiently and the car was returned to me washed and cleaned inside. I wasn't able to pick the car up on the day the service was completed but it was no trouble for BP to keep it an extra day. In all, Bavarian Professionals is very deserving of 5 stars. read more

When I bought my 1995 BMW M3 in 2004 ; I took it straight here to replace all the stuff that normally fails on 75k car and had Bav Pro's fix it. They're not the cheapest option out there, but you get what you pay for. I brought them a tricky problem to diagnose that other shops couldn't solve.They offered a loaner car while they figured out the issue, and never charged for work that did not solve the problem. SUPERB is all I have to say. I was cautious at first to take my M5 to a smaller shop once the service warranty was over - but thank goodness I did!! No more uber-poor customer service at Concord BMW, no more Ferris Bueller joy rides for their car wash guy (they actually blew my clutch out while driving 12 miles for an oil change??), no more seat and radio station changes. My 2007 530i had a misfiring engine, so I decided to take it to these guys. I called them in the morning, and they said they weren't sure if they had time today, but I could leave my car there and they can try to squeeze it in. I drove my car there, and they gave me a ride to my workplace! Amazing! At the end of the day, they called me, told me what was wrong with my engine, picked me up. When I saw my car, it was nicely cleaned, and my engine was fixed. They told me what the problem was, what they did to fix it, and charged me a very reasonable price (cheap when compared to a dealer). I brought my 2001 X5 in for Engine Failsafe Mode. They said it would probably need a new throttle body and wiring harness, for about $1800. However, upon removing the throttle body to see if it was the same date as mentioned in the service bulletin, they noticed an o-ring lodged in the throttle body. Nat called me to advise me of this and that the o-ring was probably caused by when they replaced the coolant recovery tank and it wasn't noticed at that time. Businesses make mistakes, it happens. Nat totally stepped up to the plate, said since it was probably their fault, the cost to repair the X5 is $0. Absolutely no charge to me. I've been using Bavarian Professional to service my BMWs since 1993 (less a couple of years where I wasn't driving a BMW) and this is their first mistake, and they took ownership and accountability to a whole new level. This year, I bought two 3-series BMWs on the E46 chassis. A 1999 323i and a 2001 330i. Nino, and Bavarian Professionals helped me to inspect, diagnose, and repair both cars. All of their work and recommendations are very well documented in their customer management system, so I always know what needs to get done next. This particular style of BMW is prone to a number of reliability problems, and Bavarian Professionals was on top of all of them. Additionally, as an auto wholesaler, I could give Nino a call at anytime to give me a rundown of what an error light might mean, what a funny noise might indicate, or what high mileage models to avoid. I can safely say that the money that I gave them was money well spent. The reason I knew about them in the first place was because they used to do great work with my wife's 1988 BMW 528i. I took my late model year 3er here for an interim oil change since BMW will only change oil every 15k miles under the maintenance program (seriously, BMWNA? 15k miles!). If you do need to wait at Bav Pros for your car, they provide WiFi in the waiting area. That's a nice touch. My car was ready as promised, including a courtesy wash.
